Oh man. Prices are hilarious. I'm seeing basic 10/22 models going for 400 dollars and even saw some 150 dollar 22's go for over twice their prices. Are people really that stupid to buy without even googling?

Was looking at ar lowers just before the shit started to fly and found a listing on a forum, lowers for 90 bucks.... just got linked from a friend a post on the same forum for the same lowers at 150 a piece... lol fear mongering at its finest.
Yeah I'll wait a few months until this shit dies down again before anyone sees a cent of my money. I want a 10/22 bad but they've been price gouging those nearby, and I ain't definitely buying a 10/22 for $400.
What are the average prices of 22lr revolvers? Before the scare and such.
What are the average prices of 22lr revolvers? Before the scare and such.
I'd guess probably $450, depends on if you're looking for a single or a double action, used or new, what brand, etc. Also, if you're moving to Canada (I recall you mentioning that), then barrel length of at least 4.2" (or to be more precise, 106mm or greater).
450? Shit. They're all like over 650 right now. Fucking capitalism.
Charter Arms Target Pathfinder is still $450 up here, that's just the first one that came to mind for me.
What are the average prices of 22lr revolvers? Before the scare and such.
There is a company that makes single actions that are really inexpensive, that said I can't speak to quality... here is a link, http://www.impactguns.com/cimarron-plinkerton-model-22-long-rifle-475in-matte-black-finish-asplink-844234107339.aspx Heritage Arms also makes SA models.
Oh wow. That looks fun. [editline]8th January 2013[/editline] Are the Heritage arms ones double/single?
Oh wow. That looks fun. [editline]8th January 2013[/editline] Are the Heritage arms ones double/single?
Most of what I've found is single only, I would look around Impact Guns cause they generally have the best format for their site even if their prices can be on the high side.
I stumbled upon some M1 carbine clones in 22lr, anyone have any experience with them?
They're supposed to be pretty good, I almost bought one myself but couldn't justify the price they were asking.
I'd bet you can get a M1 Carbine stock for a 10/22
I'd bet you can get a M1 Carbine stock for a 10/22
You can, a friend of mine was looking into this a few months ago. Seems like a much better idea.
I'd bet you can get a M1 Carbine stock for a 10/22
you can, pretty convincing ones too [t]http://talbotsfineaccessories.com/Guns/CARBINES.JPG[/t]
Depends on how much the Stocks are. From what I've seen, the M1 clones are generally 280-400 depending on maker and stock type.
I don't get why people get all upset about price inflation, it's a completely normal and healthy economic process: More demand over a rigid supply.
Price inflation is fine. Double in prices over night are stupid shit.
I don't get why people get all upset about price inflation, it's a completely normal and healthy economic process: More demand over a rigid supply.
People don't like prices doubling overnight and everything going scarce for stupid reasons.
People don't like prices doubling overnight and everything going scarce for stupid reasons.
So people should be blaming themselves and other buyers, not the sellers ffs
I don't get why people get all upset about price inflation, it's a completely normal and healthy economic process: More demand over a rigid supply.
Because it makes sane people wait longer to get what they want. A lot of people are panic buying because of the ban thats not going to pass, so stores are raising their prices by insane amounts (I'm looking at you cheaperthandirt) and they're getting away with it. When I visited gunshops in Florida while I was out of town, I saw 400$ mosins, 600$ for sporterized carcanos, and 4 grand for some .308 AR-15, as well as 40 and 50$ for plastic AK and AR mags. This shit is just insane.
Price inflation is fine. Double in prices over night are stupid shit.
We don't know how much more demand there is. Probably prices didn't increase enough considering there's no stock anywhere.
I stumbled upon some M1 carbine clones in 22lr, anyone have any experience with them?
The Erma ones are p. nice
I don't get why people get all upset about price inflation, it's a completely normal and healthy economic process: More demand over a rigid supply.
there's a difference between price inflation and price gouging [editline]8th January 2013[/editline]
We don't know how much more demand there is.
there's a difference between price inflation and price gouging
If you're not pricing to maximize profits, you're doing charity.
If you're not pricing to maximize profits, you're doing charity.
if you're overcharging, you're sending your business elsewhere. there are plenty of places that aren't jacking up the prices that are doing just fine
there's plenty of stock at brick and mortar stores, it's just the online places that are selling out
Then save money and buy there. [editline]8th January 2013[/editline]
if you're overcharging, you're sending your business elsewhere
If you're overcharging you won't sell a thing, and I'm pretty sure they're selling stuff like crazy.
you can, pretty convincing ones too [t]http://talbotsfineaccessories.com/Guns/CARBINES.JPG[/t]
Which brand is that?
