What does the law say about civilians shooting police officers if they truly believe that the police officer is going to shoot them with out just cause?
would you object if I posted bayonets?
That's not a knife, it's a poking gun. Big difference.
what about bayonets not attached to guns?
What about knives taped onto guns?
I think you misunderstand, the poking gun does not require a normal gun to poke, it merely aids the poking gun in its job of poking by providing an ergonomic grip and an easy method of dislodging stuck poked materials from the poking gun.
Hell, what about hatchets, I wouldnt want to be on the receiving end if someone had a hatchet attached to the end of their gun and they swung it at me.
What about knives taped onto guns?
That is no true poking gun, and is blasphemy against the murdercube.

Need opinions on BP revolvers. GF wants a pistol for christmas and I've been thinking about getting a BP revolver for myself. I might just 'buy her one'. Is BP easy to cleanup afterwards with the usual solvents/cleaners? Is lubricating each cylinder necessary for each shot?

Got all the cosmoline out of my sling mounts on my Nugget. Now they're nice and shiny. Looks so much different.

My dad has like 4 AR-15's of various types, and about 3000 rounds of 5.56 ammo. He's feeling pretty smug whenever he checks the online gun stores prices. Also, on Thurs. we went down to the gun store to get a new front sight for my M14. It was literally packed wall to wall with everybody and their kids trying to buy up all the guns. Is the new law going to be that any gun taking a bayonet is banned? because that's like half the family arsenal right there.

And bayonet lug is only one of the many requirements for an assault weapon.
ah. the way it was being talked about I thought anything with a bayonet lug was a goner

I have no idea why they're regulating what firearms you can get, instead of just making it harder and more demanding to get more dangerous stuff. You know, like driver's licenses.
The cop gave the nutjob too many chances, should've shot him when he went back to his car.
He should have shot him when he didn't drop the gun.

Well, I was having a rather interesting debate with someone. He said that higher gun ownership is leaded with higher murder rates, I said that's silly, guns don't make people do bad things, they're simply tools, so I asked him to prove it with data and he posted this link http://guncontrol.ca/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/moregunsmoredeaths2012.pdf Straight away, looking at it I thought it was pretty suspicious, I've been looking at the data for a while and I knew off the top of my head that many of those countries had much lower murder (murder in general that is) rates than that. Well, it turned out that number includes suicides. So when I pointed that out he started going off at me how my ideas will get his kids killed and that giving minimum wage teachers guns is a really bad idea, then he started making comments that I must be a "Conservative Christian wingnut" despite meeting this guy on a scepticism forum. Any who...

Is lubricating each cylinder necessary for each shot?
I wouldn't get a BP revolver as a first BP gun, they're actually quite tricky to get the hang of and most of them have military sights so you'll have to saw down though the hammer notch if you want to hit things closer than 80 yards. Haven't found any caps which don't violently fragment either, which is unbelievably stupid since the fragments hit you in the face and shit. You also need to wipe down the face of the cylinder before reloading or the BP fouling builds up and makes it extremely difficult to draw the hammer. Don't get me wrong, they are fun but they're not really something everyone would enjoy. If you want to get a BP pistol, get a single shot caplock of some kind, they're not hard to find and are easy to load and shoot, flintlocks are a bit harder to find but are just as good if not better since you don't need to buy caps, but you'll need to learn to set the flint properly. You don't need special solvents to clean up BP fouling either, just water, soapy or non soapy it doesn't matter, doesn't need to be hot either. But you must use a jag, no brushes, brushes just get torn up and strip the passive rust off the bore which you want because it helps prevent active rust while a jag not only leaves the rust there but holds a patch very tightly so you don't loose it down the barrel and have to fish it out with a hook.
What's a "boot" pistol?

Any who...
He tried to back up a claim with a blatantly biased source? The Coalition For Gun Control is literally the worst source to provide. Not to mention you can bring up US murder rates over time, which have actually gone down to their lowest levels since the '50s, despite there being an all-time high number of guns in the US. Also, was this a Canadian you were debating with? His response after disproving him sounds pretty par for the course for most Canadians who are dead-set on gun control. [editline]22nd December 2012[/editline]
What's a "boot" pistol?
Generally a short-barrelled Derringer meant to be concealed-carried in one's boot.

But yea, I noticed it was a gun control group so I grew very suspicious of the data
