I think under this law the Archangel M91/30 stock would be illegal. Because detachable mags. Bolt actions kill thousands of people, everyone!
Well mosins certainly have. I think bolt guns are specifically exempt anyway
I think under this law the Archangel M91/30 stock would be illegal. Because detachable mags. Bolt actions kill thousands of people, everyone!

The legislation excludes the following weapons from the bill:  Any weapon that is lawfully possessed at the date of the bill’s enactment;  Any firearm manually operated by a bolt, pump, lever or slide action;  Assault weapons used by military, law enforcement, and retired law enforcement; and  Antique weapons.
How are antique weapons defined? Can I get a C&R AR15 and call it an antique?
The cutoff date is 1899 for antiques. It changes every so years as time passes so maybe one day you will :v:
That's the cutoff date for the NFA but this is an unrelated bill. That year has never changed, btw
That's the cutoff date for the NFA but this is an unrelated bill. That year has never changed, btw
No, that's from the Gun Control Act of 1968, which is where the legal definition of an "antique firearm" comes from. To my knowledge this bill does not change the definition, though I could be wrong.
(A) any firearm (including any firearm with a matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system) manufactured in or before 1898; and (B) any replica of any firearm described in subparagraph (A) if such replica -- (i) is not designed or redesigned for using rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed ammunition, or (ii) uses rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed ammunition which is no longer manufactured in the United States and which is not readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade.
And I suppose it hasn't changed. I take that back. It should change though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antique_gun#United_States
So I sold my AK, and I didn't get stabbed or shot or have it stolen. Went smooooooothe and legal. 2
So I sold my AK, and I didn't get stabbed or shot or have it stolen. Went smooooooothe and legal. 2
Which AK and what did you get for it?
Which AK and what did you get for it?
WASR10/63 with a bumpfire stock through a private sale for 800$ cash.
WASR10/63 with a bumpfire stock through a private sale for 800$ cash.
So did you like double your money on that one gun?
So did you like double your money on that one gun?
Almost doubled. I'm hoping to either buy a Romanian PSL once this all calms down, or a original scoped mosin.
damnit and I was just planning on taping a LAW to an AR15
Anyone got a Fatman attachment we can strap to our AR-15s, when the masterkey just isn't enough to break down that damned wooden door?

We got some LC380's in at work today... Awesome little guns to be honest.
Why is 5.56 always so fucking expensive
Because everybody and their brother owns an AR-15 or other .223 caliber rifle.
