I'm getting some fat paychecks this coming week, and I'm looking for something fun (that a 19yr old can buy, fuck the 21 handgun law).
Any suggestions? Looking at the 0-400 range :v:
you American? You can still buy handguns through private sales legally
Because every semi-auto centre-fire rifle must be pined to 5, with few exceptions, and unfortunately the PPSh is not one of those exceptions. Therefore, 5/71 pinned drums, 5/35 pinned sticks.
Can't you, say... unpin them? that's what i'd do.
Can't you, say... unpin them? that's what i'd do.
And have the range call the cops on you and get sent to jail? As much as I'd love to be able to load up those 71 rounds, I'd prefer to be able to load up 5 rounds multiple times on multiple occasions.

Buy a few of them and unpin maybe two and save them for if shtf... or special occasions in the wilderness.

It's like what I have to do if I want an FAL or AK47, I have to buy a parts kit plus an 80% receiver and keep it parted out, until I move to a free state.
I'd keep at least 2 drums unpinned, loaded and buried in an airtight container
wait mug you have a cetme? how is it?
It's pretty awesome. It was my first build and it came out surprisingly well without much effort. For a 7.62 NATO rifle it doesn't really have much recoil, and it's pretty lightweight for such a large rifle. And I just fucking love a gun where it's generally accepted to slap the cocking handle to charge it.
Built it on a Century Arms cast stainless steel receiver. Don't buy those by the way, unless you can't get anything else. Get a stamped receiver. They work just fine and dandy but they're so heavy compared to the stamped ones, and you have to really polish the inside to get the action working smoothly.
I keep a Mossberg 702, 5 loaded mags, and 1000 loose rounds buried in the back yard just in case. The whole investment on that was $170, you almost can't afford not to do it. And it all fits in a pvc tube 6 inches wide and 3 feet long, with plenty of room to spare
now i love being prepared but isnt that even a tad overkill?

oh you built it? ive always heard using part kits make the gun tons cheaper and would love to give it a try one day

Brother in law has a mossberg 702, and it jams like CRAZY. Literally every other bullet causes it to jam, double feeding or failing to eject. He might have just gotten a set of bad mags or a faulty rifle, but from what I've seen I wouldn't trust my life to it.

Yeah it only cost around $450 to build it, and I built it with a really nice 18" stainless steel PTR-91 barrel.
It's totally worth doing if you have access to a hydraulic press, a welder and a drill press and obviously can get the parts kits. There's some nice C-53 (5.56 CETME) kits going around these days I believe.
oh well then i live in a dorm, i guess this route isnt for me yet lol
but shit, $450? thats so fucking cheap

he's probably using the wrong ammo. I have another 702 that I've been using for about 10 years and remington just plain won't run through it. it likes federal bulk the best in my experience. never had double feeding so it might be his mags too, but remington refuses to eject
Just bought this for $400. Loaded the mag, chambered a round, and reached for the decocker :(

oh god you're going to have dreams about the sig now.

I owned an old West German police P6 a few years ago. While I owned it, I had a dream where I had to fire on several attackers, and it had no effect on them. They just shrugged it off and kept coming at me. It terrified me. I lost all faith in the gun. Sold it a short while later. Never had anything like that with any other gun I owned, even ones in the same caliber.

That's just sad, not to mention weird. I love SIGs
Semi-auto PPSh-41 Sub-machine gun, with 5/71 pinned drum mag, and 18.5" barrel to make it non-restricted
And lastly, the Norinco T97, a gun they tried to ban once, and is now saying "fuck you" to the RCMP by coming back, a .223 calibre bullpup for $1000.
Only thing I'd want is the Type 97 since its actually affordable and isn't butchered and raped.
[editline]6th December 2012[/editline]
I just sadly don't see the point in a semi auto smg, especially in Canada with our so so special mag laws.

High Point .45 carbine
High Point .45 carbine
Hi-point carbines are pretty decently made PCCs. Sure, they're ugly, bulky as all hell, and don't have really hi-capacity mags available. But they're tough, cheap, and come with that wonderful Hi-point no questions asked warranty. They also come with more features than a stock Sub2000, which lacks attachment rails. (which is hardly an issue considering that many Sub2000's cease to exist in the first place.)

I had the same dream once. This guy was stalking me around my house, running around the houses near me, weaving in and out through trees in the valleys above me. And I fired at him, damn near emptied every gun I had, but none of the shots landed. Even when he was a few feet away from me, not a single shot hit where I aimed. Last thing I remember I was down to my last en bloc clip on my Garand, praying these last few shots would hit him, as he slowly nonchalantly strode up to me, placed his hand on the barrel, and I woke up.
It's a pretty common dream. It has something to do with feelings of inadequacy. Same kind of thing as the "there's something terrible chasing me but I can't seem to run" dreams, just for people who like guns :v:

Course then there's those times when you're having a terrible nightmare which suddenly turns lucid. Because then, Hail to the King baby.
H&R Handi Rifle, in .12 gauge. Guns are cheap, ammo, for 12 guage, is cheap. And barrels are interchangeable so you can get a 45-70 barrel or a .500 SW or .45lc/.410 pr any other barrel they make... that's what I'd get.
Holdup, I don't know about the Handi-Rifle SPECIFICALLY, but all HR/NEF firearms barrels will interchange, HOWEVER, only the Rifle Receivers are heat treated...
Be careful.

maybe tumblr has a filesize limit or something?
Would've been funny if the gun went off after he pulled the card out. The thing was pointing right at his face.
God damn kid's shows.
