I'd buy it in half a heartbeat if it were in 9x18 or 7.62x25

Why 9x18?
One in 7.62x25 would be badass though, and I'm sure it wouldn't be very hard to rebarrel one for it.

9x18 is way cheaper here and hot 9x18 packs a serious punch

Behold, the illusive ikea redneck. Zombies horde house at own risk, no lifeguard on duty.

are you new to guns, sir?
how did you not know the H&K Clockbox fired stupid caseless rounds?
They banned it here by name because of that. Granted it would probably have been banned for about 20 other reasons anyways given how shitty our government was about gun control.
seriously they banned the G11 by name? They only ever built around 1200 and all but like 100 were issued to either the US or German army for testing, and that 100 never left the HK factory
The firearm of the design commonly known as the Heckler and Koch (HK) Model G11 rifle, and any variant or modified version of it.
If I'm not mistaken, they banned one gun that only 20 had been made at the time, not sure which one. Hell, they also banned every gun Daewoo ever made, which was a Korean company and almost none of their guns made it here.
What's the point of banning a firearm that utilizes caseless ammunition?

Actually, that's what they did. No fucking joke. There was a Freedom of Information Request done to find out what criteria the government of the time used to ban guns, they found a magazine with guns in it, and all the "scary-looking" ones were circled. Most of them were later banned.
Silencers are banned because James Bond taught them that they'll make evil killing machines absolutely silent and nobody will ever hear them (info for those who are ignorant and browsing this thread; they don't).

Well.. Silencers actually do what their name says. They silence the gun. Generally all you can hear is the internal workings of the gun and the shells hitting the floor. Silencers however, are huge. I personally got to shoot a silenced Mp5 at a police range (Dad's a retired police/S.W.A.T officer) and I could hardly hear it shooting.
Suppressors are what a lot of movies and games use, however. They're by in large a safety mechanism. They make the gun a LITTLE quieter, but they don't completely silence it. They also tighten the muzzle flash, so you can literally shoot over someone's shoulder and you wouldn't hit them with muzzle flash.

If the bullet is supersonic, it makes too much of a noise breaking the sound barrier to be "silenced," and often movies/games exaggerate the power of silencers/suppressors. Neither work perfectly to deaden the sound.

That is true, you do need subsonic ammo for it to be completely silenced. Forgot to mention that
a 22lr rifle with subsonic ammo and a silencer is so quiet

And generally, the actions on a lot of self loading guns are pretty damn loud, my M1 Carbine will just about leave a ringing in your ears if you rack that thing fast enough and the 'SLAM' noise of the bolt on my SR-556 has made people jump a couple times.
Silencers take away the boom, subsonic takes away the crack.
I ran an AAC Ti-Rant on my 300 blackout... Good lord, those things are awesome. I'm seriously thinking of putting up with the 6 months wait and getting one.
