'They all just need to go.'
'This whole 2nd Amendement stuff is complete bollocks, why don't they just repeal the damned thing already?'
'The closest I've ever been to a handgun, I don't know why, I felt terrified, just, what if it had bullets in it and the guy went crazy?!'
'They don't NEED all those fully-automatic-submachine guns. That's just utterly absurd.'
'They don't need that for hunting. What on earth do they need it for?!'
I responded as rationally and politely as possible(imagine the polar opposite attitude of how I respond to faze's comments), why the 2nd Amendment was written the way it was, why it can't be and should not be repealed, CCW got brought up a few times. Finding the words to describe and elaborate these things to these mindsets that look down on such ideas condescendingly is emotionally tiring and I'm now exhausted and whats disheartening to me is I don't think I even got through to them.
I just don't like it when something which I have been around, grew to like and understand lovingly so ignorantly mocked by a bunch of nanny-staters.
And this is coming from a dude who was pretty much raised in the UK.
Wow, you should move here. I rated winner for the second half, by the way. Not for their stupid comments.
At my store we don't even stock 223WSSM, didn't even know it existed until 1 guy asked about it.
WSSM cartridges are just WSM versions of .223, .243, and .25-06 caliber bullets. They are really no different than 270WSM, 7MMWSM, and 300WSM. They are just really short, so they call them super short. Bad thing about them is they burn REALLY hot. They are known to kill non-chrome lined barrels very quickly.
If any of you are in the Northern Virginia area, there's a gun show at the Dulles Expo center this weekend. If there's a gun y'all wanted to buy, it'll be there.
Just shot my PTR, gat dayum this thing is hard on the brass... Also slings it out faster than any gun I own.
Any way to reduce the wear and tear it is causing on the brass? I know this is just how the gun is designed, but I also use that stuff for reloading for my other guns....
Finally got my AKM back!

You might be able to harden the gas system a bit, but there's a fine line between destroying brass and not ejecting
The G3 action is very crude and will not function like q match grade rifle.
You could run just 7.62x51 through it too, the thicker case wall might be enough to fix the problem.
Spent the day looking around the Florida panhandle for AK mags. Went to like 6 different stores that didn't have any. Finally checked one last place out and they had some plastic thermold mags for 40$ a pop. They also had 400$ mosins, 500$ yugo mausers, and a 600$ carcono that had half its stock chopped off. 3200$ for a .308 AR, and several SCARH's that I didn't have the heart to ask the price for. I got out of there before I looked at anymore prices, I wanted to puke.

Went to gander and a local gunship today. Gander didn't even have any 7.62x39 and the local one had a ton of boxes of tul for $20 FOR 20 rounds. No wonder they had a ton left
But they also had a HK G3 in the original wooden box with German manuals and a fucking Bren. Suprsingly had a ton of cheap handguns, saw a .38 special Colt I really liked. But they also had 3 Nagant revolvers and now I really want one
So which one of you nigs will buy for me a revolver from aimsurplus

Shot my M1 Garand at the range today. Off some sandbags it did 2.5 inches at 50 yards and 5 inches at 100 yards with some really REALLY dirty 1940s m2 ball ammo. I wonder how accurate I could get this thing with some newer greek m2 ball or some handloads?
Also >tfw the old guys at the range like your gun so much they come over to admire it

People typically do that with my M44, then after I shoot it they retreat to a distance where it won't bust their ear drums :v:
Went in to buy the Marlin today, got put on delay for the background check.
Gotta admit, having to wait on a $150 .22 feels silly. Still, hooray for first step into gun ownership!

Last time I went in they had stacks of forms that were delayed for further review. Stacks. There were like fifty people just mulling around doing nothing, all waiting for their background checks to go through. The poor guy doing the papers had been on the phone with the FBI for over two hours.

That's hilariously miserable considering when I went in for my .22WMR Marlin, he smashed on his keyboard for about fifteen minutes before walking me out of the store with both my gun and my ammunition, all purchased at the same time.
Should I thank WalMart for that, or the state of Arizona?

Yugo?
Norinco, but the price was right. Couldn't say no to $225
Yugo?
Easy way to spot a Yugo is rifle grenade mount. That one doesn't have one.
Shot my new hardballer for the first time today, it was very fun I like it.
I had my dad record me shooting it with his iPhone take a look!

Roller Locked blowback, right?

delayed. that explains even more good god what was H&K thinking?
I think they were thinking that roller-delayed blowback worked exceptionally well on the MG42, so why shouldn't it work on a battle rifle?
