I think a magpul rfg would be better suited for your configuration than an afg, it's a lot more comfortable to use an rfg if you've got something obstructing the top rail
worth considering if you ever find an rfg for stupid cheap, at least

I had one, can't say I liked it. I usually rest my thumb on the rail. I'm planning on getting rid of that massive surefire and possibly the PEQ.
Finally got around to getting an air rifle today!
Pleased with it so far, very powerful.

Is there a firearm hidden under all that stuff?

Nope this is England

You can get more in terms of long arms than me in Australia
I remember when someone gave me a few of those without telling me what they did. So when I fired my .22 I just heard the firing pin drop and that was about it then I saw an impact a few feet under the target. I figured it was just a crap round so I double checked that the bore was clear and asked what it was that I just shot. After that it just made me giggle because I could watch the rounds pretty clearly through the scope as they crawled towards the target.

Bolt, Semi, Pump what is it? If it's a bolt or you don't mind loading a single shot. These: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/250...ad-solid-point have no powder so there is no chance they'd be too hot, plus, they are easily the quietest round I have ever heard, suppressed or otherwise.

What model .22 is it?
I have a Savage Model 6a from the late 30's, it feeds most .22lr ammo perfectly fine except the cheap Thunderbolt shit.
I'll be able to test ammo once it warms back up, can't wait to try out the new Henry Survival Rifle I bought before my state went batshit.
It's a Mossberg 46 made from 1935-1937. It's a takedown, 22 lr,l,s; with a tubular magazine, 15(lr), 18(l), 22(s). 26" barrel.
Today's the day. Let's hope for a speedy victory

Come on AWB, get shot down in Congress!
Nothing yet on the bill touching congress.
Hopefully kaput?
Anyone heard any update on the AWB? Has it been killed, yet?

For Canada, $25 too much for a laminate stock.
[editline]22nd January 2013[/editline]
If you're dead-set on laminate stock, wait until Tradeex has this back in stock:
http://www.tradeexcanada.com/content/russian-sks-semi-auto-rifle-762x39-laminated-stock-out-stock
Else get this:
http://www.tradeexcanada.com/content/russian-sks-semi-auto-rifle-762x39-select-grade
For a select grade SKS or this:
http://www.tradeexcanada.com/content/russian-sks-semi-auto-rifle-762x39
For a standard Russian Surplus SKS.

Oh look, it comes with 880 rounds of ammo and it's still ~$300 cheaper than south of the border.

It's not fair. You guys get the shit gun laws but get all the nice and cheap Russian and Norinco guns.

I'm sorry, I'm being an ass.
im literally crying right now
just talk to us about AKs. Or FALs, or G3s or fucking anything cool
As cool as it would be to get a SVT for $300, I won't lose that much sleep over it knowing I can buy an AK74 with a 75rd drum

Am I the only one on this thread that dislikes Norinco? Of the models I've held, they've all felt cheap and not worth even the low price they have. Then again, I've already gone over my being rather picky about my weapons.
I'm not a big norinco fan, but the Russian stuff is cool.
[editline]22nd January 2013[/editline]
:ninja:
Russian firearms, too. I've never been big into AKs or SVTs... The Mosin-nagant, though, is an awesome firearm, though I can't bring myself to purchase yet another hunting rifle I would almost never use.
Yeah well at least I can load a full stripper clip into my Russian SKS.
Hunting guns bore the shit out of me
Some 3 round, internal mag, remchester, Monte Carlo stock in some Fudd round thats really obscure like .25478 is like the epitome of boring to me
Military guns are way more fun
Would an M2 machine gun still be functional if you sawed off a part of its barrel? I need to know that for a model I'm making.

I'm okay with their Trench Gun and Winchester 87 clones, and they build good M14s (mostly because they managed to acquire some original machines used by the US to make them). But besides that their guns are terribad.
I do not like their Type 56 clones.

If you mean just cutting it down ala Obrez, yeah, pretty much any gun would.
If you mean just cutting it down ala Obrez, yeah, pretty much any gun would.
It wouldn't cycle if you cut the barrel back too far, but I think it should work fine if you cut it above the gas port.
Great, we're fucked, what happened in Houston made the news even though it was nothing severe.
