Ooh lets post about interesting gun stories, like how you came upon owning a certain gun. My dad owned a moving business in the 90's and got paid in guns a lot. He mostly got break barrel single-shot shotguns, so nothing too interesting. Another time he was fixing a buddies car that the guy just bought, and when looking under the seat he found a loaded RG .22 snub nose revolver. The guy didn't like guns and just gave it to my dad. On another note I might inherit 2 (thats right, two!) M1898 Krag rifles, some Remington 30-06 hunting rifle, a Remington 12 Gauge pump action shotgun, and another oddball bolt-action .410 gauge shotgun from my grandmother in a couple months. All rifles were bought by my grandfather in the 50's (not new either) so they have some interesting history to them for sure. Another neighbor down the street has a 1913 dated Colt 1911 that he might sell to me. It saw use during WW1 overseas, then in WW2, then it was carried by the original owner in a glove compartment in a pickup truck, then sold to my neighbor. Post your gun stories!
Always been interested in guns as far back as I can remember. My family never personally owned guns aside from my uncle and great-uncle. Finally last year for my birthday I asked for Nugget. Then this year I got a Stoeger SxS. Now, between me, my grandpa, my uncle, and my great-uncle, we have enough firepower to arm about 50ish people probably.
Can't wait till those AK 107s to come over 9mm carbine AK? Yes
We can't even shoot restricted firearms on our own land, we HAVE to shoot them at an approved range.
We have the same rule here, except where not a developed country so it's irrelevant what the law actually says. Of course, you can't shoot in the city, but go a few miles into the country side and you're free to do whatever you want.

semi automatic rifles are illegal but semi automatic shotguns aren't? and ammo presses? wat
semi automatic rifles are illegal but semi automatic shotguns aren't? and ammo presses? wat
Only people who want to make illegal babykilling rounds loaded with embedded cop-seeker microchips need ammo presses, obviously.
semi automatic rifles are illegal but semi automatic shotguns aren't? and ammo presses? wat
Such is life in the third world. [editline]14th December 2012[/editline]
Only people who want to make illegal babykilling rounds loaded with embedded cop-seeker microchips need ammo presses, obviously.
A few years ago, the press called the Walther G22 a "war rifle". That's not too far from what you're saying.
They recently banned the G22, or rather it's stock, due to its bullpup design, they insist that the stock is illegal, even though Walther makes it as a bullpup, because some other company made a stock for the gun that makes it not a bullpup. Even the anti-gun media thought it was retarded.
match-grade ammunition, really hot or really heavy loads, subsonics, etc.
Wouldn't bother with any of those in a mosin tbqh, for a PSL, SVD, or a vepr maybe.
Wouldn't bother with any of those in a mosin tbqh, for a PSL, SVD, or a vepr maybe.
I could see hot (correcting the round's abysmal range) or subsonics (reducing recoil) being nice in a mosin
Dumbass question, dumbass answer, what else can you expect from yahoo answers?
I dunno, those argument/confusion bait questions, and really clever/sarcastic answers that show up once in a blue moon kinda redeem the site.
Does anyone make a semi-auto MAC-11 or Uzi (full-size or mini/micro)? I really want an interesting range toy.
Check out Masterpiece Arms.
If you can, go looking through pawn shops and try find a pre 1994 (?) semi-auto Mac-10. Then you'll have the real open bolt version. Probably pick it up really cheaply too. They introduced laws making it illegal to manufacture open bolt guns because of how easy it was to convert to full-auto [editline]14th December 2012[/editline] Turns out it's pre 1984
1986
Cobray make a semi auto copy of the mac-11 if I recall correctly.
1986
No, that's when they banned making machine guns for private sales
Sitting here in school and the "gun kid" comes up behinds me and says "the fucks a mosin?" I miss my old school...
Sitting here in school and the "gun kid" comes up behinds me and says "the fucks a mosin?" I miss my old school...
that's a pretty dumb gun kid
Ooh lets post about interesting gun stories, like how you came upon owning a certain gun.
My Arisaka was brought back from Iwo Jima by my Grandfather who was a P61 radar spotter (The guy who watched the radar screen and guided the pilot towards a target he couldn't see), he met with a marine who was getting off the island with the rifle and a flag, traded some booze for the rifle and the flag (Booze and other goodies was rare for GIs, but guns and other souvenirs were plentiful). My 1911 was carried by my grandfather as well, I even have his aviator shoulder holster with the extra cartridge loops sewn to the strap, no room for a magazine pouch in the plane after all, get caught on things a lot easier than a shoulder holster. Also have a picture of him with the gun, his crew and the plane.
You mean the kid who plays CoD and therefore thinks he knows everything there is about guns?
Saw one of those at Cabelas once, was in their showroom with their fancy guns and one walks in and timidly picks up this AR-10 and an older employee walks up and asks him if he needs anything, kid responds "No, just some of these guns are on Call of Duty." Felt bad for the employee.
You and the employee should have sighed together.
Alright, so I need to figure out what 10mm ammo would be best for hogs, do I want a hollow point or a standard FMJ ball round? I'm assuming the ball round would be the best since penetration seems to be the big killing factor of hogs but I'm not 100% sure about that, I was looking at these rounds http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/7-A10A# 200 grain 10mm ball rounds, unless I don't need 20 grains.

You want deep penetration over expansion. Go look at Corbon. They make hunting loads for the 10mm Auto
The website says they are hardcast bullets and It hought it was bad to shoot hardcasts out of a stock glock barrel.http://www.shopcorbon.com/CORBON-Hunter/10mm-Auto-200gr-CORBON-Hunter-RNPN/HT10200PN-20/300/Product

I would say I do to, but the Glock I use has an aftermarket barrel
You mean the kid who plays CoD and therefore thinks he knows everything there is about guns?
Exactly. You'd think moving out to east bum fuck would eliminate these kids :pwn:
