If you aren't 21 then you can't have NFA items period.
You'd have to transfer it to a guardian, who would then transfer it to you once you turn 21.
Also, there's a good chance it's transferrable. There are no post-sample or pre-sample MAC's, they were all registered the moment the receiver flat left the cutting die. Plus illegally converted ones are extremely rare these days, given the rarity of the open bolt MAC's.
yeah thats why I didn't go for it, because I have no one that would be willing to have it transferred to them. I was still suspicious of it, it IS armslist, I got a good feeling the guy would have let me walk away with the suppressor without transferring it or anything.

Israeli FAL is best FAL.
Israeli FAL is best FAL.
Belgium FAL's are kinda master race though...
Israeli FAL is best FAL.
Yes, yes it is.
fals are pretty great
Also, I've got a 3D printer. Should I dare try printing an AR15 part just to see how it comes out?
EDIT;
And if I get it tuned enough and anybody wants one, I might hook you up with one for free. Most likely ABS plastic in black. Because all my PLA is bright colors or transparent. Or silver/gold

Wood looks pretty good on CETME's/G3's too.

Try making magazines :D

He has a really good point here. "Liberals" (I hate that word in this context but whatever) are so determined to hate guns they sound as retarded as Conservatives normally do

Torture test a magazine, I want to see how well they stand up to abuse

it might work in .22lr if a few of the parts are actual metal. There was a group a while back that made a 3d printed lower in 9mm, but it fell apart pretty quickly.
EDIT:
magazines though, mag AR mags, sell them for 10$, make millions.

plasitc AR lowers work with .22 conversions

It takes hours to make a magazine on a 3d printer
We don't have an AR yet. Once I get the heatbed going so I can do ABS, I'll print a few demo ones for you guys to play with. If they work nice I'll sell them for like $10 but do a deal with anybody on this forum for just the cost of the material

considering time, material, and the effort needed to make it, what would you estimate the total cost to be?

I'd take one, a dedi .22LR would be nice
is it possible to embed metal into a 3D printed thing? like printing over a metal frame or something
Effort is minimal. Material is $21/lb for black and $20/lb for uncolored. I'll go slice a mag and approxamate the amount of material used and get back to you
considering time, material, and the effort needed to make it, what would you estimate the total cost to be?
More than a PMAG

No :(
No :(
maybe I'll just get one of those fancy 3d printers that do metal someday then

I've heard people have had success with printed magazines.
http://defcad.org/ar-15-magazine-30-round-mag/
Maybe one of these days I'll get a 3D printer...
It'd be really cool to print out some of my 3D work that I've done in Max and Zbrush anyway.
Does anyone have any other sources for possible AR-15 A1 lowers?

It's not enough to feed reliably, it needs to be able to do it for a long time. I wouldn't expect it to survive being driven over, but it should be tough enough to hit against a table a few times and not break. ABS plastic can break pretty easily, so unless there's a tougher material that it can be printed from (which im sure there is) I wouldn't count on it for continuous reliable use. It would be more of a novelty.

Which is why I would sell them here for literally the cost of material. And if I use the free material I got from engineering, then its free for you guys too.

Here is a link of it printing. This was the 5th print, I'm still improving overall quality. Its getting better as I go on though
Was your 3D Printer a custom job, or was it a kit?
If so, can we get a parts list?
I might pick up an 80% AR and mill it out myself. 80% stuff doesn't really get hit by panic buying so it's still cheap and easy to find online.

How much milling is required? Is it just drilling out a hole here and there?
Was your 3D Printer a custom job, or was it a kit?

Oh boy. Its extensive, mine was built piece by piece since I self sourced things to save money. Also, since I am an engineering student I got some free stuff so my build was around $650. A lesser model of the same family runs $600, and I could see my design running $750 at the most. A Bill of Materials is available here, my spreadsheet is a lot more confusing than that; https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7ixiryswbHETnZnRkJ3SUdsclk/edit (Assembly instructions, look from page 6 on for material list)
Oh, and the price for on of those mags? $1.20 so far. Slicing follower and floorplate
How much milling is required? Is it just drilling out a hole here and there?
You can get jigs that means you can do it with just a bench press drill
Total price of a mag with Follower, Plate, and Body comes to $2.04 printed at 0.1mm layer height with support and a raft to avoid warping
How much milling is required? Is it just drilling out a hole here and there?
mill out the fire control group, drill the hole for the trigger pin, hammer pin, and selector switch, and cut the slot for the trigger
jigs cost around $100 and thanks to those you can do the entire thing with just a drill press
