I wonder how much all those .303 must have cost.
Unless you reloaded them.
Either way I wish I had that many rounds for my Mk1.
Shooting with the bayonet out?
Gun was shooting a tad high, so I figured I'd try putting the bayonet out since mosins are supposedly sighted in with their bayonets on.
I went to a new little gun shop that opened up near me.
It opened in an older brick building, a real mom-and-pop place. Friendly folks at the counter, lots of variety on the racks and showcase.
Tons of ammo and accessories too, so I decided to take a look at the guns for sale.
Police trade-in Glock 19: $660
Police trade-in S&W model 10: $450
Stock Mossberg 500: $890
Fuck

WHAT
Oh, and post WWII Mosin Nagants: $290
Why are all the cool places so freakishly expensive?
its that damned obongo and his gun taxes
WHAT
Basically my reaction. I can't figure out why it was so damn expensive
Oh, and post WWII Mosin Nagants: $290

Pretty much the same at my local gun store... nice guy, cool shit, lots of accessories and ammo, but fucking stupid prices. $260 for a Nagant... that said he is the only shop in the entire County so, fuck me.

Well the bandolier is all Greek surplus from the 80s (really good stuff) and cost me $1/round, the other ~250 rounds are mixed British and FN surplus which I got a super deal on for $0.25/round.
You know what makes no sense? Because those are all "replica firearms" they're all banned in Canada. For no good fucking reason. They banned fucking replica firearms.
okay..thats just fucking paranoid

When it comes to replica's it is somewhat iffy. Airsoft weapons that look like real firearms are technically banned but no one enforces it.
I'm thinking of selling my P228. It's a fantastic gun, but it's heavy for conceal carry. Maybe I'll clean it tonight and take it to the show tomorrow and see if anybody makes an offer I like.
I'm thinking M&P 9c to replace it. Maybe even go back to a Glock 19.

CBSA lets them in, though usually only if they're clear plastic. Most, if not all, of the metal or opaque plastic ones get banned and confiscated.
I just find it colossally stupid that they banned a gun that is DESIGNED NOT TO WORK! I mean, what the fuck? But a deactivated one is just fine, for some stupid reason.
Do the replicas fire?

M&P's are nice, local State Cops carry 'em in .45... I know you're a guru of the guns but, if you've never held a Springfield XDM (Which I assume you have in which case ignore this post) I'd suggest givin it a look, feels like a 1911 and with it's 19rnd of 9mm per mag, it's full o' fun. That said you've probably already been down that rabbit hole.

That's funny actually, I was able to buy a $60 airsoft pistol (Full metal) off of another person on FP who lived in the US and it took quite a while but it arrived (After it sat at the border for around a month, It arrived 3 days after I sent a polite email to CBSA asking about it.)
might swing by a gun show tomorrow in hopes of getting some more .30, a sling and some more mags
oh and a assload of 7.62x39 hopefully
Gun show in Valdosta the 8th, and another in Tallahassee the 9th, gunshow weekends woo!

arizona? i'll be at the crossroads of the westaboo
For you anti stopping power people...

but humans aren't rigid bodied, regardless of the "stopping power" it'll still just pass through
what really matters is the area of disruption, where the meaty bits implode and liquify
What makes the difference is the stretch cavity.
[editline]1st December 2012[/editline]
Bigger the area liquified by the shock wave, more likely the target will go down

Hence why I said most, I've seen full metal airsoft and BB/pellet pistols, but they're usually a "unique" design, not a copy of anything else, therefore not a "replica" in a sense.
Might be getting a Gew 88/05 or a Finn M39 for Christmas C:
trunk I'm actually going to be at that tallahassee gun show its like 10 min from my dorm lol
I'll be the white guy with the half life hat
