Anyone know the process of buying a suppressor through private sale? I've been told taking it to a class 3 dealer and then having to do a 6 month wait. Is this true?
do you have any rockets for it?
M72's aren't re-loadable, unless maybe you take them to a factory.
I posted this in a video thread, but I figured it was fitting: My friend and I open carried on black friday. The most we saw was a black lady threating to shoot another person with whatever nonexistant gun she had. Well, I guess she shut the fuck up when she saw two serious as fuck white guys with Glock 19s strapped on their drop-leg holsters. Needless to say, she got out pretty quick. Actually, now that I think about it, nobody got in our way. I felt like Moses, parting the mobs of angry nigresses, rednecks, etcetra. I was wearing all black attire, shirt tucked in and all like most SWAT do, so I'm pretty sure even the cops thought I was a cop. Oh, and ammo was buy 1 box get 1 box half off at Dick's, so uhhh.. Well.. There isn't any 7.62x39mm or .270 left.. If only they had 7.62x54r..

I want an M44 or type 53 so bad. Going hunting at some gun shops tomorrow to see if they have one.
I don't think there is any 6 month wait, just how long the paperwork takes to get through
Hoping this is true. Buddy has an AAC .45 can for sale and wants to get rid of it, so I'm considering getting it depending on what the procedures are
Hoping this is true. During the turnaround period (which seems to be 6-8 months right now), your friend can keep ownership of the suppressor. If the government deems you fit to own a can, they will send you a stamp. Upon receipt, you can legally take the device off your friends hands. [editline]23rd November 2012[/editline] If doing it as an individual, you will need to have an agent of the law (county sheriff, district attorney, judge) sign a document saying they do not believe you are a danger to anyone else (the ATF is thinking about getting rid of this) and a pair of FBI fingerprint cards. If doing as a trust, you can skip both of these, but the can has to be in your trust's name.
I like the idea of an NFA trust. Any opinions on them?
People have made them with Quicken Willmaker, but a couple years ago there were reports the ATF was cracking down on them. Most suggest going to a lawyer and having them write one up for a few hundred bucks. Sucks, because it nearly doubles the cost of your suppressor, but it's also a one time thing that you can edit later on to add more items if you want. Also supposedly faster turn around times on your paperwork from the feds.
Can they ever crack down on them and take what you register in the trust?
I don't know what will happen in that case. It's possible they would just grandfather them in, as that would be a helluva lot of work for them, and an incomprehensible influx of both applications for already existing items, and complaints.
Was reading the wikipedia article for the M1903 and I read there was an experimental bullpup version. :v:
