Well, that explains one half of it!

Because when you're used to dealing with Arab oil magnates I suppose a "little kid" asking questions can get annoying.

That makes sense too, I suppose. Thanks for rationalizing it!
Wait, shit, so they weren't messing with me?
$20,000 USD? For a goddamn miniature firearm that doesn't even fire? I mean, WHAT?!
They do fire. That's part of what makes them so collectable. Of course no one makes ammunition for them and they're never tested for functionality due to this, but they're built exactly to spec so there's no reason to believe they wouldn't work with the appropriately scaled ammunition.
That and I believe a lot of them are really old. I'm not sure if they make all of them or if it's a collection, but from what I've gathered on the website, some of them were given as gifts to kings and whatnot, and thus have a lot of history behind them.
You can't expect someone to scale down a full rifle to 1:2 or smaller, keeping every single detail down to the rifling and making sure that every function of the larger gun is replicated in the miniature and then have it only cost as much as the full-sized rifle because "Derp but it uses less materials why should it cost more?".

Just read through the rest of the replies to the whole miniature thing.
Wooow you guys don't know anything about this field of collecting. I seriously hope you guys didn't bombard him with emails demanding why they're so expensive because that's just a douche move.
I've heard that WD40 is a bad idea and I dunno about Liquid Wrench since it's a penetrating oil, not a cleaning oil. Frankly I'm not sure what to recommend.
Try kerosene and then lube up the moving bits with 3-in-1

Dude, my granddad cleaned his rifles with kerosene... back in 1935.
Really? there's nothing else i could use?.

My grandad used old cut-up t-shirts to clean his M1 in the pacific. If it works then it can work now.

Well you could take a page out of the Mujaheddin field guide and run a rag covered in motor oil down the barrel and through the action...

it worked for him, what's stopping it from working for you?
it worked for him, what's stopping it from working for you?
I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm saying that there's probably a better product nowadays than kerosene.
Whatever, if nothing else will do I suppose I'll just stick to the old ways. Thanks

If you can't get something like hoppes or rem oil cleaner, just use kerosene and an old t-shirt.

We didn't, don't worry :v:
WD-40 only removes water from the surface. It's not a lubricant or cleaner.
I'm surprised you can't buy something like Breakfree or Hoppes online and have it shipped to you.

SIG is sold. I'm sure I'll regret it.

It can lubricate in a pinch. It does leave behind a light coat of oil, but it's not much. It's mostly just good for cleaning stuff off or from in the gun like caked on dirt, loose rust and whatnot. It's pretty useful for loosening up old rusted guns too.
That and it's pretty sweet at destabilizing water and shit.
just realized the people who make the miniature firearms are the same people who make the double 1911 and the striker fired pistol we talked about a few pages ago.

Honestly I'd buy the shit out of one of those in 1:1 scale if they were cheaper.
I just... what?
Why would you not put a proper buttstock on that, instead of frankensteining it like that? Also, wouldn't the front grip make racking it a bit... awkward?
I mean, it is a shotgun, right? I can hardly tell :v:
My dad has one. Pretty cool for something that's not semi-auto, though his isn't as tacticool as that
hey australians, how upset does it make you when you see shit like this knowing theres no licensing at all required

im sorry ive been on a cokeman binge and i looked up that remington 7615 and australia's gun laws
So I was looking at Rossis Curcuit judge and saw that it fired .410 shotgun and 45 colt without changing the barrel. After a little more researching it seems that it can come either smooth bore or "rifled barrel shotgun". If it was rifled, wouldn't the load from the shotgun screw up the rifling and or shed into the grooves?

It pisses me off a lot
Good news though, we've discovered that suppressors are defined as "A detachable device used to blah blah blah.."
So we're thinking we might be able to get away with integrated suppressors, need a good lawyer though

Shot is made from soft lead. Rifling is made form hardened steel. There is a barrier of soft plastic between the two. What do you think?

People who buy any variant of the Judge aren't looking for accuracy, or anything more than a range toy anyways.

Seeing as it never contacts the wall of the barrel has there is a wad in the way, no

Well, I am looking for accuracy. Should I not be looking at this?
