That fucking article. "Gun owners have nothing to worry about, youll just have to buy all new magazines that are heavily restricted in capacity and register your weapons" [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] It's cheaply made brazilian garbage.
It's sad too, because the Brazilian factory that makes the steel for SA is arguably the best steel manufacturer in the world.
Damn, I always thought the Raging Bull was one of my favorite looking revolvers. Ah well, there's always the M1895.
It's sad too, because the Brazilian factory that makes the steel for SA is arguably the best steel manufacturer in the world.
They're just a cheap company in my eyes. I mean fuck, they got away with literally copying the entire Beretta 92, but just changed the safety a little and somehow got away with it.
So if I do manage to line up a trade for my WASR10 for a Chippa Rhino, go for it y/n?
I wouldn't go for it. You could get a better gun for the current price of the WASR, and the Rhino seems weirdly built. It's double action, and the external hammer isn't actually a hammer, but used to cock the internal hammer. And it's made of aluminum.
give you $50 for it
Deal. And a bag of m&ms [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] Get a s&w model 29 if you want a awesome revolver
And I think the designer is fucking insane. He designed this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mateba_Autorevolver Seriously what the fuck is it.
Don't you dare Dis the Mateba
Deal. And a bag of m&ms
i have pretzel M&Ms, that cool?
It's like he completely missed the point of semi automatic weapons, The magazine.
It's like he completely missed the point of semi automatic weapons, The magazine.
Buying a modern revolver really isn't about practicality anymore.
There's just no logic. Why design it as a semi automatic weapon, if you're going to say fuck it and put a revolver cylinder on it?
Firstly, fun and firearms isn't about practicality. Secondly, some people prefer revolvers to semi automatics, whether it just be the feel or because they're typically less likely to jam. Plus a semi automatic revolver is literally the coolest thing ever. [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] Plus, it can be fired semi automatic, single action, or double action. So it's also an extra back up.
As for the Illinois ban bill, isn't that going to be shot down in the SC the same way the Chicago handgun ban was? And couldn't an injunction be filed to prevent it from becoming law until its constitutionality is determined? [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] Also, I agree that autorevolvers are practically useless and far too expensive for what they are, and that the functionality of an autorevolver is made redundant by buying a semi-auto mag-fed gun with more practicality, or just making a light double-action revolver. That said, I still want a Webley-Fosbery because it's old, rare, and weird.
Well this was 60$ well spent. [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/FQcuPV.jpg[/t] Finish does not match the rest of the gun (looks like its been spray painted), not flush with the barrel, and has a hard time loading all 6 shots. I hope CTD has a good return policy, if not atleast I have armslist.
My Remington 1100 had a factory extension that was like that. Extended just beyond the barrel. Had no problem getting 6 shots loaded in it, though. Could just be a new spring that needs to be broken in, like a new magazine.

They're actually banning pump-action rifles and completely banning handguns
I was reading the Illinois ban, and it looks like it's going to be worse than Australia. They're actually banning pump-action rifles and completely banning handguns
If none of Chicago, NYC, or DC can ban handguns, there's no way in hell Illinois can ban guns to the point of becoming England, especially not without a riot in front of the state legislature. [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] Also, Aman, here's an actual news link about Thompson: http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/sunnews/canada/archives/2013/01/20130104-180806.html
What stops an Illinois citizen of say, driving over to Wisconsin and buying an AR over there?
What stops an Illinois citizen of say, driving over to Wisconsin and buying an AR over there?
Absolutely nothing physically, but it is illegal.
What stops an Illinois citizen of say, driving over to Wisconsin and buying an AR over there?
The fact that getting caught with one is legally equivalent to rape or homicide. One under murder
Ok, armslist posting is up for my AK, wish me luck!
A Canadian and an Australian responding questions to a Chilean about American laws. Aren't we gun people adorable.
This is why I think the Rhino looks ugly. Every time I see this: [img_thumb]http://www.gunsumerreports.com/Chiappa_Rhino_60DS/Chiappa_Rhino_60DS_000.jpg[/img_thumb] It reminds me of the stupid trap guns like this: [img_thumb]http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server2900/abdb4/products/2229/images/12440/Picture_302__80337.1342638721.1280.1280.jpg[/img_thumb] And why the hell is the hammer on the top, but the barrel on the bottom? That just looks to me like more moving parts to fuck up and raise the cost, which is probably why a Charter Arms .357 is $500, a Taurus is $600, a S&W is $850, but this weird-ass thing is between $1100-1200.
Whenever I see a Rhino, I see this: Call me strange, but I just love the Mateba, it's so pretty.
Looks like a cool sci fi revolver
And I think that looks ugly, impractical, costs too much, and has a high potential for fucking up due to the small, complex moving parts that are largely redundant, especially when you could just get a S&W 629 for the same power and realistically the same functionality and that'll look better, too. At least the Webley-Fosbery doesn't look strange. [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ad/Webley-Fosbery_1837.jpg/800px-Webley-Fosbery_1837.jpg[/img_thumb]
I hate this. Now that I have an M1 Garand, all I can think about is how awesome it would be to own a WWII/Korea era 1911. Dat park finish HNNNGGG
I've always been partial to the .38 detective special myself.
I wouldn't buy a mateba because I think it's practical, I'd only be shooting paper with it anyways. I just think it's a really cool revolver with a really cool mechanism, I just wish it were more common so it wouldn't be as expensive.
I now know why the Rhino looks like the Mateba, they're designed by the same person.
