5.45x39 is cheap as fuark. Found 1080 rounds for like 120 bucks.
Since one of my family members already owns a full size 9mm (a Ruger P95) I have decided my first handgun is going to be a T/C Contender in 22lr to start out with.
I thought about getting one in .45-70 but then realized that's stupid and I like my wrists to not be broken
I know that feel.

Really old pic, I have a few more guns now but you get the idea. It's not as bad anymore. Now I store like half of them, and the rest take up my room :v:

That must be his reasoning.
I really need a good small safe, maybe to put ten long guns in... I've got the fuckers piled all over my room :suicide:
if I had guns that expensive I'd put them in a safe. those 5 alone are worth close to $14000
Don't they have some gay law where you must lock up seperate ammo and guns? That's lame

Good, now you can get a new one. You're welcome :)
Yeah, that dude seems to have a thing for Belgian guns...
PS90, two FS2000s, a SCAR and some AR-15...
Well I bought an M1 Carbine today. It's Johnson made and in New Jersey
Traded my RPK for it and got one 15 round and $50. I know it wasn't the greatest deal but I'm happy enough with it. What do you guys say?
[editline]24th November 2012[/editline]
Ridge tell me I did good :(
Iver Johnsons are the best commercial ones. They only way you could have done better was to get a USGI, so I'd say you did well. Idk how much your RPK was worth though

I see you and I have similar interests. I have 6(7) of the same guns as you. (except my Garand went kablooie :C) Is that a Swede Mauser top left?
Don't they have some gay law where you must lock up seperate ammo and guns? That's lame
Guns and ammo must be locked into separate cabinets, the cabinet must be made of steel if you're holding category D, H or R weapons, and the cabinet must be bolted to the floor or frame of a building if it's holding those guns or weighs less than 150kg
It also has to be locked at all times unless you're removing a gun for a legitimate purpose

I'm sorry for your loss. Those pictures you posted of it made me want to never fire my Garand again. Maybe sit in a corner with it, whispering softly to it and cleaning it religiously.
That's an M1895 Steyr Mannlicher. 1938 carbine cut down I believe. The rifles were used by the Austro-Hungarians in WW1, then were reissued to the Hungarian forces, many Austrian resistance forces as well as the German police who patrolled Austria. Pretty neat gun, uses en bloc clips and fires this bigass 8x56r round that allows the gun to double as a flamethrower. Got it for $95 when they were still cheap :v:, dunno if they still are.
MugofDoom you have a C96?

Oh nice those are real neat. I hear that 8x56r is really stout stuff though

Thats ridiculous, even worse then Canadian gun law.
MugofDoom you have a C96?
Had. It never functioned so I traded it in for a Luger that does function. One of these days I'll get another one though.
I had a neat picture of it a while ago, but I can't seem to find it. C96's are photogenic as all hell.
Oh nice those are real neat. I hear that 8x56r is really stout stuff though
Yeah it beats the hell out of my shoulder and my wallet. I don't fire it often even though it's like an M44 on steroids because it's over $1 a round and I only have 65 rounds saved back. Though I hear Hornady or some similar company is making commercial ammunition for it.
My local shop has a C96 w/ shoulderstock/holster. The catch is that it needs a new extractor
My local shop has a C96 w/ shoulderstock/holster. The catch is that it needs a new extractor
Psh.
If you can get a decent price on it and the bore's okay then go for it. Extractors are easy to come by.
