at what point should you stop trying to get the cosmoline out of your mosin nagant stock?
Just before it burst into glorious sovjet flames.
at what point should you stop trying to get the cosmoline out of your mosin nagant stock?
I don't think it's possible. I've put 600 rounds through my first mosin and it still boils cosmoline out when I take it out too shoot.
Kind of want to find an SKS before the government decides to ban them.
Don't worry as long as your SKS isn't -black -has a pistol grip -looks scary -Has a STANDARD magazine capacity of 30 or so -Has a collapse-able stock Then they can't trick people into wanting to ban it. Initial legal setup costs (registering a business, FFLs, ITAR rego etc) - $10k Initial equipment to develop prototypes (CNC mills, lathes, workstation computers, simple tools) - $100-200k Renting a property/warehouse per month - $5k Paying wages - $5-20k a month That's just a start
at what point should you stop trying to get the cosmoline out of your mosin nagant stock?
HellSoldier come start a gun company with me <3
Not really, 20k or so for a good cnc mill and drill press and stamping gear, another 3k for the raw materials, and another 2k for monthly operating costs. Once you get the appropriate paperwork done, you can expect to be ready to go for under 30k
It's not the manufacturing that's the hard part. It's getting the paperwork.
You would probably need to pay off the US' entire debt to be legally allowed to reproduce some of those weapons I would have thought though?

Why do you think the mausers bolt action is used in everything?
Well, never mind then. I had assumed the designs would have still been owned by someone for another eternity.
If someone would show me how to build guns, I would work there! :v:
HellSoldier come start a gun company with me <3
move to canada pls
If someone would show me how to build guns, I would work there! :v:
The basic concept is quite simple really. It's just that creating something of quality is a different matter.
i know its not that accurate buuuuutt lets just say i somehow found a A1 parts kit but slapped on a modern lower would that work?
If someone would show me how to build guns, I would work there! :v:
It's the other way around.
You need to pay peoples wages to reverse engineer the guns we'd be building. Also, many of these guns use stamped parts and stamping dies are really expensive, at least 10k a set In other news, I responded to a guy on youtube who was saying every one should join the NRA. When I said the NRA were useless and hadn't achieved anything in 20 years I had a few people who automatically assumed I must be an anti-gun person trying to trick them all or some crap
not if you mill the dies yourself, you've got a fucking CNC machine.
I thought I should let you guys know that some gun dealers up in Minot are selling AR-15's for $750: Bisman Online
gee golly gosh i wish after my weeks of job hunting i could get a job so i could immediately buy guns with my pay
quick mosin nagant problem: after cleaning it of cosmoline and lubing up the goodie bits ive run into a problem while firing the gun a lot of the time, when i fire the gun (i can feel the trigger break) it will only make the bolt move backward a small amount and it will not fire on the second trigger pull the gun will usually fire as normal or i may have to pull the trigger a few more times it'd be nice to have some insight on the issue
I got a bag of potatoes and a Volkswagen golf, what can I do
Brethren!
I hate myself for wanting one.
Not gonna lie, I'm seriously considering one of these right now.
I think I'm just gonna wait for those guys making the 10-round floor-plate magazine :v:
I hate myself for wanting one.
They should put an AK side rail on the side, so you can mount SVD or PSL scopes on it.
Alright guys. I need a bolt carrier group that isn't 900$. I can't find a GOOD one for my high end build anywhere. Any suggestions on where to get one?
did i ever tell you guys my friend owns a 1942 svt 40 from tula bought it for $700
Did I ever tell you that so do I? Bought it for $320, shipped to my front door. [editline]18th January 2013[/editline]
move to canada pls
Then come start a gun company with me, I'm already in Canada pls.
I'd bring my CNC Plasma cutter, but no farther than Alberta. :v: Someone else is gonna have to handle the paperwork and politics though, I just make stuff.
