What's everyone's opinions on the Waffen Werks Bulgy 74s? Afaik they have chrome lined US barrels and aren't bad for the money. There's half a dozen of these down at my local gunstore for 600-700 bucks.
i hear they're really nice and either want one of them or an arsenal when i have my money to buy a 74
Hell we ain't even allowed to have throwing knives in my state.
Nah, we can own them in NY, we just cant legally use them on anyone
Same thing with throwing stars and ASPs
In Canada we can legally own throwing knives, but not throwing stars.

Just google "garand 458 win mag". The company that made them is out of business though, so you'll be looking at second hand. If you have the tools, or know a decent gunsmith, they could make one for you, all they would need to do is change the barrel and fiddle with the gas settings, 458 Win Mag is based on the 30-06 cartridge

A tad on the high side. Do they come with mags? The ones from Atlantic Firearms reportedly don't come with any magazines or cleaning kit.

I'd love to know the geniuses that come up with these great ideas.
In Chile the registration process for a single shot .22 is much, much harsher than for a KSG, a SPAS or any other high capacity, 12 gauge combat shotgun.

Not that I know of, no. They all varied in price, as well, even though they all appeared the same, besides the difference in stocks. Would this be because of the quality of the kits?

You countries and your registration.
In 40 states of the USA, you basically just go, I want that, hand them money, and come back the next day.

Our governments have taken pride in having a "strict gun control", yet there are two million guns in my country (one every ten people) and 70% of those are unregistered/unaccounted for.
Hell, i own my granddad's hunting shotgun without a single document. I'd happily register it, but the process is so damn long and complicated that there's simply no point.

Doubt it. You'd be best to ask the salesman what the difference is, if there is one.
Here in Australia, there are 2.5 million registered guns, yet import records say there should be anywhere between 4.5 and 6 million of them. So, where are they? Furthermore, how effective really are our gun laws if we have more unregistered than registered guns? And this is before you count guns smuggled into the country illegally

Gotta love living in a state with no waiting period C:
Tumblr has taught me that people don't know how to gun.

wait, 40 states have waiting periods? Really? I always assumed it that most didn't have any sort of waiting period, just backround checks.
EDIT:
Apparently theres only 10 or 11 states that have any sort of waiting period.

Before the death of the registry, there were 8 million registered guns in Canada. Estimates from import records during the period say there should have been between 8 and 16 million, and some estimates put the number of guns in the country at 27 million. There are 36 million people in the country. The registry was largely estimated to be 48% accurate at best. Now it's dead, but some idiots think they can bring it back, and that somehow it'll be more effective this time around, which is a crock of shit. Some others feel it violated women's rights to remove the registry, they're a bunch of straight-up dumbasses, but unfortunately the court has to deal with dumbassery in lawsuits as well.
I'm looking at moving to Vermont. From what I've gathered, there's no gun registration at all or permits required.

I hate all these morons who think throwing laws at things makes everything better.
I wonder how many guns there are in Canada seeing as you guys have the largest unsecured border in the world

Probably closer to the 27 million mark, most of them never registered and "illegal" because they're in the hands of a hunter or aged and inactive shooter who's owned them since the '70s and never got a license when they made it a criminal offence in 1995 to own a gun without one.

I suspect it's mostly the same in Australia. It wasn't until the 80s that most states had gun licences, and it wasn't until 1991 that Queensland and Tasmania has any guns laws at all. Before that you could own a genuine machine gun in those states

The Aussies better hope their PVC "irrigation" doesn't have any leaks in it.
Up here I'm sure people always keep checking on that one locked closet nobody's allowed into in the basement of their cottage 4 hours out of the city, who knows what's in there...
Some others feel it violated women's rights to remove the registry
This pisses me off. Yes, there was a tragedy involving a number of women at the hands of one man with a firearm. But that does not mean that women are the only potential targets. Nevermind that the kind of people who do that sort of thing aren't the kind of people that register their implements.

I've said this before:
Why do Australian pour motor oil on their gardens?
[sp]To stop their gun from rusting[/sp]
I think most would just be sitting in peoples attics. When I was younger, I heard a few stories of people finding guns hidden in their houses, someone at school told everyone in class when I was about 7 that a plumber had found a revolver in the attic of their house, thought it was a toy or something and accidentally shot it, putting a hole in the roof.
I have a story myself; my dad was digging a trench in the back yard so we could out in a water pipe, and we dug up 2 revolvers, looked like .22lr or something, anyway, they were completely wrecked and inoperable

Wait for a turn-in campaign, they give people cameras for old guns here every so often, trying to say they're "getting handguns off the streets." They usually get old rustbucket guns that don't, or barely, work. I'm waiting for one to try and get a camera out of my Arisaka, since it doesn't shoot straight.

This guy had a gun license, but the registry didn't exist at the time of the shooting, so when they try to claim he used a "registered" gun in the shooting they're lying, since it didn't exist.
Well. Actually looking for this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musket_Model_1777
Nah man, you want a 1728 or a 1746, those things a much better than the 1777 which is a needlessly heavy and bulky beast.

Also Military Heritage is terrible, their guns are of such poor fit and finish they mind as well be glorified kit guns. Same with Middlesex. Best to just wait for something on Track of the Wolf, those are all either hand made or made in a proper factory.
Might consider the Baker Rifle Track has up.

Heh, I saw a piece of shit, butchered Lee Enfield the other day for $25. If they had that here I so would have bought that then traded if for a camera
458 Win Mag is based on the 30-06 cartridge
no it's not, .458 Win Mag is based on .375 H&H. .458 has a different base diameter and is a belted cartridge so it's not just a matter of changing the barrel either. you'd have to change the bolt, the extractor, the gas system, the magazine, the barrel, and pretty much the whole receiver and stock
in all probability you're thinking of .458-06 which is a goofy obscure wildcat cartridge designed for big game hunting but wasn't very good at doing it so it really never caught on

Looked like they were using normal en bloc clips... I think the dimensions are close enough that they only need to rebarrel it, then re-machine the bolt face and extractor. Anyway, they were using stock receivers
.458 win mag is almost the same length as .30-06 so I could see using regular en bloc clips but they wouldn't work particularly well
