AMT is out of business. From what ive heard there relatively cheap in both meanings of the word
don't know where you heard that, they're pretty expensive. the automag III I'm looking at buying costs nearly a grand
I think he means in terms of quality. I know they have been out of business, but I'm wondering about quality.
The price is midrange, relative to Colt 1911s. The quality is midrange-high.
I think he means in terms of quality. I know they have been out of business, but I'm wondering about quality.
the quality is fine. they're not quite match grade but they're built strong enough to make up for it. most of the Automag series is probably more at home as a hunter's or silhouette shooter's gun than as a combat firearm, and the hardballers and related guns easily fit into the same role as any 1911 on the market.
After doing some searching, I came across a thread on Ron Paul's Forum discussing how easy it is to produce homemade firearms, and then came over an article about how in Australia, some metal-worker made guns like this: For gangs in Sydney. Article for anyone who is interested And that thread I was talking about. So much for gun control.
that's a pretty cool looking gun
Nothing beats Chechen home made guns. I'm not sure what label is more fitting for the Chechens and Libyans now... Orks or Garry's Modders? They somehow make things work when those things should probably explode in their face.
Am I the only one who thinks these look ridiculously stupid?
I fucking love longslides. Mmm.
I think that the Automag in black looks awesome. I'm not that much of a fan of the nickle though.
I want a Colt 1900 so bad.
Man, are people in gunstores usually so unfriendly? I walk into the store and right off the bat not so much as a hello or even a glance up. Grumpy clerks when I ask if they have any spam cans, and then suspicious looks and irritated replies whenever I asked them a question about a rifle or any of the accessories they had in the store. I mean, I'm hardly suspicious in the slightest.
Yeah, I always leave the gun store feeling like a dumbass for asking any question.
The 45. longslide with laser sighting.
I hear the same things about gun stores up here from people who come in to my store. Thankfully, my store isn't like other stores, we aren't suspicious assholes to customers.
The 45. longslide with laser sighting.
Are we talking about modern laser sighting? Or the lasersighting that you had to have a carbattery to power?

Nice place to spend a Saturday... did I mention he is hardly ever open! Still nice even if I never buy there.

The Sten for example had an all 1018 steel receiver with a few parts made of alloy steel for wear resistance, there's a PDF out there with blueprints detailing which parts need to be made of what.

No I mean the actual WWII Sten MkII. There's an M1919, MP40, MG42, Ma Deuce, PPSh and Liberator blueprint out there too.

I love those western-styled revolvers that you see people have in a holster on horseback. like in those old western movies.
Here's the Sten blueprint I was talking about: http://www.prexis.com/sten/STEN%20BLUEPRINTS.pdf
Yeah... I'm gonna have to bookmark that. You got anymore?
Been looking for the PPSh but it's either hidden or extinct, I may still have it and all the others backed up somewhere, but I think I threw em all out in despair. Actually there's a whole bunch at the bottom of this page: http://biggerhammer.net/manuals/
speaking of ppsh's i would love one of those .22 ones they're like $250 and 71 rounds of .22? awesome
