CNN is reporting that the Connecticut shooter tried to buy a gun at a nearby Dick's Sporting Goods, but was unsuccessful. They did not report why he was unsuccessful.
Wonder Why.
Damn. They sent me some more photos of it, but I can't see where the weights would be inserted without taking it off, unless it's the bottom, which I don't have photos of. [editline]14th December 2012[/editline] Actually, some of these photos show the bottom, and even there you can't put them in.
Looking at that, it looks like a standard Model 686 with a custom barrel weight attached to it. Looks like there are 2 screws there that keep it adhered to the underbarrel.
Glock & Wesson M4716.
Those Australian guns are really deadly
So today I went to the gun show. The people my dad and I buy ammo from wasn't there so I was dissapointed. But today I saw a plain old AK47 with wood furniture for get this $2700 I almost did a back flip right then and there, and asked the vendor if thats the actual price. He said yes.
Well hey man, that's a pretty good deal on a transferable AK!
AK 47 or AKM variant? If it were a real AK 47 I dunno, they're not common.
It was a semi auto, and it was a AKM variant. He also had a side folding 74 for like $1400
So, as promised I went to the gun shop again and got some pictures of that Finnish Mosin: [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSCN1415.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSCN14161.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSCN1417.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSCN1418.JPG[/t] [t] http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSCN14201.JPG[/t] I also felt really stupid when I went to take this picture. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSCN1431.JPG[/t] I hadn't thought to check there, but the mystery is gone. It's a Finnish M39. :v: Somebody bought the other Izhmash Mosin that I was interested in.. so that's a bummer. The Finnish one is neat but.. it's both out of my price range and I'm more interested in the standard 91/30 style.
Dumb question, is there a difference between .357 magnum, and .357 remmag?
anybody?
anybody?
This guy says he fires .357 Rem Mag through his revolver as well as .38 special. I'm guessing it's similar to .357 Magnum. Bud's Gunshop has a revolver for sale labeled as .357 Rem Mag, but below simply says .357 Magnum .357 Rem Max, on the other hand, is a different cartridge all together.
Bud's Gunshop has a revolver for sale labeled as .357 Rem Mag, but below simply says .357 Magnum
Thats actually why I was asking, been looking at Rhinos as of late because I'll never see a Mateba in my life time, and saw one on buds, but it was listed as ".357 RemMag". If I buy that or something similar, can I just shoot normal .357 magnum out of it, or do I have to buy a special cartridge? Most places I looked at said that .357 mag and .357 rem mag were the same, I just wanted to confirm with you guys.
357 Rem Mag is a misnomer for 357 Mag, likely arising from Remington's association with 44 Mag. 357 I'd supposed to be either a Win or S&W named cartridge, but apparently now peope are mis-crediting Remington with it.

there's no such thing as .357 rem mag .357 rem max is longer than .357 magnum and any gun chambered in .357 rem max will chamber and fire .357 magnum, .38 special, .38 long colt, or .38 short colt
Remington, your empire is built upon a pile of LIES!!
I... don't understand?

My dad posted the image/poster that those are mocking on Facebook, I feel kind of disappointed

Truly, nothing is mightier than the fruitcake :v: Except for the AK, apparently.
gaah obama is saying that he support a reinstatement of the awb :(
gaah obama is saying that he support a reinstatement of the awb :(
He's said that since the presidential debates, it's nothing new and it won't pass unless he uses an executive order.
executive order is unconstitutional, if we were still free that wouldn't be an option Still most presidents are too smart to do anything by executive order, it's guaranteed to make you remembered as a horrible president
Friend and I threw this together earlier:
Executive order is used all of the time... Most presidents don't bother issuing an executive order because congress is going to address an issue that they might have, but some presidents have used them with great effect, IE the banning of DADT.. They are extremely limited in scope and must contain extremely specific wording. [editline]15th December 2012[/editline] Also, boner material right here.. its better than viagra!
gun control isn't limited in scope, I'm talking about for major issues. nobody legitimately cares about dadt because nothing changed by banning it
