Am I the only one on this thread that dislikes Norinco? Of the models I've held, they've all felt cheap and not worth even the low price they have. Then again, I've already gone over my being rather picky about my weapons.
Norinco is really hit or miss a lot of the time, they seem to have quality control issues. My pre-ban norinco RPK cycles so smoothly it's not even funny. It's even smoother than my Romanian AK was. But I've heard horror stories about norinco AK's. [editline]22nd January 2013[/editline]
Great, we're fucked, what happened in Houston made the news even though it was nothing severe.
holy shit calm down
Would it work if it was sawed off this far?
Hunting guns bore the shit out of me Some 3 round, internal mag, remchester, Monte Carlo stock in some Fudd round thats really obscure like .25478 is like the epitome of boring to me Military guns are way more fun
Monte Carlo is my favorite style of stock :( seriously though bolt guns are boring
If anything. The shooting in houston will probably help ease tensions. The guy was stopped by a concealed carrier.
holy shit calm down
No man, people thought the first AWB wasn't even going to get past the front doors of the senate, and look what happened.
SAY THAT TO MY FACE
godwin also k98s don't count, I'm talking about the savages, rugers, winchesters, and remingtons that all look/function the same
C'mon, man. The M24 is hella sexy! But no, by discussing the mosin, I simply meant I'd buy one to use for something other than a $100 .30-06 plinker. If I were to collect military firearms (which I'm slowly beginning to do), I typically stick with western firearms of Soviet-bloc. Personal preferences, I suppose. This thing: [img_thumb]http://www.bisonte.us/images/MARM2CARBINE.jpg[/img_thumb] As long as it has a chamber it should work fine, but I don't see the point in chopping the barrel back. It'll just make it less effective as a heavy machine gun. It's not like you can carry one of those around.
Would it work if it was sawed off this far?
I think so. I remember seeing an episode of Sons of Guns where they sawed an M2 down to be a single-person deployable belt-fed. If I remember correctly, they sawed it just a little bit longer than that.
Would an M2 machine gun still be functional if you sawed off a part of its barrel? I need to know that for a model I'm making.
For the most part yes

I'm putting it on in such a way that it's sticking out from a hole that was left after removing front lights, so having a long ass barrel at the front of a car wouldn't be particularly practical.

It's a pretty good looking model by the way. I've been wanting to get back into 3D modeling for a while now, but I never really have the time these days :\
Having a gun that can only be aimed by turning the entire car isn't practical either.
It's enough if you're just chasing someone down. Besides, if you add wires and shit you could make it so you can fire it by just pushing something on the steering wheel, so you wouldn't even have to move your hands off the wheel, that seems practical enough. It looks like this if anyone's interested:
iirc they bastardized an M1919, not an M2. Could be thinking of a different one though
... yes... I think you're right, actually. They built a Virgin M2 kit in a different ep.. sorry!
My co2 airgun came in. First shots are always fun. It was loud as hell and it felt like I fired a flintlock pistol, and smoke came out :v:. Every shot after it was better.
Bought myself a Mosin this weekend, she's a little bit worn down but after cleaning it a bit (probably needs more) / giving it a little gun oil aside from the cosmetic damage it's endured (and the missing cleaning rod which I'd like to punch myself for not noticing, but I've got one coming in the mail this week) I'm pretty happy with it. Imgur gallery because I forgot my DSLR produces fuckhuge pictures
if anyone is interested, i am selling 2 30 round p-mag 2.0's. just PM me for details. It'll obviously be much cheaper than gunbroker magazines. I am really trying to get money up for a tokarev pistol is why I am tryin to sell them so fast.

Very pretty, I personally like them all beat up like that, it gives them "character". How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me askin.

I think (could be wrong) it is, it's much shorter than other 91/30's I've seen in the past, and it's stamped 1940. ~200 because unfortunately they're impossible to find 'round Baltimore anymore :/ On the plus side, all the serial numbers match and it definitely looks like it's killed a few Nazis in it's time.

The bolt, however, is from Tula, while the rest of the rifle is from Izhevsk. (didn't make the connection that the circle with a t in it was actually supposed to be a circle with a hammer in it) :v: Glad that I didn't pay outrageously for it, it's my first Mosin. Can't wait for the ammunition I order to get here.

Unless you have a reason for the Tokarev?
Why a Tokarev? You could get a much better weapon for the same price or a little more. Unless you have a reason for the Tokarev?
You don't really need a reason for owning a Tokarev. They're just cool old pieces of soviet engineering.
You don't really need a reason for owning a Tokarev. One of the other shops I went to also had a Type 99 (that he wanted $500 for) and a boatload of Nagant revolvers.

Next time you take it out of it's stock, search the underside for an import mark, it should look something like this
