I hate Precision's range. I really prefer Baker's.
The worst thing about Precision is their shit ass ventilation. I've never been to the Baker range, despite working only a few miles away from them. I usually only go to the range when a bunch of people want to go, and it's always Precision.
I just thought, what would happen if you put snow in a suppressor. would it make it quieter? being in Norway you have plenty of snow so...
I just thought, what would happen if you put snow in a suppressor. would it make it quieter? being in Norway you have plenty of snow so...
I guess it would be the same as putting water in a suppressor. It will make it work better
Putting snow in the suppressor and NOT blocking the barrel would work okay I imagine. Blocking the barrel? :v: Then you are going to need buy a new barrel/suppressor, depending on what would be the weaker part in that construction.
A FAL costs about $700 here, but you can't buy it, only about 20,000 people in the country can own them, and they're not allowed to shoot them anywhere, even their own farmland. AKs cost $500 for one you can't buy, and one of the very few Valmet ones you can costs over $4000. Can't get AUGs or G3s, and I don't know their market price. A full-auto Thompson goes for $4000, but only about 1000 people can actually buy it, and again none are allowed to shoot it anywhere. Silencers/suppressors are banned, and there is no market for them as there is no prohibited grandfathered licence for them. Mags over 5 rounds for rifles, 10 for pistols are illegal, unless there's something pinning them to only 5 or 10, with very few exceptions. As for the cheap shit, Russian and Chinese Military SKSes are $180, Mosins are $150, SVT-40s are $300, TT-33s are $200, so are Nagant Revolvers when you can find them, and surplus ammo is $300/880 of 7.62x54R, $300/1440 on stripper clips for 7.62x39, and $350/2280 of 7.62x25. Lee-Enfields start at $350 each and go up. 1911s, SIGs (sort of), and CZ pistols (sort of) start at $350, AR-15s at $650, M-14s at $430, all of them Chinese clones.

Its kind of funny how its legal yet both "AK-type" at the same time.

At least rego doesn't restrict what guns you can own. On another note. I think, that by definition, an En Bloc clip should really be called a magazine. Magazines are loaded with rounds and attached to a weapon. Clips are loaded with rounds and help with loading a weapon or magazine. En Bloc clips go in a rifle, and thus really should be En Bloc magazines

Or how the Skorpion is supposedly banned, but I can buy one for $1000, legally? Or how they banned the HK G11, even though it is a gun that NEVER ACTUALLY EXISTED!? This is also kinda in response to Aman's post too, this just showcases how fucktarded our gun laws are. The thing is, the registry was an easy thing to get rid of, it was a much more universally hated thing. The antis have too much a foothold in the media to the point where they can't unban anything without the media trying to claim they're trying to encourage mass shootings and giving "assault rifles" to babies. It's disgusting, really, the kind of horrid institutional bias the media has against guns, and how they love to peddle the message of the Coalition for Gun Control almost exclusively.
I never understood banning anything by name. As much as I disagree with banning things, at least ban them by function, for fucks sake. In my state of Australia, instead of banning cars for probationary (new) drivers by power to weight ratio like every other damn state, they instead made a list of banned cars and banned cars with V8 engines (straight 8s are ok, same with larger engines like V10s and 12s) [editline]3rd January 2013[/editline]
En Blocs/Garands have a named exemption from mag caps. Hell, even for motorcycles they didn't impose bans, they just tell you you can't ride at night on the lowest level, and that you can't go on the freeway. The government here figures that insurance companies will do a good enough job banning kids from getting big/fast cars/bikes by charging them twice the value of the vehicle a year in insurance.

Must display "P" plates. 0 blood alcohol P2 - Restricted vehicles like P1s. Less passenger and night-time restrictions, one state has a 90km/h limit for them. Does not need to display plates in my state, some do need to though. 0 blood alcohol Full licence - No restrictions, can go up to the speed limit (except in NT where country roads have no limit), 0.05 blood alcohol limit
I prefer the Latin American way: You can get your driver's license at 18 and you're allowed to drive anything, anywhere, any time. No courses required, the test is going around the block with an instructor and a piss easy 30 question exam. I stalled the car 3 times and got the license anyway :v: EDIT: My grandmother is heavily short-sighted and bought a license for 50$
In Canada driving is handled individually by each province. In Ontario it goes: G1: Learner's Permit. Must have a licensed driver beside you in the passenger's seat, can't go on freeways with speed of 80km/h or greater unless the person in the passenger's seat is a licensed driving instructor. Can't drive at night. 0 blood alcohol. Lasts minimum 12 months, 8 if you take a government approved driving course. Can get it at 16, but I keep hearing they're trying to raise it to 18. G2: Restricted License. Can drive wherever, but can't have more than 1 passenger who is not a relative in the car between the hours of midnight and 5AM in the first 6 months of the license, and no more than 3 after. 0 blood alcohol. Lasts minimum 12 months. G: Full License. 0.08 blood alcohol limit federally, but your car is impounded and your license suspended for 30 days is you have over 0.05. Needs renewal every 5 years, no test required until you're 80, but they make you pay for the new card and update the photo. There's also the "Under 22 Law" that bans anyone with a G who is under 22 from driving with any blood alcohol, meaning they can't even have 1 beer and drive. This law is actually unconstitutional, defying section 15(1) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but the Liberals seldom care about the constitution they enacted unless it benefits them in some way, if it doesn't they ignore it. The problem with repealing it is someone essentially needs to be a martyr and get charged under it. They also do things called R.I.D.E. stop programs, which are random DUI checks that cops will set up and just randomly screen people driving by. Many people feel this also defies the Charter, breaching the security from unreasonable search or seizure, but again challenging it requires a martyr, money, and time. As for license plates, it doesn't matter what level of license you're at, you get the same plates. The only people with different plates are car dealers and diplomats. We should probably get back on topic now.

well shit

About to seal a deal for a AMT Hardballer for my Carbine who this dude carried one in Vietnam. Good?
1. Hardballers are the Chauchat of the pistol world 2. "Carried one in Vietnam" should be a massive red flag
Yeah, while soldiers did carry a 1911 in Vietnam, it was a Colt. Certainly not an AMT. Which is the budget brand for 1911s.
I got a hardballer and while it's fun and works I still wouldn't recommend getting one
No I meant the dude carried a Carbine in Vietnam. What's really wrong with them? I heard they're not perfect but not too bad.
Ugh, "Gay_idiot" is competing with Sobotnik in my mind for most retarded and annoying poster
His name does have "idiot" in it.
Literally had a deal for a FAL worked down then said he can't wait until Saturday to sell to me
Oh man, just got christmas money from the other side of my family. $450 now in my pocket and I'm seriously eyeballing a K-31. I know I can get one with VG-Excellent rifling, 80% blue and some dings in the stock for $300 but I want to see if I can find a shop locally that has one even if it's a little more. Is $300 a fair price to be looking for for a K-31 right now? I know I asked before but I dunno what exactly the panic buying would do to their prices.
Seems about right. The going rate for K31s is about $275 - $325
Shit, congress pushing for mag cap ban bill within the week.
