I support free market as a system of goods allocation.
You can't increase supply overnight sadly. You need to build extra factories, hire more people, invest more money, etc. and that takes time. Jacking up prices is a stop-gap equilibrium.
If this demand holds over time, supply [I]will[/I] increase and prices [I]will[/I] return to normal, likewise, if demand goes back to normal and supply stays the same, prices will return to normal too.

If it isn't the guy who kind of wanted an AR but now can't buy it because the price is too high, it's the guy that really wanted one but can't get it since he didn't get in line fast enough. The real question is which scenario is preferable and why.
