I'm from the UK so no miniguns or anything like you guys, here's my collection. If I could only have one weapon for any scenario it would be the throwing knife/knives. They are so fun, tactile, dangerous and useful with little or no chance of them breaking.

mini katanas :v:
Hell we ain't even allowed to have throwing knives in my state.
A high powered assault bow!? Are you planning to shoot up a university!?

I would but I broke my arrows for it :(
Did they break while you were pulling them out of the bodies of dead police officers and babies?
Are arquebus's legal in the UK.
I think it would be hilarious if a guy held up a store with a matchlock.

Anyone know a site to get good quality muskets from?
I'm looking for a Charleville or one of the many variants based off of it. I like having the ability to shoot just about anything, and not having to get percussion caps.
What kind of grenade is that by the way?
Well. Actually looking for this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musket_Model_1777

U BROKE MY AUTOMERGE NUUUUUUU.
Is militaryheritage a good site for muskets?
So I'm getting the opportunity to buy an M1 Carbine soon, and I want it for my WW2 reenacting kit. Is Does the barrel mounted bayonet lug come off? How easy are the adjustable sites to replace? Anything else I should know when trying to convert to WW2 spec?

The bayonet lug is part of the barrel band that holds the barrel in the stock and handguards. To replace it, you'd have to remove the front sight.
[editline]8th December 2012[/editline]
Honestly, if you are dead set on removing it (they were on guns that saw late war action in the Pacific), I'd probably just wrap the barrel electrical or duct tape and cut it off with a dremel.

You're a liar Ridge. We all know you'd never neuter an M1 Carbine like some barbarian.

I wouldn't. But if I would (hypothetically), that is how I would do it. ;)
Can someone get back to me on a good site to buy fireable flint lock muskets from?
http://www.trackofthewolf.com/
I'd assume it is legal to own matchlocks and other muzzleloaders in the UK seeing as reenactors commonly carry and fire them.

Who said anything about the UK? I'm on tour.
Umm, you did, 12 posts up.
Oh, I read you can own an "Antique firearm" (pre-1939) in the UK without any sort of license but cannot fire it.
I didn't mean I was in the UK. I was more or less joking about how the UK is a nanny state when it comes to dangerous things like firearms, and I was wondering if their laws covered something that far back.
went to the gat show today and bought a 1943 butt stock mag pouch for my carbine with another 15rd mag and 100 rounds of .30. and tonight i shall order a sling and another mag online!
why is .30 cal always from some spanish country
oh also tried going hog hunting with a friend at dusk tonight but the wildlife management area where we found online had all the roads into it chained off with private property posters everywhere? so that was a bummer. pretty gatastic day

dude theres dickloads of carbines. like i saw at least 10 and it was sooooo much better than south florida gun shows, i guess because were basically in georgia
ohhh oh i forgot to tell you guys, i found a izhevsk 1953 SKS that was seriously beat to hell and was marked on the receiver chinese sks yet had izhevsk marks all over it. what i made out of that was that it was a vietnam capture that had seen combat and was taken home by a US soldier and the crazy part? only $290. that shits cheaper than my yugo and worth way more, that lady had no idea what she had. i wanted to bring my yugo in and trade so badly but it was at home :(
wait i could just do that tomorrow
Not if I beat you to it :)
ill fight you in the parking lot
all yours bro, I ain't got the dosh to buy any new guns, and I ain't tradin an M1A for an SKS
lol im probs not even gonna get it. it'd be pretty badass to have a combat proven russian sks but its pretty beat up and my yugo is in near perfect condition so might be a bad idea
So I just found out that in California, it's legal to own hand grenades but not to use them.
