Looking at some photos it looks like that specific part is welded to the barrel, there are only removable weights that go inside that part.
Damn. They sent me some more photos of it, but I can't see where the weights would be inserted without taking it off, unless it's the bottom, which I don't have photos of.

Actually, some of these photos show the bottom, and even there you can't put them in.
God I can't wait to get my P226, might get the Enhanced Elite version instead of the MK25, only a few hundred more
I think I'm going to get a life NRA membership. $1000 really isn't a whole lot of money when you're dedicating it to protecting your most important freedom.

I'd say freedom of speech is my most important freedom, but okay :v:
[editline]15th December 2012[/editline]
That and the NRA has basically turned into a mouthpiece for the Republican party. I wouldn't mind seeing a new, bipartisan firearms association rising from the ashes of the NRA, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Shit man, the inside of the barrel looks like a hotel room under UV light. The previous owner must have really loved it..

I don't care all that much about the NRA's political affiliations. I'd rather just support the association most likely to protect my freedoms.
right to bear arms is more important than right to free speech because right to bear arms protects all the other rights.

Money going to the NRA, not a single cent goes towards legislation issues. Donate to the NRA-ILA if that is your primary concern.
I'm letting my membership lapse at the end of this year. I haven't been happy with their political activities this year. I'll join the Second Amendment Foundation.

Probably scratch marks fro ma cleaning rod or something. They don't look too bad, but again I'd need to see it in person to make sure the bore isn't fucked or something and that's why it's so cheap.
As Eviltwins said, the NRA went down hill.

Keep in mind NRA told us during the last election to vote for Romney, even though he (Along with Obama) was for another AWB.
the NRA is as looney as the tea party. we need an organization for reasonable gun owners who intelligently debate the merits of gun control and are willing to accept some form of regulation instead of lunatics who scream "hurr-durr THEY'RE STEALING OUR GUNZZ!!!"
The NRA are pretty loony. Seems if you're a Democrat and pro guns, they still rate you as bad
[editline]15th December 2012[/editline]
And if you're anti-gun, but republican, it's all good!
dont join the NRA you dumbass they are anti-freedom in every regard

I never understood why people hold their gun like that
The NRA is trending on twitter and tweets are showing up like how they allowed all those children to die because they shielded the shooter.
Hnnghhhh I can't take the stupid.

what the fuck? can someone get some pics of this?
I never understood why people hold their gun like that
It's more stable than combat positions if your gun has a semi or straight grip. If you have a full grip it doesn't matter either way.
The reason that stance was phased out is because it isn't very compact.
Ugh, Twitter trends are fucking retarded

There's the Gun Owners of America too.
NRA likes having anti-gun laws in place, keeps em in business.
Speaking of, just saw this:
(Lummis, Donnelly, Rehberg, Broun, Miller, Carter, King of Iowa, Ross, Bishop):
This bill would allow curios and relics to be imported into the U.S. without the approval of the Department of State or the Department of Defense.
I suspect that because the NRA is in the packet of the gun manufacturers, they won't support the re-legalisation of importation of all those banned imports. Things like AKs and the like
I was wondering if the weight came off the barrel, and if it didn't I wasn't going to buy it because of what you just said, I'd need to buy a new barrel and pay a smith to put it on. At that point I may as well buy a new one, but if the weight just slides off then I'd get that because it's only $600. Does the weight not come off then? Have you got experience with that? I ask because I genuinely want to know if anyone has experience with these and knows if that's removable without smithing.
Ah, There may be a series of Allen Screws along the bottom of the weight. That thing definitely comes off the barrel, and I can't imagine it's too ridiculous to get off.

Despicable ME shirt=awesome shirt all the girls like
Trying to show logic to gun control lobbyists is impossible. I learned this long ago, which is why you will never see me give them the time of day. Short of their life being saved by a gun, they will never see any sort of reason.
Now look at this cute picture I took last night. The kids fell asleep with the light on.
