Tom Knapp is an incredible Marksman.
Who was I just talking to on Steam (not Shostakovich). My program crashed and I couldn't remember who I was talking to :v:
A thousand rounds of Nagant revolver ammunition will last you years, depending on how often you go to the range :v: It's a six-round revolver that takes a goddamn half minute to reload.
It's a 7-shot revolver.

[editline]21st January 2013[/editline]
The text that accompanied the picture- The rifle shown second from the top was the first variant, c. 1958, which is known as the "Sudanese" model because it was sold to Sudan. The one at top with the holes along the barrel sleeve was the second, or "transitional" model made in 1959 or 1960. There weren't very many of these made, and were made for Nicaragua, but the deal fell through - supposedly because the test gun's barrel blew up when Somoza test fired it - and many of these wound up in Canada via Peter Wilke at Ontario Guns in the 1980s and many of the AR-10s in the USA came from that batch. ETA: Some sources report that a batch of these was sold to Batista in Cuba, and fell into Castro's hands after La Revolucion. The gun on the bottom was the Portuguese variant, so-called because Portugal was the largest and possibly only buyer for it. Ironically, this was the product-improved version intended to be sold to NATO, but FN was better at politics and the FAL won the competition. The NATO gun was IMHO the best of the lot. The third gun has been adulterated (...) by the grafting-on of an AR-15 collapsible stock and is not authentic in that configuration.
So, here is a pic of the rifle with the new gas block and muzzle brake installed. Of course, the rear sight is missing it's adjustment knob because the knob's roll pin is currently in my thumb. Speaking of which, I should be having the pin cut out of my thumb tomorrow, at which point I can then put the adjustment knob back on my rear sight. lol Also guys, if you need any, here is a link for some reasonably priced AR mags: http://shop.lcjwholesalestore.com/30-ROUND-223-ALUMINUM-BLACK-ORANGE-FOLLOWER-30-ROUND-ALUMINUM-ORANGE.htm

Nice piece though
Why have some tan parts and a black gun unless you plan on duracoating it some somethin'. Nice piece though
I like the black gun, and I like the tan. My P226 is all black with tan grips as well. I just like the scheme.
Everywhere I go is out of Mosins. I found an Arisaka and a KAR98 though.

Wouldn't they... y'know, remove the roll pin when you went to the hospital to get it looked at?
Wouldn't they... y'know, remove the roll pin when you went to the hospital to get it looked at?
By doing it at a later date, they get multiple billable hours :)
Wouldn't they... y'know, remove the roll pin when you went to the hospital to get it looked at?
That thing would slice a bitch up getting pulled out. Leave some bit of metal in you, really bad. Surgery is best.
Near the end of my shift at work yesterday, I decided to re-organize our ammo overstock cases. Upon doing this, I discovered over half of our overstock is a variety of .270. Anyone know of any decent semi-auto 243 or 270 rifles? I'd really like a .40 pistol, but it's not going to be easy to find a private dealer I don't think. [editline]21st January 2013[/editline] Oh and on another note, what's the deal with the Mossberg 715T? It's the cheapest feeling Ar lookalike I've ever had the displeasure of handling. Not sure how it shoots, but it just feels bad. There's no discernible upper or lower, just one chunky piece of synthetic, lack of a dust cover, charging handle, and forward assist. On the last note, I couldn't even find the bolt release. The only nice thing about it is the bolt carrier knob, which is pretty easy to get a grip on unlike other semi-auto .22s (I always felt like that was the 10/22s worst feature)
The Mossberg 715 is their entry into the AR world designed off a silhouette of an AR, but never actually handling one.
That thing would slice a bitch up getting pulled out. Leave some bit of metal in you, really bad. Surgery is best.
Well if pulling it out was the solution then if I were in his shoes I'd have done it myself, but in most cases I've seen where something like that happens they've had on-the-spot surgery to remove it because it takes all of like 30 minutes to give them a local anesthetic and cut it open, take it out and sew it up.
Ban goes to congress tomorrow. Cross fingers.
http://dailycaller.com/2013/01/18/biden-to-nra-we-dont-have-the-time-to-prosecute-people-who-lie-on-background-checks/ Biden says we don't have time to enforce existing gun laws, but we have time to make new ones?
Should I bury my guns in a gun tube with silica packs, or wait 'till this shit blows over?
Should I bury my guns in a gun tube with silica packs, or wait 'till this shit blows over?
If you live in New York, go ahead. If you live anywhere else, you'll be fine.
So the rumors about 8x56r being literally the worst thing ever are true
Just got four buffer tubes from DSA  Huge props to them. Got my stuff out super fast.
So the rumors about 8x56r being literally the worst thing ever are true
The place I work at has some surplus of that stuff. Never shot any though.
Cleaning rod or bore snake?
Cleaning rod or bore snake?
Boresnakes are what I use after every range trip. I'll use a cleaning rod if I'm doing a full disassembly cleaning, like I did with my AK yesterday.
Cleaning rod or bore snake?
I use both. Boresnake first with a foaming cleaner, cleaning rod with patches and oil afterwards.
That thing would slice a bitch up getting pulled out. Leave some bit of metal in you, really bad. Surgery is best.
This, plus the depth would require an incision that can only be made in a sterile environment. The only surgeon available was the emergency surgeon who is there for life threatening stuff.

My new lower had a fuckton of dirt in it... Only was out of the box when it got to my FFL. What is this fuckery?
