Seems like unneeded risk to be honest, the chance of somebody robbing your house is the same as a lightning strike if you lock your doors when not around.
Why would you keep your guns loaded.
what good is an unloaded gun? I don't have children to worry about, and the chambers are empty so an accidental discharge isn't an issue

Right, because locked doors stop everyone. Ever heard of the police? all they use is a sledge hammer.
Even in Australia, something like 2% of all houses are broken into each year, much more common than a lightning strike

Really? Because burglers up here usually have the common courtesy to knock before they enter.
If I'm not around I'd rather my guns not be stolen loaded..
Anyone know where I can order a K31? Preferably two?
Since one of my family members already owns a full size 9mm (a Ruger P95) I have decided my first handgun is going to be a T/C Contender in 22lr to start out with.
Better watch out, I've heard that in states those barrels multiply pretty easily, the next thing you know, you suddenly have 14 of them. It's known as Contenderphilia.
Seeing as Laserguided decided to complain on my wall and it seems I can't respond to it
The reason I rated you dumb (hardly a spam) is because what you said was dumb. That's how it work here, if you don't like it, leave
I keep all my guns disassembled and ammo and magazines seperate
I'm basically ready to go

I just took the rifle out to clean it.
It's a frankengun, reciever's from 1941, the stock from 1944, and the front furniture is a different color.
Shoots like a dream though, so I don't mind.

But is it a No.1 MkIII* or a No.4?

Thanks for the link but they're out of stock :\
Seems like unneeded risk to be honest, the chance of somebody robbing your house is the same as a lightning strike if you lock your doors when not around.
That varies extremely based on where you live.
My neighborhood was pretty nice several years ago. Nowadays there are a few questionable occupants around, and the police know the street pretty well.
I've actually had to use a rifle to defend my neighbors until the police arrived some 15 minutes after I dialed 911 and told them about the group of people tearing apart my neighbor's house at 1am with sledge hammers and fire axes.
I don't keep all my guns loaded all the time, but I keep a pistol loaded in my bedside table and a rifle with a magazine ready nearby.

if he doesn't keep one in the chamber, the chance of his house is almost nil, and he doesn't have other people or children to worry about, why is it a risk?
I don't keep any of my rifles loaded, but I have 2 carbine mags loaded with JSPs that I keep in my bedside table and the carbine right next to me against the wall
I keep 4 in my mosin
I keep 2 mags of .22 long rifled baby killers for my ruger mk3 in my desk
Has anyone used Ballistol?
How is it? Does it work well?
Never used it but have always wanted too. I've heard that it's good stuff, but the mere fact I can't get it anywhere keeps me from trying it out.
I need help finding a Lee Enfield online. Anyone know where I can find one? My google-fu has failed me.
Hello yes Enfields you say? What kind, Make, year, ect.?
Hello yes Enfields you say? What kind, Make, year, ect.?
Pardon me, I suppose I should have specified. I'm looking for a No.1 MkIII. I'd prefer Australian or British but I can settle for an Ishapore. Year is not as important as manufacturer. Is there any advantage to a .308 Enfield? Or is it just as costly as a .303 to shoot? I've had a .303 before so I know that it isn't the cheapest but I've never owned or bought .308 before.
I would strongly recommend against the .308 #2A. They are all Indian aside from the L42 Sniper Rifles and the workmanship on those are really subpar. And .308 is just as expensive as .303 afaik
Okay, well do you know of places I can find a no.1MkIII online?
Your best bet for an absolute top quality rifle are the BSA Commercial rifles from the interwar years.
In any even I recommend ordering from BDL Ltd. Top notch guy and quality service and rifles

Thank you very much. This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for.

I always imagined that if one day I should live in 'Merica, I'd have a loaded shotgun attached to the bottom of my desk, like in the movies. :v:

Probably a shitty idea for reasons I haven't taken into my calculations, but I find the idea cool.
At my job the bar still has the hooks underneath where the bartenders would hang a shotgun
the bar I usually go to still has the shotgun
