CZ-82 is 9x18 and CZ-83 is 9x17 (AKA .380), but I don't know about any 9x19 versions.
I was talking about handguns, specifically with the purchasing under 21, not long-rifles, shotguns, and really, anything else. Also, no; possession is not a felony, however selling to a 'minor' is.
Might help referring to which state you are talking about.
In Virginia, where I live, I can purchase a handgun at 18 as long as it is private sale (or it is gifted to me by a relative). Law also has no age restriction on open carry, because it merely states you have to be 18 to open carry a firearm.
I confirmed it with the police department, and since then, my friend and I have been open carrying to places. Nobody really cares or notices here.
CZ-75, preferably B model. Ruger LCP, GP-101
Ruger LC9.

pretty good way to let maniacs know where they'll receive no opposition

The other opposition I see is CCW isn't allowed where booze is sold regardless.

Sweet, free wi-fi.
You can buy certain guns under age 21 and over age 18.
Carrying when under 21 is a felony and will get your guns taken away for life, so enjoy that risk and consequence when you get busted. Yes it's bullshit but deal with it for another 3 years. The drinking age is bullshit too.
In Virginia, you can open carry any firearm if you are over 18, but only as long as it's unloaded.
In Michigan private handgun purchase and open carry are both legal at 18
[editline]22nd January 2013[/editline]
I can go down to my local police station right now, fill out the form, get my purchase permit and buy a handgun from a private individual and I am under 21. If it were unlawful for someone to sell me that handgun then why it it be lawful for me to receive the purchase permit?
Ah, I stand corrected. I was reading the section for FFL dealers and collectors of the 1968 GCA; I apologize.
Might help referring to which state you are talking about.
I was responding to a person saying they lived in Virginia, as well as mentioned I was from VA as well mid-way through my post. I apologize for any confusion. And as said above, I do stand corrected on Federal FFL legislation. I confused FFL collectors to be implied for any and all private sales.

concealed means concealed. I'll keep carrying to buffalo wild wings.
that's not a legal sign anyway, there's really specific requirements as to what signs are valid regarding prohibited carry

So they can't get you legally, but I think they'd be able to ban you from their restaurants? I'm not trying to be mean, just curious what the ramifications would be.

If it's concealed, they shouldn't know. Just don't wave it around and say "THIS GUN IS CONCEALED GUYS, OKAY!?"

So you can't carry then.

Slightly late, but the M2 doesn't have a gas port, it's recoil operated. If you cut the barrel back too much you won't get the muzzle velocity required to produce the recoil required to cycle the gun
He's mistaken. You may carry loaded OC in Virginia, as well. Virginia laws are vague and follow a 'You may not break these laws', not a 'you may only do these things' approach.
Again, I've done it in my state with no issue, and have been saluted a time or two by the local police for doing so, as have others around me.
Edit: that was a response to Faze, sorry. Was a touch too slow.

These state and local laws that clash with each other and the constitution. You can be in the same state and cross city or county lines and immediately be a felon when you're really doing nothing wrong.
It's just a total clusterfuck of bullshit that has to stop.
I think it's a good thing.
Obviously it is working for us gun owners. We have one of the most lenient states in regards to control. The recent AWB attempt in Virginia got shot down immediately without any further legislation.
I also recently found out you can own a suppressor in VA without any registration on it. Pretty interesting.

yeah, ATF vs. State laws vs. Local laws is really silly. I had to sit in a pawnshop for 3 hours when I picked up one of my guns because I was using my michigan license in Georgia. The lady the guy talked to at the ATF basically told him that it's OK by them, but the Georgia senate might get pissy. Shit's 'tarded.
I also recently found out you can own a suppressor in VA without any registration on it. Pretty interesting.
Supposedly you can in a state with an FFA law in place too, though I don't think anyone has actually tested it by making or buying a suppressor to find out.
With the exception of LEO, I don't believe there's any registration for firearms at all in VA. I know neither my Dad nor I had to do anything whenever bringing gifted firearms home from other states after he moved here.
On a different note; does anyone know of any good retention holsters for a 1911 for lefties? Preferably nothing expensive.

If you have a Concealed Carry license then that sign means nothing. There is no law against having a firearm in a public restaurant, even if the restaurant doesn't consent.
I would CC in there anyway if I had a license, it's concealed for a reason, not like they're going to see it.
Also what, do they expect police officers to leave their pistols in the car?

I thought he meant the M2 Carbine, not the M2HB.
There's a few guns with the "M2" and even the M1 designation that it gets kind of confusing.

I'm thinking that it's pretty obvious that police officers would be able to carry inside.

It just seems incredibly silly to hold such a double standard.
Police officers have done horrible things with their guns too. They are, after all, human.
