Reloading gear might be expensive, but it will make itself back in only a month or so if you shoot regularly
depends on what you shoot really, if you're into .30-06 then yeah but not so much if you're just shooting 9x19 or something

Not in Australia where surplus only exists in 7.62x54mmR
How expensive/difficult to find is .303? I want a No.5 Mk.1 really bad.
CIA rounded it up and sent most of the surplus .303 to Afghanistan so they could fight the Soviets, the Afghanis were often using Lee-Enfields and Brens back then, so surplus .303 is pretty much unobtanium.
Definitely one you want to reload yourself lest you pay $1 a round for softpoints, I haven't been able to fire my Lee-Enfield for years.
Anti-gunners in Mass Debate remind me of children sticking their fingers in their ears and going "LALALALALALA" really loudly.
Guess who got some new clothes for christmas!

I am not an AK purist, I like my rails and black polymer, and my new stock that is actually comfortable to shoot with.
It is impossible for me to get a proper cheekweld with a standard AK stock.
I still have the original wood furniture, safe from the nicks and scratches that occur when hunting hogs.
I also have a proper vertical foregrip as well as the AFG.
I've always told my father I wanted to get into reloading with him so I could spend some time with him and enjoy a great hobby. He used to be big into it. I work with guns daily and do a lot of shooting, so I've always wanted to get into it.
Bought me a TON of reloading gear, brass, components, 30 cal bullets (I shoot mainly 30; 300wm, 300RUM, 300AAC, .308, and so on.) He says it will all make a great starting point for me
Giving him his Sig P226 Navy tomorrow!

but i really want one in 9mm but they're like $1500

300 Remington Ultra Mag. I've got a savage 110 chambered in it, really fun gun but kicks like a bitch.

I think HK makes their own version of .22lr MP5, probably would be better quality.

I wouldn't buy from CTD, but it seems worth it.
Gun related Christmas swag for me: a rifle rest, ammo box, some shotgun shells, and an empty rifle case. I only have 2 guns, and both have cases, so I hope that means that there's a something waiting for me at my grandparents'.

[del]I know it's upside down. I shot this real quick and the only way I could get my phone to not fall over was to flip is upside town relative to the camera lens.[/del]
Fixed. Ignore the OneTrueMedia shit; I'm on my friend's pc and it's like bare minimum allowances on software.
The other sites i've seen it on have it for roughly 10 dollars more, i'm also looking at the delux turret press on cabelas, I really don't know what the difference is, but its 20 dollars more than the press on CTD.
CTD is a bunch of fags now, They panicked and jacked the fuck out of there prices, took their guns offline, and lost well over 50,000 customers and then 1 day later they started selling guns online again and kept their shitty prices. I'd rather pay the extra $10 - $30 and support a better company.
Forgot to add- got three Doublestar lowers and a Noveske lower
Apparently he got them right before the prices all jumped. Looks like we're going to be building some AR's and reloading. I'm a very happy son right now.
Instead of my father taking me shooting, I'm taking him shooting... With a friend's rifle.
Anyone want to be a father figure and buy me a 22?

You should save up and buy him a Ruger 10/22. If he likes shooting, he'd probably love one of those. Great gift.
Wait guys I have more dumb questions
Are there semi auto ppsh 41's?

Usually homebuilds though.

Anyone have any experience with the Henry Lever action .22lr?

I'm asking since moving to Canada within a year and a half and I'm not sure if I want to get a 10/22, seeing as they have mag limits for semi autos.

Henry Golden Boys are sooo pretty. I tried one the other day and the action was really smooth, cycled like butter. I'd happily get one.

Octogonal barrel, brass receiver, beautiful walnut, all american craftsmanship... what else could you ask for?.
Thanks. I'm not sure if I want a golden boy though. It's the same rifle, just a couple hundred bucks more expensive and with a gold trim and different wood, would rather just get the regular model.
[editline]25th December 2012[/editline]
300 dollars versus 500 :v:
My dad has one, they're very nice. Price isn't too bad either.
to be honest I'd rather have a marlin or something that feeds from the receiver versus from the end of the tube
I just found out that Illinois got 180 days to come up with a CCW law. I see a Glock 26 and/or mossberg 590 pump in my future.. :)
Speaking of CTD, are they usually slow when it comes to processing orders? I ordered a +2 extension for my 870 on the 16th and its still says ts being processed.

California, mostly SoCal stuff centralized around Yanks airfield/Planes of Fame in Chino.
