I just keep my glock with me, it serves any defensive purposes I may need.
I might throw an SBS in it and load it with steel slugs just in case I'm one of the one in a trillion people who get involved in a high speed chase with a car full of raging gorillas
If given the chance, what would you buy first:
M1 Garand - [t]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/wrench.png[/t]
K98 - [t]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/information.png[/t]
K98s are a lot cheaper, and a lot less picky about ammo. It's probably easier to find one that shoots good too.
too big for a truck gun imo, get a zastava m92 or something
Well unless you drive a Jeep, then you can keep a Garand right there on the dash. :v:
What I want: M1911 of some kind of open carry, 870 and some type of semi-auto rifle on a rack in the truck.
I've been wanting one of those .22 MP5s too and I'm pretty sure it's just Uramex who imports them, H&K actually makes them. Oh and GSG makes one too
I'm just gonna get a 10/22 and the G36 stock for it. Although that .22LR SCAR copy interested me at one point in time, though I heard the firing pin on that thing sucks.

Not quite, Walther (and occasionally some other companies in other countries) makes them on license from H&K, and then Umarex USA imports them
Found 2 30 Round magazines for the AR and a 40 rounder for the AK-74
Much $W@G

My grandfather would be upset to hear you say that. He carried one on the front lines through 2 wars :v:

Ugh, the "people took scary pictures of assault weapon Christmas presents" news article s the most retarded news article I've seen to date

I'm still reeling from the guy who compared firearm ownership to wanting to own nuclear weapons.

Okinawa and then in Korea from '50 to '52

You should get some sexy wood furniture for that bad boy
I think a battle rifle is just about the best present you can give someone (including yourself)
All the retard panic buyers are buying up all of the 25 rnd 10/22 mags over here, I cant find BX-25s anywhere.

My day has been made, pure gold and I cannot unsee that now :v:
I'm debating on putting some rails on it, the gun just fits me so well and I'd like some attachments. It was a Christmas present to myself, I'm so excited
Holy shit, Classic Firearms has had pretty much their entire inventory bought out from under them.
That being said, do you guys have any suggestions for a first-time gun build? That shovel-AK and the Ppsh build have me wanting to build something of my own.
IMO G3s are good build guns, because they usually end up being a fair bit cheaper than just buying one flat out, where most other guns end up more or less the same price by the end of the whole ordeal.
Plus that way you get genuine HK G3 and lots of other goodies you don't get with the PTRs usually.

AR15s go together like legos if you want something easy, otherwise G3 kits are pretty easy to do and end up costing a lot less
Any idea how much a G3 build would wind up costing me?
Hey everyone. Long time lurker of the threads and first time posting. Read up in /k/ too. I've got a question for the lot of you. I've wanted to get into real steel shooting as I only play airsoft now and want something nice to start off with. I have a 91/30 now but want something nice to take to the range. I'd like something semi and really have no preference on sights. I don't really know what to put here as to what you guys want to know from me. Definitely under $500. I'd like a rifle but wouldn't mind a pistol caliber carbine along the lines of a Keltec Sub2k. I really really like the looks of the Saiga 7.62 20" barrel if that helps for anything. Thanks everyone!

Around in the $700-800 range depending on certain factors

Sub $500, p. much your only real good option is an SKS. Or a 10/22, but imho 10/22s are not really fun guns.
A-anything cheaper that I can do as a first build? :v:
