Is there any trick to it so I don't have to twist the gun a little bit every time?
That's a design feature. The idea is that you can't accidentally drop your mag in the middle of a fight.
This. This right here. Also in the calls we get are questions like "Do you have any AR15's? Do you know what they are going to do with the whole gun ban deal (which I try to explain my best and inform them,) do you have any .223 in the back?" We don't gouge our prices AT ALL so everything is very low priced. Mags aren't increased in price, AR's are at normal price (when we have them,) and people love us for that.
I deal with the same kinda stuff. My store only sells fudd guns, but most of us own handguns there, and we're constantly asked "Do you guys have any handguns? How about tactical guns or assault rifles? Do you deal in used guns? How about surplus?" To which I answer no every time. We also get daily calls asking about 10/22s, which we haven't had for 9 months, and are scarce as hen's teeth in this country right now due to Ruger basically ignoring every dealer who isn't American, and we've been out of all other semi-auto .22s since the beginning of December. We also don't stock reloading equipment and I keep telling people that we're trying to get it in for March, and that Commander duck calls will be coming in the new year as well, and I suppose I'll have to change that line now since it's 2013.
That's a design feature. The idea is that you can't accidentally drop your mag in the middle of a fight.
But I used to be able to do it and it's so much nicer on the P99 :/
I'm so glad they made the mag release long on the P99, I've tried the one on the HK P30, which is the same but shorter, and having that lever be shorter makes it a royal pain in the ass. Also, Black Milano, you're from Chile, right? Go march over to FAMAE and tell them to start making those pipe shotguns you posted in MD right now and have them ship them to Canada, I want one in all the gauges.
Bought my first k98 today :3!
Oooooo pretty, im jelous
I can't find a goddamn cleaning rod that fits my Kar98, all of the ones I find are the 10 inchers. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] I do have a sight hood though, so at least it looks semi-complete
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/woman-kills-pistol-texas-gun-shop-article-1.1230950 I swear to god if people start begging for waiting periods now
In a few moments I'll be taking my father shooting (who didn't enjoy shooting when he was a kid, and is slightly anti-gun) with a friend. I don't expect him to turn about and fall in love with guns, but it will be fun.
What equiptment should i get for my tigerII? I have vents, camo and binocs from my tiger but i think i can get better ones for it. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] whoops wrong thread
Name one, just one country that doesn't have fucked gun laws. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] Makes some really good points. Consider them before buying a 1911. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] Fuck i'm still drunk from last night and can't type all that well
But, on the other hand...
See that's why I want a 1911. But I'm kinda scared of selling my SKS, it's my first gun, it's reliable as tits and the ammo is real cheap But a .45 p220 for a sub $400 rifle?

[editline]1st January 2013[/editline] whoops wrong thread
Toss away the camo and binocs, pick up a gun laying drive and a rammer. You can replace the GLD with vents if you like though. He's not getting a 1911. He's saying he wants one, but he's trading his SKS for the p220.
But, on the other hand...
Absolutely. Just don't rely on it saving your skin.
Absolutely. Just don't rely on it saving your skin.
I dunno, I've always shot better with the M1911, including drills and reload. Glocks and Sigs are pretty bad, imo.
Absolutely. Just don't rely on it saving your skin.
full size is useless for edc but otherwise makes a great duty pistol, especially if you've got a double stack 1911. I like the ergonomics of a glock better personally but 1911s are pretty fantastic if they fit your hand.
I personally prefer a 1911 just because I like my handguns to have a hammer. It's not my first choice, but it's higher up than a glock. All the glocks I've shot typically FTE'd or FTF'd 1-2 rounds out of 50 for me, and I wasn't limp wristing or anything either. I haven't put enough rounds into enough 1911's to get a good comparison though, but I did like the way they shot over glocks.
But, of course, the Hi-Power comes in to say "Hey, cool looking 1911-esque style with better round and big magazine"
Better round is debatable, but for different purposes, yeah. I see the 9x19 round as a better police round than a military round.
Military rounds are a whole different story when it comes to CCW.
But, of course, the Hi-Power comes in to say "Hey, cool looking 1911-esque style with better round and big magazine"
the better round thing is debatable, but really it's pretty 2013 right now and you should definitely be ignoring most of John Browning's designs and just go for an FNP or something

My 1911, on the other hand, stovepiped two rounds out of a box of 100. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] But the gun was brand new, so I'll chalk that up to breaking in period. And it was Remington UMC, which was some of the filthiest ammo I've ever shot. I don't have the photo anymore, but from the muzzle to about 2 inches back was just covered in gray filth at the end of those 100 rounds.

I've put about 500 rounds through 3 or so different glocks, one of which was rented. I put about 200 rounds through a friends 1911 and it didn't jam once. I have the memory span of a golf ball, so I don't remember the brands of ammo being shot. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] I've never owned a glock, or a 1911, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.
my glock explodes if I'm using hot loads in old brass, it's a gen 1 22 [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] the only reason I don't reload .40 S&W tbh
I think it comes down to who actually made the gun as well. With Glock, you pay ~$500 and you're going to get a quality pistol, period. Say what you want about ergos or any of the other nitpickings on Glock, but fact is, a Glock is like a damn tank. Pay ~$500 for a 1911... you might get lucky, odds are you won't. I love 1911s, I'd even go so far to say that it's my favorite pistol design, but you have to pay out the ass to get a high quality piece. Stuff like Springfield's top shelf guns, Kimber, and if you're really loaded Nighthawk or Dan Wesson.
Yeah some dude called saying he had a compact 1911, had to turn that down because I dislike compact guns I've actually got a ton of offers and a lot of asking to ship which I always say no to Why won't the p220 lady email me back >:( also I think she doesn't know a lot about guns because like some info is wrong http://www.armslist.com/posts/754556/palm-beach-handguns-for-sale-trade--wts-poss--wtt-sig-p250-45acp-viridian-green-lazer-nice-
If you can't find a deal your bro with the p225 will still be here :3
Trying to find a Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS free float rail, 15 inch... Can't find them anywhere, and that is all I need to finish my build :( What caliber is that P225 in that you have?
9mm single stack. It's a P6
