I saw that movie when it came out, and me with my slightly younger, less logical mind thought it was all real.

Chicken wing doesn't hurt, its actually good for stability. It just looks dumb as hell and isn't very compact. That back and neck posture on the other hand looks cramp-inducing

Thanks. They were a gift to me from my dad for another 1911 I had, swapped them out and put them on the Kimber. Custom made by Esmeralda.
Here's her site if anyone is interested

Also apparently she was "posing for a picture" and "wasn't actually shooting".
Yeah she makes some very nice stuff, and they're all unique.
Going to be picking up some Hi Power grips from her soon and maybe even another 1911 set.

spalted maple is probably my favorite "fancy" wood
Is it bad that the first thing that popped into my head was "I'd love a coffee table in that kind of wood!"?
no it has an awesome rustic charm without being gloomy pale/dark

yes, spalted maple is very weak and isn't any good for anything that requires structural integrity.

I've seen spalted maple furniture. Usually it's veneered over a core wood
Fuck sake, some fucking retarded news website has just published the names and addresses of everyone who owns a handgun in some American city

Totally not going to lead to them having their firearms stolen

Someone should get the names and addresses of everybody working for that news agency, post them, and point out which ones don't own guns.
I had a stock springfield M1A, and I loved it. The receiver didn't have a mark or dent on it, and like ridge said there were some machine marks on the underside of the receiver, but other than that it was flawless. Only problem I had with the rifle was that my boresnake wouldn't work with it because of the flash hider. I got rid of mine because it was a little expensive to shoot for my tastes. Hopefully you don't turn 18 for another year or so, because finding an M1A for a decent price will be tough, and .308 prices aren't doing to great either.
Yeah I don't turn 18 for another 2 years so hopefully prices will go back down. Also my dad has reloading dies for his .308 so I guess if I ever get the time when I'm 18 ( lol goodluck with that in the marines ) I'll go reload some, but ammo probably won't be too bad on my end cause I won't have any bills to pay.

The only thing that doesn't sadden me about her stance is the Christ Costa hold she has on the VFG.
2/10 overall though. Would still probably bang.

I made some 1911 grips just the other day as a present for my Dad this Christmas, they're black and white Ebony. Was gonna use Snakewood but they didn't have any, also picked up a bit of Lacewood but went with the Ebony instead. I'll post some pictures of em tomorrow.
Speaking of 1911, I showed mine to my grandma just last night since she used to do shooting before she met my grandfather, and the first thing she says is "woah that's cool, it looks like a Glock"

Dammit, for some stupid reason I really want a bayonet lug for my 870. Shame the only place that makes them sells them for 90bux a pop.
Well Gents Im home on leave for Christmas but when I go back I finish my 0331 training. The M240B is my baby, its such an amazing weapons system. The M249 is a piece of shit and the only thing I like about it is that its a belt fed weapon. I love my job, god bless the Marine Corps. Oorah!
I've heard conflicting stories, but is it true machine gunners are issued hearing protection more-so over regular infantrymen?
My assault shovel came. After Christmas, I'm gonna beat the shit out of my tree with it.

I have no idea why, but I got free 1 day shipping.

In training everyone has earpro, whether you wear it or not is your deal, but from what I've been told by my Sgt. is that on both of his deployments in Afganyland no one wears earpro.
