hmmmmmmmmmmmm... if you're implying what i think you're implying, i will seriously think that over
Well if the AWB doesn't go through, I'm probably just going to end up buying a shit load of guns whenever I go into the marines and get a paycheck. Won't have any bills to pay on base other than food.

Then you get the fun of storing it in the base armory and praying whatever the marine equivalent to security forces is doesnt take them out to play. Main reason why I haven't already expanded my collection gratuitously, too much hassle.
I got a gun I need valued.
It's an old Smith and Wesson First Model .38 Caliber Baby Russian Revolver. It's numbers matching, but nickel plated, which as far as I know was never original. It also has a very poor bore, but it locks up tight. I've been thinking of it as worth roughly 600 bucks, can anyone help with this? I can add pics later.
It looks like this, but wit a 3 inch barrel.

Ask a relative if you can put it in their house instead of putting it in a base armoury with moronic armourers
yeah trunk after careful consideration with my team of scientists, I have concluded if you really wanna do that, I'm down

Whats style and who made your M1? you can PM me if you wanto
You know you aren't putting much faith in your design when you add a manual bolt to be used when the action fails.
I really don't understand why the Germans didn't just copy an SVT-40 as soon as they got their hands on one

The manual bolt was a requirement of the program
The manual bolt was a requirement of the program
Oh I see now, it's pretty much a weirdo back up cocking handle.
How does that work? do you take the normal bolt out and replace it with a bolt action one?
I'd imagine it to be like a charging handle on an AR-15, bolt moves independently but if it fails you can still yank on the handle to manually rechamber.

If the MP's ever did that on Ft. Campbell they would get lit up. AF security forces actually do that stuff?

Was actually thinking about getting a big gun safe back at home whenever I do go in for me and my Dad and if that doesn't work, I have an aunt and her dad lives in cali which is prolly where I'd be stationed and I think he's got some room ( lol more like A LOT of room ) for a few weapons.
Ugh, another new guy in MD who thinks he can debate by spewing bullshit and claiming everything I say is ridiculous or a fallacy

worth a shot
There's a couple of those floating around.
btw DCS: Blackshark and DCS: A10C Warthog are both 75% off on steam. bought both, hoping A10C only has BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT loops for audio files
A good subwoofer is required for A10C. If stuff isn't falling off your desk when you shoot stuff then you're doing it wrong. :v:
I have a $750 headphone rig so hopefully my brain will turn to mush

thinking about getting a trackir to go with it but its pretty hard to spend $150 on something so weird
It helps with DCS, have to do a lot of clicking around in the cockpit, pretty much every switch and button works and needs to be used at some point though I wouldn't call it a necessity since you're not going to be doing much dogfighting. If you've got a good webcam you can just use TrackNoIR.
Now Rise of Flight, that game really makes me wanna get TrackIR. And a pair of MG08s so I can build a Fokker DVII. Local air museum has a naked DVII, one of these days I'll go down there with a tape measure and calipers and see if they'll let me do some measurements.
optical head tracking always seems really iffy on me, I think my glasses throw it off or something

Have been out of the gun control debate loop for awhile but
Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act
Bill is DOA.
I don't think she deserves to be impeached because of it but holy christ is this dumb legislation.

the point is to prevent similar legislation from being passed in the future, if impeachment is a possibility nobody will ever want to pass it

I like this one

To be fair, its only ever rumors I've heard, but it seems like a pervasive enough one to at least be hesitant.

So were rumors of stress cards but those aren't real either. They keep the weapons locked in the post armory, guarded 24 hours a day. The MP guarding it would be in a world of shit if they mucked around with the weapons within without authorization, or if they went shooting with someone else's personal weapon. There are things in place to prevent that from happening, so I wouldn't worry at all about it.

In Australia, a few people i know are in the army (or were) and they said their personal weapons got dings and such because apparently they have to do weekly stockchecks and the armoury guys aren't too kind with putting a gun back on the rack
