not sure why they'd want to downgrade, but yay more hps for sale!
Because a Glock is Idiot proof and holds more ammo/more modular?
not sure why they'd want to downgrade, but yay more hps for sale!
because a glock is an objectively better service pistol
I'd rather have a High Power, honestly.
Nothing against Glocks but I have a hard time getting over the aesthetics and general feel of the pistol. They just don't feel very ergonomic to me.
they're ugly as sin but we're talking service pistols. pretty is not a requirement
Of course. My gripe is more in the ergonomics department. That dinky little slide release they have, particularly. They have a nice grip angle compared to, say, a 1911 but the grip itself just doesn't fit my hand very well.
well your hands are wrong
Fuck yourself kindly, good sir. My hands are the finest in all the kingdom.
Fuck yourself kindly, good sir. My hands are the finest in all the kingdom.
Id the kingdom your bedroom?
Fuck yourself kindly, good sir. My hands are the finest in all the kingdom.
apparently they aren't if they don't like the feel of a glock
if you've only tried the ones with finger grooves, try an older one without them. the grooves don't quite fit my hand either.
How much is a National Postal Meter M1 carbine with flip safety/adjustable rear sight/bayonet lug in average condition worth?
[sp]I bought one[/sp]
Don't even think about plugging the barrel or swapping out functioning parts on a National Postal Meter M1.
I will find you, and I will restore your gun to original condition while you sleep.
[editline]11th January 2013[/editline]
Also how much did it cost? I want an M1 Carbine so bad but they're so stupidly expensive. It would go so well with my 1911, 1903A3 and M1 Garand.
I've been thinking about getting a 1903A4 how is your A3

I was brainstorming up a way to build a bolter pistol too...
Mill, need mill... and lathe...
Just had a friend tell me that they'd be willing to buy something and then do a private transaction to legally get it to me.
That... that is legal, right? :v:
If so, FUCK YEAH
my gripes:
internal hammer
they're glocks
PSL Bros! What receiver did you use? I always wanted one of the Nodak Flat backs...
I used a Nodak for the AKM, TGI receiver for the PSL. I had to do some work to the TGI, not the best receiver out there.
Flocks are ugly as sin and the ergonomics are terrible. As well, I'm not sure how well they'd perform getting full of sand and mud and shit. The requirements of a police force are vastly different than a military, and I'm not sure Glock would be such a good choice for an army.
Glocks bore me.
I honestly can't think of anything great or terrible about them, they just seem like one of those generic pistols that come to mind when you think "handgun"
I've had a few drunken conversations at the pub with friends and when the topic comes up the only thing they can see as an advantage is that it can go through some metal detectors.Which is a load of horse-shit from the 80's when they first arrived on the scene and people got scared because of it's plastic frame.
I'd prefer a Sig P226 over a Glock but only because I feel I can control it better. On the other hand, they cost 3x as much as a Glock so that would be a significant factor for an army
The thing about Glocks is that they're like your average Toyota:
Reliable, reasonably priced and does the job. But they're as fun as watching paint dry.

woo russian surplus
That's what I love about Russian Surplus, the packs of rounds all wrapped, stacked into a metal tin, then put into a wooden crate, everything's so perfectly fit in
What do you do with those crates and cans after you've used all the ammo?
I'd love a bunch for storage

Reminds me of a local camping shop that sold .50 Ammo cans, I should've bought some :v:
I have never met an uglier gun than a Glock, that said, I have never shot a gun so well, so quickly as with a Glock. It is an amazing little pistol.
I got a bunch of PMC 300 Win Mag for 16$ a box at work that I found in the back... I picked up 260 rounds of it. It was the last bit the distributor had so they wanted to just get rid of it.
I about creamed myself when I got home and tested some of the stuff, good shit.
We are now the proud owners of an all original Swedish Oberndorf rifle made in 1900. It's pretty sweet, can't wait to fire it.
I will never own a glock. Ill take a sig or HK though

My favorite Mauser, you won't be disappointed, those are some smooth shooting rifles.

Depends, what are they selling to you, can you not buy it yourself, and how old are you? It's probably a straw deal, but I won't tell anyone ;)

I just keep the empty cans and crates in my closet as storage. I had my socks on one of the spam cans at one point.
Now that FN has a striker fired handgun, I have no desire at all to own a Glock

I'm assuming it's a handgun and he's under 21. I too have considered this, my brother's 21 but I am only 19, but god damn I want a hand nugget and while they're still 100 bucks (I don't care about ammo so much, more for my collection than anything).

Depending on the state, I'm pretty sure it's legal if you get a parent to buy it for you, or if you buy it through private sale.
