The Rhino just seems like it would fall apart after a while. It's made out of a cheap aluminum alloy.
What would be a really awesome 9mm handgun? I'm leaning towards a Beretta 92A1 at the moment but I want your opinions.
glock
Get a Walther P1 [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] Wow shit. The price has gone up by 100-200 dollars since I checked two months ago. [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] It's currently around 300-500 dollars.
I wanted a 92FS for the longest time. When I finally got to fire one, the long, spongy trigger turned me off instantly. The Glock 17 or 19 really is the best compromise between quality and affordability.
The Walther P1 is the post war police version of the Walther P38 by the way. [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] Huh. They used those pistols in Germany from the 50's till 2004. Long lifespan.
I wouldn't buy a mateba because I think it's practical, I'd only be shooting paper with it anyways. I just think it's a really cool revolver with a really cool mechanism, I just wish it were more common so it wouldn't be as expensive.
this guy owns a few rhinos, matebas and others. check out his reviews
Dude, if you want a revolver, go for a Python. You may have to throw some extra cash at it, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility. An Anaconda is another good choice, and they usually run cheaper than Pythons.

Browning Hi Power is the best choice IMHO
I wish we Yanks were able to import Chinese/Russian arms, I'd love to get my hands on some cheap-ass Carbines
I wish we Yanks were able to import Chinese/Russian arms, I'd love to get my hands on some cheap-ass Carbines
But think of the children!
I wish we Yanks were able to import Chinese/Russian arms, I'd love to get my hands on some cheap-ass Carbines
Give it a few years, AFAIK Russia just gaining WTO membership means that the voluntary export/import ban should be technically not allowed.
But think of the children!
Think of the capitalist industry!
Surprised you guys find the Rhino ugly, I find it sexy
What would be a really awesome 9mm handgun? S&W Model 29 is revolver master race. But I think I might be fine with a Model 25. [editline]5th January 2013[/editline] John Linebaugh's articles on the .45LC have convinced me it is on par with the .44 magnum and definitely the .357. [editline]5th January 2013[/editline] Oh and you guys remember that fantastic news paper that posted the locals of gun owners in New York? Well that little attempt at "improving public safety" has back fired. And anyone who still thinks this is a freedom of info thing, now others rights are threatened, not like any of us didn't see this coming. Here's what I'm on about: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/01/04/law-enforcement-latest-critics-on-public-display-gun-owner-data-officers/
CZ75s are exceptional pistols, however, there are TONS of tiny tiny little springs inside them. Side by side with the Browning GP, it's a real close call, but I'd lean a little towards the GP
Never had the privilege of firing a Browning HP. Definitely plan too shoot one at some point, if not own one.

I'm so jealous.
There's one company that sells the FS2000 here, the PS90 too. Funnily enough, they sell both in non-restricted models.
There's a place here in Idaho, one of those "far out inna woods" places that has a ton of hard to find rifles, guy has a couple AUGs, a FAMAS, FS2000 and PS90s. It's a weird place, because you're literally out in the woods, then you see this little shop that has like, plates, mugs, candles and stuff like that, then you walk to the back and there's a ton of guns back there, even has a few .50 BMG rifles and a Ma Deuce. :v:

Any remote chance you can get pics?

That's like all the gun stores around me! Except for Hoffman's which is like a three hour drive from where I live. [editline]5th January 2013[/editline] All two of the gun stores near me.
I can't stop fondling my 1911. I've wanted one for as long as I can remember and now I have one Just keep playing with the slide, putting in the mag, pulling the hammer back. It's seriously the most badass pistol ever
I have never fired a better handgun than a CZ 75B.
I've been eyeballing a 75B since forever. Why is it so good?
Sounds like something out of a goddamned videogame. Any remote chance you can get pics?
It's not a place you really pop into for a visit seeing as it's a days ride to get there, I go there once a year at most, and that's only because it's on the way to and from where I go camping. The owner is a bit of a nutter too, would probably see me out the door at gunpoint if I so much as asked to take a picture.
I've been eyeballing a 75B since forever. Why is it so good?
As my friend puts, "It's God tier". When I was last shooting he had a Glock, a M&P, a 1911, and a CZ75B. My opinion is that a Glock makes you look good, and for me is easiest to hit with, an M&P is a bitch to hit with because of the trigger but has the least amount of felt recoil, at least to me, and with practice I can understand why police departments are moving to it in my area. A 1911 is nice, but it just doesn't fill my hand and I find it hard to shoot, it's a Remington R-1 by the way. The CZ is simply majestic, it feels amazing in hand and shoots like a dream. I just spent ten minutes trying to figure out how to describe it and, well, I can't think of any way to adequately describe it. It's just right... you'd have to try one to really get what I'm saying. That said ymmv. That describes everything about my local shop! Tell me does he have reasonable prices except for $260 Nagants? Fucking loonies!
I have a chippa rhino and a mateba, yes both of them. I love them both to death but the grip is really awkward on both when you first bring them out but you start to get used to it. I payed about 800$ for the mateba and around 900 for the rhino, i love them both but ammo is getting scarce as it is, i would be carrying the rhino with me but alas it's too small (i have the 6" variant) when you cock the rhino its sorta flimsy and i think i almost broke it though, don't know if its just mine or everyones. [editline]5th January 2013[/editline]
So Nuclearanihlation's armslist shenanigans have inspired me to try and put up my WASR10 AK on armslist since AK's prices are through the roof. I've got an RPK so it's pointless for me to have this WASR10 right now. But before I put it up though, considering it has a slidefire stock on it, what do you guys think I could get for it? I'd be A-OK with cash, but I'd like to get a nice 1911 or a chippa rhino or something. What would be reasonable to ask for?
i keep saying chippa because of you now
