Heh, they should let the AWB go through but be all sneaky and tag on an amendment which repeals the NFA. Revenge for FOPA.
Everything I want is sold out, but very little has actually gone up in price
not even gonna bother checking cheaper than dirt after what they've done recently
The only thing I am interested in right now is AK mags and ammo. I hope they still have some of that left, I haven't really checked.
I'm so depressed right now, all I have is a Ruger 10/22 and a converted saiga 12 :C
I was planning on buying so many more guns in the future. Ughhhh fuck this government.

I was wanting to get a Saiga 12 at some point. Lucky you. :c
If an AWB goes through I may as well say goodbye to ever enlarging my gun collection the way I wanted. So far I have my Nugget and a SxS, was hoping to get an AMD-65 sometime soon.

I was kind of hoping to get some bizarre soviet gun like a Krinko, or an AK-74. :C
If this goes through I will march right up to the White House and give Obama the biggest pressed ham he's ever seen.
I wasn't planing on getting any AR's or AK's any time soon, but these stupid crazies and their need to be douche bags has forced me to look and buy.

DUDE
Too much information. I shouldn't have posted that question mark!
...
Count me in
My roommate just got his first gun. But he's leaving it at his parents house.
Over the past year I've met a lot of people into shooting and stuff and I gotta admit I think it would be nice to at least know how to shoot and have a license. Go to a shooting range for some recreation. Maybe go hunting with a few guys I know?
But I'm a resident of California... (I'm out of state)

Moving to a better state would help. :v:
I don't think my Winchester 190 would be legal under that new stupid thing. 15 round tube mag, semiauto, .22. The only thing I'd need such a large clip for is killing man, duh.
It's also from the '50s, so I'm just holding onto what will be the next big thing in assault weaponry.
I go to school in Oregon. But I go home for the holidays and summer in California for my parents.
It takes a butt-load of time to become a resident of another state doesn't it? Even though I'd totally become a resident of Oregon in a heartbeat.
If an AWB comes through, the US will STILL have "friendlier" gunlaws than Norway, so I'm moving anyways. But I think I better go for Vermont or Alaska, instead of Texas as I planned to.

Check Oregon's laws, they may be able to sell to out of state residents, as long as you're over 18. Another work around that I've used in the past is to use a passport. As long as you're over 18 (if you're buying a rifle, 21 if you're buying a handgun), you should be able to buy a firearm.

You're from Norway? Then you might find it nicer in Vermont. I've lived in Alaska and you'll get a lot of attention that's for sure. They might assume you're Russian though... that's Americans for you.

Maybe I'll check it out. I have some other things I'd prefer to buy over a gun so it will be a long time coming. Unless I nab a summer job.
About the pirate thing, is Boot-Strap bill taken?
One-eye willie?
Steve?

Alaska's looking pretty good at the moment.
Just received this from a friend. Springfield with a 1950 date. I love it!
Cheaper Than Dirt! will Resume Online Firearm Sales Pending Policy Changes
Cheaper Than Dirt! recently announced that it was temporarily suspending online sales of firearms pending a review of its order processing and procedures. Well-known for its ability to process and ship orders within 24 hours, online sales have skyrocketed to a point where it may take up to 72 hours for firearms and other items to ship.
"In light of recent events, we believe it is prudent to review our policies and procedures to ensure we can continue to provide the products and firearms our customers demand," said Chief Operations Officer Roberta Wilson. "We will resume online sales once we update our process and continue as we have always done by shipping firearms only to FFL dealers."
Ms. Wilson closed with, "As a long-time supporter of the Second Amendment, we will continue to serve the needs of the firearms community while ensuring our unsurpassed level of quality and customer service."
The problem is that everyone else is panic buying and the result is empty store shelves and gouged prices.

Still avoiding ctd, they started price gouging as soon as the panic started

Ruger 10/22 BX25s at a 100% markup!

They didn't mark up mags, and they actually had several warehouses with 226 mags in stock when I checked about two weeks ago. Tried looking today and EVERYTHING they had related to the 226 was sold out.

Everything purchased/owned before the new ban would be grandfathered in. They have been smart enough to at least leave that clause in for the time being.

almost certain this was 20$ about 2 weeks ago, we even had a discussion about it on here.
Just bought 10 AK-74 mags, 2 of them are 45 rounders. Every other mag was out of stock.
I already have 50 AR-15 mags that hold 30+, and a 50 round casket (was a hefty price).
[editline]19th December 2012[/editline]
And I hear rumors M1 Garand will be on the list :I
This idiocy is causing people to spew bullshit about AR-15s here now too, and talking about the shooting that happened here over 20 years ago as if it happened the same day. I'm worried that the stupidity from your politicians will spill over north of the border and that we'll just have to one-up you guys on idiocy in gun control. We need a fucking vocal gun lobby here, what the fuck are the CSSA and NFA doing? They don't run ads, they don't distribute flyers, and nobody knows who the hell they are. No politician fears Canada's unnamed gun lobby, though the anti-gunners keep trying to act like they have the government in their virtually nonexistent pocket. I hope that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy on them, and that they do, because maybe then gunners in the US will want to move to Canada for once, and not the other way around.
