i want my first apartment when i move out of my dorm to have like military gun racks in my closet or like have my guns hanging on my walls
If we're comparing rooms, I'm trying to come up with a design for a bench/couch that has a hidden compartment for a horizontal rifle rack, sort of like one of those comfortable benches with the embedded cushions. Any suggestions? [editline]8th January 2013[/editline] I'm talking unlocking mechanisms and things, btw. I'm not entirely sure how I can hide something like that.
Just get one of those chests that double as a bench. Throw some cloth and cushions on there, and shwazam.
How much do you think I could get/credit for trade for my Norinco SKS With two 30 round mags, a 20 round Tapco, and original 10 round floorplate setup, and a 2-6x scope as pictured. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6688244/pictures/2012-11-04%2020.08.48.jpg[/t] What about a PSL-54C with 8 10 round Mags, and a POSP 6x Scope with dual rangefinder? Same thing, sell price and credit trade price. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6688244/pictures/2012-11-16%2000.10.59.jpg[/t] Thanks guys, Also, whoever found that Mosin trigger pin for me, THANK YOU!
Never do a trade in. A shop will give you half the lowest price on gunbroker for it. So you're looking at around $120 for the SKS and maybe $600-700 for the PSL.
Whats the best type of body armor?
Whats the best type of body armor?
ceramic plates?
Whats the best type of body armor?
there is no best type. Type IV is the most resistant to high-powered rounds but isn't very good if you're going to be taking a bunch of bullets. Type III is best at taking a bunch of bullets but won't stop AP rounds. Type IIA is generally lightest (other than class I, but that hasn't been part of the standard for years) but only protects against light handgun rounds. Mine is Type IIIA, which is what most police officers wear.
Whats the best type of body armor?
Depends what you're doing. If the threat is handguns then you go with soft body armour. If it's rifles then soft body armour is useless and you need plates. In other news, the media have discovered bump firing: http://www.slate.com/blogs/crime/2013/01/07/slide_fire_this_simple_legal_add_on_lets_an_ar_15_fire_900_rounds_per_minute.html
I've asked over and over again, and I feel bad asking one more time, but I got info on this M1 Carbine I have a chance to buy. It's a Universal, and has no bayonet lug, but it has the adjustable sights and a flip type safety. What's the verdict? Here's a picture: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/GvH8h.jpg?1[/thumb] Thumb'd
what's the price?
Universal is on my "avoid at all costs" list, right next to Auto Ord.
Universal is pretty much bottom of the barrel when it comes to M1 carbines. They have all sorts of mismatched parts of questionable spec and durability.
Oh wow I thought they were all worth 7-1000 dollars and they were all more or less equal, except for the shit repros made today. I put a mint Serbian M44 Mauser/bayonet/75 round 8 mil/cash if need be on the table to get it. DAMN This changes everything, thanks guys. OH GOD DAMMIT It has a heat shield upper too... RIP not buying
Universal is on my "avoid at all costs" list, right next to Auto Ord.
What's wrong with auto ord? The fact it's a repro gun or that it has a long break in period?
Got a new desk (see workbench) for Christmas, just setting it up.

So what is the big deal about M1 Carbines? Why do people pay so much money for them?
What's wrong with auto ord? The fact it's a repro gun or that it has a long break in period?
The fact that they're absolute garbage and not made to spec [editline]7th January 2013[/editline]
So what is the big deal about M1 Carbines? Why do people pay so much money for them?
Band of Brothers made demand skyrocket and therefore so did prices [editline]7th January 2013[/editline] aside from the fact that they're awesome little guns
I want those two guns more than any other thats ever been posted in the Firearms thread...
Well, in this current market I can only do 8,000 dollars up front for just the AK. The Nagant pistol I can let go for maybe 600 bucks.
I want those two guns more than any other thats ever been posted in the Firearms thread...
you can buy mine if you want :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/jWpgj.jpg[/t]
you can buy mine if you want :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/jWpgj.jpg[/t]
I don't take kindly to you sir.
The fact that they're absolute garbage and not made to spec [editline]7th January 2013[/editline] They are garbage because they are jam-o-matics, lack the bayonet lug, have flip sights, mags fall out, ect. Just why are those guns garbage? Band of Brothers made demand skyrocket and therefore so did prices [editline]7th January 2013[/editline] aside from the fact that they're awesome little guns

I don't take kindly to you sir.
undercutting the competition is my specialty! hehehehe
They are garbage because they are jam-o-matics, lack the bayonet lug, have flip sights, mags fall out, ect. Just why are those guns garbage?
They're garbage because they're made out of poor quality cast parts, which are not made to USGI specs (in terms of dimensions, tolerances, hardness etc.) and they don't function reliably. And they cost as much (or more in some cases) than a real USGI carbine
The only reason people buy the reproductions up here is because they made some with 19" barrels so they'd be non-restricted.
you can buy mine if you want :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/jWpgj.jpg[/t]
I'll give you two chickens and a sack of potatoes... and bottle of vodka.
Been searching for a .22 lately and went to several gun shops today. They sold an 802 Plinkster, nice little fun rifle, for the price of... 460$ [editline]8th January 2013[/editline] Kill me.

I think tomorrow I'm going to bring my Lee Enfield to the range, and if anyone is there I'm going to "forget" to tell them it's only a .22 :v:
You have a Lee Enfield trainer? Is it a No.2, No.7 or No.8?
