which is why all gun-owning australians should team up and tell all the anti-gun people to go fuck themselves as hard as they can
You'll find in countries where there's a large anti-gun presence, the antis are like the NRA there, and gun owners seldom want to fight back because they're constantly worried that if they speak up, things'll get worse for them. The same shit happens here in Canada, too many people are too big of a bunch of pussies to actually unite and stand up for themselves because they're afraid and paranoid that it'll go bad for them. It's really disgusting how effective the social re-engineering actually is, in nations other than the US, people are actually afraid to admit they own guns, and afraid to stand up for them. The pro-gun orgs are usually underfunded and have little to know public or political sway, and nobody knows who they are. The stupidest thing the NRA has ever done is restrict itself to the US only, because every one of the idiots in the US who wants to take your guns away will use the UK, Canada, and Australia as shining examples for gun control. The NRA can help themselves at home by helping abroad, if there's nowhere to make an example of, the antis run out of an argument, and places other than the US desperately need a powerful, vocal gun rights group to get gun owners to wake up and stop being such scared fucking pussies.
and international rifle association doesn't sound like a bad idea at all
Especially if Romney wins they'll just be sitting on their asses with nothing to do, and a few million to spend. Canada and Australia seem like good places to start, the UK would be a big project with how effectively they've had their brains melted by propaganda, but since the UK's right's group is also called the NRA, perhaps it would be easier to take over the namesake and make it means something again. It would also help if gunmakers would put in pamphlets for the local rights organizations when they ship guns internationally. I always comment whenever I sell a US gun with an NRA pamphlet in it that having a National Firearms Association/Canadian Shooting Sports Association pamphlet in it instead would help Canadians so much more than the useless NRA pamphlet, seeing as they don't operate here.
Romney won't win, hopefully... Anyway, I think I might send the issues raised here off to the SSAA and see what happens [editline]8th October 2012[/editline]
They need to harden the fuck up [editline]8th October 2012[/editline] Fuck, page king. it's either airsoft or an actual firearm that's made entirely of plastic
Looks legit to me, you can see discolouration on the brass in the mag, the rounds have been reloaded. If it was airsoft the rounds would all be painted identical and have a odd colouration to them.
I dunno, seen some pretty real looking fake airsoft mags [editline]8th October 2012[/editline] Checked it, it's real
god i want one of them bushmaster bullpup things
god i want one of them bushmaster bullpup things
Invented in Australia to compete against the Steyr AUG, it lost when it exploded during a high profile test, the company went broke and Bushmaster ended up with the rights to it
and international rifle association doesn't sound like a bad idea at all
IRA maybe it would need a new name
They're banned too, as a variant of the AK-47, due to their gas mechanism. There's no such thing as a "destructive device" here, just a restricted, non-restricted, or prohibited one. Fun fact, it's technically easier to get a PTRS-41 in Canada than the US, the hardest part is finding one, but it's a non-restricted firearm, so after you find it all you have to do is show the owner your card, pay him, and take it home. No registration on it anymore. In the US, the PTRS-41 is considered a "destructive device" by the NFA, thus meaning it needs to be registered and a $200 tax stamp needs to be paid, as well as, if I'm not mistaken, the person needing the approval of the local sheriff to get it.
Technically easier to get a lot of different guns in Canada. Could get a Thompson for $500 if only you could get someone to sign off on the paperwork. Be lucky to find a Thompson for $10,000 in the US in addition to playing the Federal Circus game where you must jump through flaming hoops and walk the tightrope without a net.
An SBR? or and airsoft gun...

it's either airsoft or an actual firearm that's made entirely of plastic
It is a real firearm, a registered SBR. My Wilson Combat lower and a Palmetto State Armory 10.5" upper.
Guys, you know what I just found out? The danish government fucking outlawed air rifles when nobody was looking! Now you have to have a hunting license and be registered with the police if you own any with a caliber of over 4.5mm, and you have to keep it in a heavy duty gun safe bolted to the floor to keep it legally. These "guns" are so weak that they even have a hard time hurting smaller animals, making them a poor choice for hunting and now they are illegal for regular people to own? The worst thing is that about 500.000 families own one of these guns, so now they are actually breaking the law. This is just fucking rediculous /rant
As a fellow dane, I'm tempted to move to Norway just for the gun laws. :v:
We don't want you here at all. Airguns above 4,5mm/.17 require you to apply for them and keep them in a safe here too. Been that way for like three years..
I read up on the gun laws here a bit. Actually they are pretty decent if you are a hunter or a sports shooter, but if you aren't, you don't have a chance in hell of owning anything larger than the smallest airrifle or airsoft gun. It's okay I guess, you just have to be registered and you an actually own hand guns in larger calibers even, so in that regard, we are quite a bit ahead of austraila :V
Just got back from selling my shotgun.

This is just fucking rediculous /rant
It's similar to what California is doing and most of the gun control freaks and fucking with the U.S. Laws. By technicality there are two militias in the U.S. , the organized militia and the unorganized militia. The organized militia consists of members of a state's National Guard, while the unorganized militia consists of all males between the ages of 17 to 45 and are citizens of the United States. One of Congress' duties is to make sure these militias are well regulated and equipped in the event of them needing their service.
U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 8: To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress; U.S. Code Title 10, Subtitle A, Part I, Chapter 13, § 311: (a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard. (b) The classes of the militia are— (1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and (2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
California however deems that if an unorganized militia meet, they are a "paramilitary organization" and illegal in the state:
2010 California Penal Code, Article 6: Paramilitary Organizations : (a) Any two or more persons who assemble as a paramilitary organization for the purpose of practicing with weapons shall be punished by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year or by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment.
Meanwhile, the second amendment states:
U.S. Constitution, Amendment II: A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Since the constitution says that the government has to have a well regulated militia and it was further added that there is the organized and unorganized militia, it doesn't take a lawyer to see how badly laws constantly conflict in the country.

america, love it or leave it

With non-lead rounds, the pellets can reach like 1300 fps on rifles that are like, 100 dollars. Still, it's dumb, because if anyone actually tried to kill a person with an air rifle, they would have a hard time and it would be incredibly slow and awkward. I guess they're afraid since it's silent and you can use one in the Hitman games.
Air-guns are for small game, with the Giradoni being the only known exception.
.22 cal airguns are very good for hunting, I use one for squirrels all the time

All airguns =/= 125mps lead slingers bought at Dick's or Walmart. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Asaratha))

[editline]8th October 2012[/editline] Forgot to mention, they don't issue ATTs for prohib rifles, so you'd never be able to shoot one even if you got it, because on private property the only kind of gun you're allowed to shoot is non-restricted.
Funfact. Napoleon banned airguns when he was emperor.
jesus christ, glocks are so fucking ugly
