why don't they put the irons on the side of the mateba?
as odd as it sounds, it makes more sense to have them closer to the barrel.

The ban only acts on semi auto weapons. Your Bolt action will be fine, so will .22's
But it still affects semi-autos. Under this ban an SKS is illegal, so is an SVT-40, so is a G41/43, so is an M1 Carbine and an M1 Garand. This is why this bill is so stupid.

I was under the impression an SKS would only be illegal with a detachable magazine.

I was more then prepared to drop the money on the pistol, thats the one gun I'd sell my soul for, but my soul isn't worth 3500$ sadly.
Hopefully they won't go after Glocks and I will still be able to buy one of those at least, Probably going to try and buy at least a few 15 round mags before I go and buy it though, just in case those become illegal before the guns do.

Good thing I'm not too interested in aftermarket stocks. Although I once saw the top handguard of an SKS replaced with a ventilated/perforated steel piece. Looked really cool and didn't fuck with the aesthetics.

I wouldn't think that congress would ever dare to make an AWB without a Grandfather clause, which would make the stuff you already have legal, even if it doesn't meet their AWB.
