Would any of you guys trust a revolver with any pitting on the cylinder, no matter how minor? There's a Colt up for under $500, but the cylinder is apparently pitted. I don't know how much so, should I find out, or should I just move on to a more safe option?
I'd be wary
I'm currently saving up for an SKS (woo no job teenager), but I fear that by the time I have the money, I won't be able to find one anywhere.
I'm doing the same except I have a summer job, and basically have the money but I can't find any decently priced SKS's already.

I'd test fire it a few dozen times first. I wouldn't mind owning something with a pitted cylinder as long as it was just pitting and not the structural damage that often accompanies it

The Ruger SR9 has such a nice finish on it.

I asked the dood if he'd offer me the M1 and cash, but he didn't like that idea. I wasn't really interested in the K98 because it looked fake as hell, like someone took an original one and chromed it, and I'm not interested in a saiga at all.
Unless your M1A somehow shoots like shit, why don't you just keep it?
Unless that m1 was a USGI one, your m1a is worth way more. even if it was, yours would still be worth more
Man all this talk of K98s makes me want one really bad. They're probably my favorite bolt gun ever. How much is a reasonable price for one? is 700 to much? theres one on armslist for that much
Unless that m1 was a USGI one, your m1a is worth way more. even if it was, yours would still be worth more
Depends on the condition of the carbine and the amount of "correct" parts on it

700 is WAY too much. You can get a good one anywhere from 300-500$

Not possible, the store has no range and thanks to the dumbass laws in Canada I can't even bring it to the range LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the shop and do it there. I can't test it until it's bought, and that's making me especially wary.

What is this and why is it relevant to firearms?

I was assuming it was going to be nutnfancy losing it, people keep saying he's gone a bit crazy since Obama got relected

I actually think this was very well written. Even as a dirty socialist european I got the American mindset and I understood how the relationship between a citizen and a government ideally should be like.
People like Feinstain don't have your best interests in mind when they push for stuff like this, and they're only too happy to do it the dirty way too, there's no honor or integrity among these people. The stuff that went on when the 1986 Hughes Amendment was passed would make your blood boil.

It's completely silent and has a high capacity clip that can hold 500 6mm rounds!
And it's completely legal without a permit!
Actually in the UK it isn't unless half the body is a neon color. Otherwise you do need a permit.
