Noooooo I just learned my uncle has a pump action .22 from fucking 1902. My anti-gun uncle. I want the damn thing so I can keep it safe and get it at least partially restored but he just lets it sit on the floor of his garage.
Antique .22s don't handle modern cartridges very well.
That seems odd. There SHOULD be a hazmat fee for live ammo.
No, just Black Powder. They'd never get away with classifying cartridges as a hazardous material like they did with BP.
no its not lol, quit being paranoid
I have reason to be, I live in Illinois. If a federal one doesn't go through, Emanuel will gladly make one for the state.
no its not lol, quit being paranoid
My state already went through with its AWB, I read most of it over and it is the definition of feel good legislation. I went to downtown Buffalo last Saturday and went to the rally for repealing it.
Don't worry Spork, I'm right behind you here in CT. Probably have a new AWB by the end of next month.
I have reason to be, I live in Illinois. If a federal one doesn't go through, Emanuel will gladly make one for the state.
In Illinois or New york, it's no surprise a non sense feel good bill passed. But a federal one will never get through.
I don't really want to go shooting it, I just want to keep it from getting destroyed because it's such a cool rifle.
Yeah, just letting you know. It won't blow up or anything they just wear out really quickly, mainly the extractors and firing pins. Just too much umph for those old guns. Found out the hard way with an old semi-auto .22 made in the 20s, extractor got worn down to the nub before it made it through one brick of .22LR, so did my Colt Woodsman.
So, on facebook earlier tonight, I noticed Magpul announced their new Carbine-style fixed-stock, to which a lot of members criticized about them developing for an AWB (amongst other things). I personally liked the look of the stock, even though for me a carbine is just rather unrealistic and not useful. What do you guys think? http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG480
it looks nice, depending on the weight and price that might go on my sbr build instead of an arfx-e [editline]21st January 2013[/editline] man this is the first time in a long time I've actually given praise to a magpul product

I bet the docs we're pretty surprised when you demanded the pin back... especially when you told them what it was for, if you told them at all.
Now you got a story to tell... I bet the docs we're pretty surprised when you demanded the pin back... especially when you told them what it was for, if you told them at all.
probably not, last time I had to have metal dug out of me the docs went ahead and asked me when they were done whether or not I wanted to keep it
I have reason to be, I live in Illinois. If a federal one doesn't go through, Emanuel will gladly make one for the state.
Same shit will happen here in Maryland. O'Malley has already said it.
Yeah don't use modern ammo in old guns. I FUCKING LEARNED THE HARD WAY Ex. 1: Shot modern hot .410 through a "Invincible" .410 single shot shotgun, and bloomed the end of the barrel like you see in a cartoon. Sawed off the fucked up part, and gtg next day! I run .22 shorts through my ancient .22 childs/bicycle rifles and subsonic "CB's" through an old Savage pump action gallery gun. Lesson learned, play it safe.

And last I knew, the carbine stocks won't work with A2 buffers, will they?

Found about 300 rounds of .22 in the basement. Pretty sweet considering it's out all over town.
Any of ya'll got any idea what this thing might be? [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26934192/2002-12-08%2012.00.00-3-18.jpg[/t] We saw it at a local Gander Mountain store. The tag on it said it was swiss, but everything else was unknown. Had a price tag of $700, so a bit of a jump for not knowing what it is.
I don't think he wants to spend as much as the gun on 20 rounds of ammo.
Yeah, you'd be right on that one, considerin thats a paycheck for me. I appreciate the info nonetheless. Any clue what it might be worth?
