Ugh, why does it seems that every gun forum is filled with brain dead conservatives. I'd like to think that there are plenty of liberally minded shooters and that it's just conservatives being very loud that makes it look like every forum is filled with conservatives, but I'm having my doubts now... Maybe as the younger generation gets into shooting all these people will die off

Maybe my views will swing back and forth again I don't know.

outlaw fudds but real talk, I can't fucking stand fudds and they are all what is wrong with the shooting community
outlaw fudds but real talk, I can't fucking stand fudds and they are all what is wrong with the shooting community
They make sane shooters look bad, and make people on the left think "hurr, every shooter is a conservative, fuck em"
Just bought this for $400.
Responding to criticism that Costas didn't blame Belcher for the murder of his girlfriend: "No one is saying that Belcher is not responsible. However, the ready easy availability of guns makes mayhem easier. The easy availability of guns makes this sort of thing far more likely to occur." Meanwhile Fox's Whitlock told Roland Martin of Roland Martin Reports that he hadn't gone far enough in his original commentary. He said that he took advantage of writing about gun violence in his column because so many people ignore the real world but they do pay attention to sports. "I believe the NRA is the new KKK," Whitlock said. "And that the arming of so many black youths, and loading up our community with drugs, and then just having an open shooting gallery, is the work of people that obviously don’t have our best interests."
NBC ...Granted Fox news, and Costas, but seriously? The fuck.
outlaw fudds but real talk, I can't fucking stand fudds and they are all what is wrong with the shooting community
What exactly is your definition of a "fudd"?
A fudd is someone who has no problem throwing black rifle owners under the bus, as long as he gets to keep his huntin rahffle
A fudd is someone who has no problem throwing black rifle owners under the bus, as long as he gets to keep his huntin rahffle
I wouldn't say just a hunting rifle.. Any shooter who will throw another under a bus to protect his chosen shooting discipline Australia is full of them [editline]7th December 2012[/editline]
you won't regret it. stick in a match trigger and a glock will be the nicest thing you'll ever shoot unless you like to shoot unjacketed bullets
Everyone at my club runs jacketed bullets through their Glocks without an issues...
A fudd is someone who has no problem throwing black rifle owners under the bus, as long as he gets to keep his huntin rahffle
The problem with fudds is they don't realize that to the gun grabbers, their hunting rifle is a "high-powered sniper rifle" if it has a scope on it, and since most fudds either never learned to use iron sights or are old and have bad vision, most of their rifles do.

Though I wouldn't go about shouting that here, someone might feel in a banning mood
The world's most popular bolt action hunting rifle; the Remington 700, has been the preferred sniper rifle of the military and police departments for ages.
A fudd is someone who has no problem throwing black rifle owners under the bus, as long as he gets to keep his huntin rahffle
"Alls anywuns needs is a shawtgaun and a DURRRR Riful!"
The world's most popular bolt action hunting rifle; the Remington 700, has been the preferred sniper rifle of the military and police departments for ages.
Speaking of, we're still looking for a scope. Any good ones that are in the $750-1500 range?
Speaking of, we're still looking for a scope. Any good ones that are in the $750-1500 range?
Oh I'm sure a great scope can be had in that price range. I just don't know any brands since I'm used to the average $100 ones you get from sporting goods stores.
The world's most popular bolt action hunting rifle; the Remington 700, has been the preferred sniper rifle of the military and police departments for ages.
What about Mosin? It popular for hunting krauts and ivans.
Speaking of, we're still looking for a scope. Any good ones that are in the $750-1500 range?
Anything from Zeiss, a low-end Swarovski may be in that range too, a high-end Leupold or Nikon, Burris, or Vortex. Those are the ones I can think of right now. [editline]6th December 2012[/editline]
What about Mosin?
Silly capitalist, Vintovka Mosina was use by Ivan to hunt Kraut, not to hunt Ivan.
Well the Finns sure did kill a lot of Ivans with Mosins
Well the Finns sure did kill a lot of Ivans with Mosins
That my point. Very grateful comrade Felix.
Kapitalist Finnish mosin is bastard child, not true son of Sergei Mosina!
Well the Finns sure did kill a lot of Ivans with Mosins
Finland can try to lick balls of largest bear in Siberia, their blasphemy of Vintovka Mosina make Sergei Mosin rise from grave and bitch-slap president of Finland for disgrace.
Finnish use great mosin rifle bravely in glorious winter war. Soviet union win only through shame and cowardice of superior numbers
Finnish use great mosin rifle bravely in glorious winter war. Soviet union win only through shame and cowardice of superior numbers
Cowardice of superior numbers?! Numbers are only proof of superiority of Socialist society and people's willing to join the glorious Motherland!
What exactly is your definition of a "fudd"?
Well when I say fudd, I mean the people who are above the age of 50 and think if it doesn't have wood, can hold more than 5 rounds and wasn't built for hunting, it shouldn't exist. I usually use it for old men who really don't know guns though too Examples: the guys who get pissy at the range when I'm rapid firing and not taking 5 minutes to line up each boring shot, my friend asked an old guy at a gun show if he could check out his krag Jorgensen then said "you have to be 21, I don't want the cops coming". All those guys who are such condescending dicks at the gun shows and gun shops just because I'm 18 even though I know way more about the AK's they're selling then they do etc [editline]6th December 2012[/editline] Which is why I love cokeman because when he posts his indoors makarov videos and posts it on super serious gun forums and they flip out
Speaking of, we're still looking for a scope. Any good ones that are in the $750-1500 range?
For that price range, there are several: http://swfa.com/Leupold-45-14x40-Mark-4-LRT-30mm-Riflescope-P2549.aspx http://swfa.com/Bushnell-3-12x44-Elite-Tactical-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P48268.aspx http://swfa.com/Vortex-4-16x50-Viper-PST-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P44562.aspx If you don't mind a fixed power, this is a great one too: http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-10x42-Tactical-30mm-Riflescope-P50717.aspx All the scopes I linked are about the best choices available in that price range, performance and reliability wise. The Leupold has the best quality glass by far, but it has standard target knobs and a standard Mil-Dot reticle. The other scopes have tactical knobs, and different reticle options. I personally use the Leupold, but with a Duplex reticle instead of a Mil-Dot. The reticle was a personal choice because the rifle is mostly used for hunting. When I hunt I use a range finder, and I don't have to worry about holdovers that much, so the Duplex was the better choice for me.
Anything from Zeiss, a low-end Swarovski may be in that range too, a high-end Leupold or Nikon, Burris, or Vortex. Those are the ones I can think of right now.
For his price range, I would drop Zeiss and Swarovski. Both are about the best you can get as far as quality, but you pay for it. The scopes they offer in that price range are hunting scopes. The glass is great, but they are 1" tubes, which means less overall adjustments. In general, 1" tubes are always inferior. In the past, the US built all of their scopes on 1" tubes, and the Germans were building on 30MM tubes. It was found that the 30mm tubes were far superior in the amount of adjustments allowed, as well as light transmission. The only advantage a 1" tube would offer is compactness and weight, but with today's 1" scopes, you will almost never see this because of the materials used for manufacturing. Good quality 30mm tubes will be just as light, sometimes lighter than 1" tubes. He probably needs to stick with a 30mm tube. Zeiss 30mm scopes start at about $2800, and Swarovskis start at about $1800.
Also fudd guns bore the shit out of me too. I only buy military style guns
Kapitalist Finnish mosin is bastard child, not true son of Sergei Mosina!
What you mean Kapitalist? Finnish mosin is product of great socialism! Finnish mosin is captured Mosin from first great war over serbia.
