I'd keep it for a little longer with the way things are right now. UNLESS you get an insanely good price.
So.
Taking some cash and my STG-58 (Austrian FAL) to the gunshow to sell tomorrow.
Hoping to sell it off, get some more cash, and buy something or a couple things nice. :)
I'll miss the old STG-58. But I only have put 4 mags through it and it never sees any use from me. So, hopefully it'll go to a good home.
Now is the right time to sell to get your money's worth but hell i would never sell a FAL :c
so an ultra conservative friend of mine just sent me this, thought you guys might get a kick out of it

trapping is already illegal afaik
I know Mosin Nagant prices are going up, but isn't 380 dollars a bit much, even for a Tula-made one with a hex receiver?

Depends on your state. I know VA (where I live) and PA (where my family and I hunt the most) both allow trapping for various animals. The difference is which states allow large game trapping (and yes, there are a few that still do.)
Also; that's a really nice buck; it'd be a shame to trap that with an over-sized mousetrap and ruin those horns, man!
7.62x25 is loaded anywhere between pretty close and twice as hot
The problem with the 7.62x25, is like getting into the AK vs. AR debate. The .45ACP is very much like the 7.62x39; it's a big, brutal, slower-moving projectile that hits and explodes upon entry. The 7.62x25 is much more like the lighter-weight cousin of the 5.56x45 NATO, in that it's built to be little, insanely fast moving, and to rip through everything, and leave little in the lines of damage upon soft-tissue within the first few inches of the wound cavity. I'd have to research the ballistics more of the x25 (I don't know them well, just going off what you have posted), but it looks like I'd still much prefer the ACP over the Nagant; but that's a personal preference.

Trapping legal in Virginia? Alright, time to dig a bunch of punji stick traps on protected land...
Haha. There are limitations to trapping, and being as I don't do it, I don't know enough about it. I just know that the two states I hunt in it is legal to do.
Investigators are also trying to determine who owns a number of guns that were found at the home, including a semi-automatic military-style rifle, the Associated Press news agency report
why
At least they called it by a proper name.
There is a thread in SH using an Australian news site that called it an assault rifle.
Gold plated guns looks like shit. I can dig nickle plated though.

Hehe, one of my local gunshops made it on the news (in the video)
Damn. I want this. Wonder what the price would be. I want it mainly because I don't like the look of most synthetic stock break barrel guns.
http://www.crosman.com/airguns/rifles/break-barrel/30062
I personally want a Colt 1911 that was used in WWII.
Alright.
So, I went to the gunshow. Lots of high priced items and it was packed. Someone decided to accidentally shoot themselves in a negligent discharge yesterday so the media was there. Goody.
Anyways. Browsed through the usual over priced junk and looked at potential prices.
Oh, wait! You are still curious about my STG-58!
Right, so. I was packing up the STG-58 and the 200 round battlepack of ammo I have for it. I held her for one last time. As I held the great piece of fine weaponry I began to feel sadness. I then told myself...
No. I can not sell the right arm of the free world. It went back into the safe and stayed home.
I did, however. Find...someone...finally...selling one of these for the RIGHT price and not over priced.
This little guy followed me home along with plenty of food to feed him a while....

I could totally go for a copper plated 1911 if it didn't wear so badly. Course a browned 1911 would be pretty damn nice looking too, but I wouldn't want to be the one to do it, that'd be some serious pucker power during the whole process right there.

Ugh. Go away. It's like you don't even care about my feelings... Haha just kidding,, I'm super jealous how much did you get it for? Only decently priced ones at my gun show were dealer sales and so I couldnt buy one.
$115 for the Nagant. I know they run around 100 on AIM, but I would have ended up paying the same if not more going through an FFL and all that fun stuff. (I really need to just get my C&R...)
320 for the spam can. Pricey, but around the price they are going for these days. 1000 rounds of Nagant ammo should be enough to hold for a long...long time.

A thousand rounds of Nagant revolver ammunition will last you years, depending on how often you go to the range :v:
It's a six-round revolver that takes a goddamn half minute to reload.
From what I hear, you'll be so exhausted from pulling the trigger, you'll only get 20-40 rounds off in a range trip anyways! :v:

I was prepared to pay up to about 130 for a nagant yesterday haha. Congratulations. Year and factory?
Any estimates as to when NoDak Spud will be out of backorder?
