I have 2 plate carriers and 4 plates, neither one weighs more than 15 pounds or so
Still very heavy, I don't think I'd ever wear it for survival.
Anyway, I think I'm going to take a crack at doing a group picture.
It'd be pretty wicked if you did that, I'd stick it in the OP!
Anyway, here's my finalized setup based off all shit that I have

So, my friend and I were talking about neat setups for Ar-15's that we would want if we could buy them. He came up with one using the HK416 gas system and receiver with tactical stuff everywhere.. and I came up with this (try and ignore the crappy photoshop job):

He thinks I'm nuts.. :v:
Personally.. I love the idea of an A2 styled AR with wood furniture. I made another with an A4 styled upper with the removable carry handle, which.. to me.. still looked kinda cool. I also really like the M203 handguard, but admittedly.. I've never actually seen one on an Ar-15. Not sure where you'd get one/the specifications for one to make one out of wood.. but I still think it would be awesome.
NoDak Spud sells the prototype AR handguards for $35 a set.

Nothing more A2 styled I guess..? That's a bit of a bummer.

Why do you own 4 plates?

Mmmmm, finally managed to get a picture of my P6 with their new wood grips. lookit them sexy wood grips, donno 'bout you guys, but I love the feel of wood over plastic
[sub][sub]nohomo[/sub][/sub]
Seems everyone here ('cept me) loves wood over plastic. Personally I prefer plastic for guns that should have it and wood for guns that should have it (though I do like both plastic and wooden AKs)
Why do you own 4 plates?
replacements? if one of the plates takes a hit that significantly reduces it's effectiveness
[editline]7th January 2013[/editline]
if anything you should be more worried about me owning 2 carriers because I can only wear one at a time

Correction: why do you own plates and carriers at all?
Correction: why do you own plates and carriers at all?
when you go to every single gun show in the tri-county area for 10 years you sort of just amass all this cool shit that you don't really need

Sounds pretty good. Not sure if it's illegal in Australia. I know bullet resistant vest are, but plates may escape it on a technicality
It's that time again folks!
...
Is anyone here selling a handgun in Arizona?

P-Please? I'll take cheap slavshit, anything!
How much do you think I could get/credit for trade for my Norinco SKS With two 30 round mags, a 20 round Tapco, and original 10 round floorplate setup, and a 2-6x scope as pictured.

What about a PSL-54C with 8 10 round Mags, and a POSP 6x Scope with dual rangefinder? Same thing, sell price and credit trade price.

Thanks guys,
Also, whoever found that Mosin trigger pin for me, THANK YOU!
You could probably jack the price up quite a bit on the PSL and someone would still buy it cause of hurr durr gun scare
So I was browsing a website by the name of weaponsguild.com and I came across a little something.

It's a Mosin Nagant.
I think I like it.

I wonder it it uses the same "Second trigger on a string" mechanism the AK bullpups had
Anyone know what it's called?
Anyone know what it's called?
What, the Nagant bullpup conversion? It's a personal kit done by someone on the board that (regrettably) doesn't really feel like reproducing it for the masses.
[editline]7th January 2013[/editline]
Also I think the barrel might be floating, not too sure.

Damn, I think I like their SKS bullpup kit more, it looks sexy

EXACTLY <3
Also Sobotnik is among us, we are not worthy :v:
[editline]7th January 2013[/editline]
Also the lifting-lid design for the Nagant bullpup is annoying as shit, why would you not just give the bolt a slotted path to follow?
Imagine finding that on a dead militant in some back ally county, I would trip shit at first.
I'd nab it :v:
Also if I ever buy that kit I'm making my own damn front grip, that thing looks like a door wedge.

if it were a slotted path then you couldn't use stripper clips
if it were a slotted path then you couldn't use stripper clips
In that case, I think I'd personally exclude the top part altogether. It seems like it would get irritating, having that thing flap around every time you bring the bolt back.

but then your cheek weld would be against the bolt
what they need is a detachable magazine
So are they made by some guy or sold somewhere?
