Started my new job today, one of the training videos had a picture of a PPSh plastered on there as a visual aid when referring to Al Capone and his money laundering / tax evasion (I work at a bank).
Had to raise an eyebrow at that one.

Now I don't exactly look 60, but I certainly don't look like a little kid. At the time I had a beard down to my chest, so I have no idea what the guy was thinking when he said that.
I made what I think was an obvious choice by showing him my roll of $100 bills and telling him to get fucked
It was near the end of the last day of the show too, so I made sure he never sold that $3,000 gun

How do you guys store your guns?
I'm thinking about getting a gun cabinet. A cabinet custom made for gun storage could be expensive though, so I might just install hooks in a regular cabinet and hang the rifle up by sling.
I wonder if they make drawers four feet wide. I could put some foam padding in them, keep the rifle in the top drawer, and use the bottom ones for ammo storage. Or maybe a storage bench where the seat lifts up like a lid.

Big ass gun safe, overflow (non firing/relic) on a gun rack, with two long-rifles up in the rafters in cases (no room in safe) and a .22 rifle in the trailer for dicking around in the desert on trips.

Wow that sucks you guys all have shitty people at your gun stores/shows. My local shop has really nice, helpful people and for the most part the people at the shows are very friendly.
I keep my airshit in my sister's bed and my rifle in a case in the closet.

it's rare that I come across dickheads like that guy, I'm enough of a regular at gun shows and stores that I've developed a reputation as being pretty hotheaded when it comes to poor service.

Selling guns in my country is so hard (because of the excessive regulation, high prices and the tiny market) that in most gun shops they'll treat you just fine.
When you get that few clients you really can't afford losing them over poor treatment.

my guns are just laying around my room, my ammo is stored in a wood treasure chest my grandfather gave me several years ago.
One of those big gun safes for most of my guns, a couple of muzzle loaders and shotguns in an older wooden case.
Most are in one of our two gunsafes. My M14 is occupying my office chair with loaded magazine sitting in my desk drawer, just in case.
Damn, I want this stock for the 10/22 so badly, but manufacturer says they're out of stock. I think it would look so sexy blending the wood with an AR 15 vertical grip and stock (A2 of course).
