So it's decided I'm going as a WW2 era Soviet GI for Halloween... Just need me a period pin for my hat. Figure you fine gents could point me in the right direction.
M1897? Auto 5? If neither of those two, don't bother :v: Whoever rated me dumb, this was, in fact, a joke
my budget is 300 probably getting a sxs shop smart, shop s-mart
Soldiers threw them away when issued them.
Ironically, a transferable, well maintained one will set you back around 7000$ nowadays.
my budget is 300 probably getting a sxs shop smart, shop s-mart
A sxs for $300? Where?
A sxs for $300? Where?
used rack at the funshop
Personally, I'd be very careful with a $300 sxs. Good sxs' don't come cheap, and the cheap ones are usually p. bad
That is smexy. Also, for the guys who keep talking about buying handguns from private persons when you aren't old enough to buy it from a shop. Is there some kind of law or loophole that specifically states that you can't buy from a shop, but can buy privately when you are under 21? Because that sounds quite a bit silly (the law I mean).
Hi welcome to the US land of silly gun laws galore. Yeah federal law states that a licensed gun dealer cannot sell a handgun to anyone under 21 however many states allow you to own a handgun at 18. So if your 18 and want a handgun you can A.Do a private party sale at a gun show or from an individual B. inherit/get gifted one from a relative or friend or C. BIG NO NO enlist the help of a person over 21 who will buy the handgun from a store with the intent of selling it to you this is known as a straw purchase and is highly illegal hence BIG NO NO
Provided you can find one, look into a Stevens 87 or a Savage Model 6. They're a .22 rifle manufactured between the 1930s-1970s that was a tube fed .22lr with the ability to switch between straight pull bolt action and semi auto. I picked mine up with a scope built in the late 40's less than what I paid for my 91/30.
Friend of mine found on in his grandfathers shed while cleaning it out.
In Michigan it's a pain in the ass though, because here if you don't have a CPL, you have to go to a police station for your city and fill out a pistol purchase permit, which is only good for 10 days before you have to get another one.
Bought a new stock, but I took it out shooting and I'm having some cycling issues. I've read some stuff online, and it may be the ammo I was using, but we'll see. Suggestions?
I had the same configuration. Get that sucker converted. Try different ammo, I had to play around with mine to see what it liked.
Friend of mine found on in his grandfathers shed while cleaning it out.
The one I have is in surprising condition considering the price. The original bluing is still there, the only real wear I do see is some very minor corroding of the bluing underneath the tube which isn't noticeable unless you shine a light at it. It's a really fun rifle, the semi auto action on it is unique and could be considered ahead of its time.
$300 for a sxs leads me to think its an old one with a damascus twist/pitting/problems and only intended for collectors or display.

Well fuck, I finally find the rifle that I want and I won't get paid until the offer on purchasing it expires and someone else will most likely grab it. I feel like I'm being teased right now.
I know that feel all too well.
My fancy layout. I miss shooting, can't ever go out and shoot now that im in the Army.
For a split moment I didn't even realize that was a nugget. I'd be lying if I said that wasn't a damn respectable modification of it, though.
2 ARs in near identical configurations?
I had the same configuration. Get that sucker converted. Try different ammo, I had to play around with mine to see what it liked.
Any suggestions on the conversion?
Hey, do you guys know anything about the cartridge-based paintball systems? Like, say, if I own a 9mm handgun. I can load these paintball milsim rounds into my gun and fire them at people through a live firearm and still have it operate at the same fps as a high-pressured paintball gun.
No. Milsim replaces the upper assembly. Slide, barrel, mag. [editline]30th September 2012[/editline] Besides, milsim is so much more expensive and harder to come by then just getting a paintball or airsoft gun.

But like Ridge said, the kit that allows you to fire those still replaces the slide, barrel and mag.
simunition isn't sold to civilians.
I might need to urge my Dad to buy a nice pump action 12ga, my mother is moving out and I'm gonna be in my house, alone from 3 PM to 9 PM I only own a Nugget and .22lr target pistol Should I try and find a cheap Moss 500? Pre-2007 Rem. 870? Suggestions, please.
If I was billionaire, I'd buy a couple of tanks, make some milsim shells, get friends together and have the most awesome paintball fight ever
2 ARs in near identical configurations?
Different barrel lengths and different optics
Different barrel lengths and different optics
But why not just 2 different uppers?
2 ARs in near identical configurations?
The bottom AR is chambered in 5.45 for cheap mil surplus shooting. The differences being... Top is a 5.56.mid length with a TA-33, light, compensator, miad pistol grip, and shaved down FSB.
If I was billionaire, I'd buy a couple of tanks, make some milsim shells, get friends together and have the most awesome paintball fight ever
See, that's what I'd want to do. But with WWI fighters :v: [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] Sopwoth Camels!
