I think I'm going to get a life NRA membership. $1000 really isn't a whole lot of money when you're dedicating it to protecting your most important freedom.

I don't care all that much about the NRA's political affiliations. I'd rather just support the association most likely to protect my freedoms.

I'm letting my membership lapse at the end of this year. I haven't been happy with their political activities this year. I'll join the Second Amendment Foundation.

It's more stable than combat positions if your gun has a semi or straight grip. If you have a full grip it doesn't matter either way.
The reason that stance was phased out is because it isn't very compact.

Ah, There may be a series of Allen Screws along the bottom of the weight. That thing definitely comes off the barrel, and I can't imagine it's too ridiculous to get off.
