This was posted friggin 5 hours ago. I want to go see what I can get for my AK at the show tomorrow, but how the hell do I deal with an 8 day wait??
It's physically impossible to use it in competitive shooting. It takes more than 15 seconds to unload and load.
He snapped a hammer on it. I've shot that same gun, but with a 12" barrel, it was fun, you can shoot both off at the same time due to the 2 triggers.
I'm sure it's a fun gun, but I wouldn't want to buy a chinese double barrel, at least not one online.
Wadcutters are usually needlessly expensive and hard to come by around here, FMJ tend to be the cheapest and most accessible. Also, I though you may need the specific bullet due to the way the factory ammo looks with the rolled-in crimp, but after reading this, where the guy used a .30 cal Hornady hollow-point, I realize it's not necessary, but would just probably give better performance, though also likely shorten case life. Also, why the balls would I use a Nagant revolver in ISSF matches? I'd be getting it for the history and reloading for it to shoot it for the hell/fun of it. Besides, IPSC is more popular than ISSF up here, and IPSC generally uses whatever pistol ammo you please, and for the pistols they use it's not usually wadcutters they're firing.
I mentioned ISSF meaning the parts would be everywhere and thus easy to get
1. the number is heavily dependent upon your load, and how confident you are with the brass your loading. 2. Why don't you file down the burr, or bring it in to be filed down? I had to file down a burr in my mosin, as it was making it impossible to cycle the bolt after firing.
Because I've already fucked up ~39 cases, and I'm getting rid of the gun because it doesn't shoot straight.
Can you point out the burr on a diagram or something? This sounds like something I should do for my Mosin.
Can you point out the burr on a diagram or something? This sounds like something I should do for my Mosin.
It's a metal defect, rather than a part that's meant to be there.
no clue, but lets not dwell on bad memories
What exactly is that list from? Is that what they are trying to ban? Or what.
What exactly is that list from? Is that what they are trying to ban? Or what.
there's an AWB going through congress, just in case you've been living under a rock.
I don't really follow the news. It all just sounds like a bunch of idiots banging their heads on rocks about stuff that isn't a problem/threat to society.
Nate, I'm reposting what a member said a few pages ago (Sorry, I didn't take notice to who it was) and giving a minor explanation for you and anyone else who doesn't understand (I'm sure there are more that either aren't from the states, or who just haven't heard). Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) proposed an Assault Weapons Ban Thursday. The list is of specific named firearms to be banned from sale, manufacture, transportation, et cet. if the law would pass both houses and signed by the President. The article explains that the Senate (Democrat held) does not (as of the date of the article) hold enough support from the Democrats on the legislation. Any fresher news than that? I haven't seen any media coverage whatsoever of this bill.
Any fresher news than that? I haven't seen any media coverage whatsoever of this bill.
it's been introduced into congress but thats it so far. It might be a while before it goes up to vote because I think congress still has some financial stuff that has to go through first. Don't quote me on that though.
Any fresher news than that? I haven't seen any media coverage whatsoever of this bill.
There is no coverage because its DOA in congress, and the media has other things to talk about.
Apparently there is talk about gun rights rally 2: electric boogaloo February 8th. Is there any organization for it like guns across america?
There is no coverage because its DOA in congress, and the media has other things to talk about.
Last I knew, it was DOA in committee, citing the lack of support from both sides of the aisle. Granted, I've not seen or heard much for quite a while; but without overwhelming support, it won't get out of committee and will likely stay there indefinitely.
Sold my AK today...
unless that money is able to sling bullets at lethal velocities i think you've made a horrible decision
Sold my AK today...
When I sold my AK, the dood gave me a massive stack of 5$ bills. With me being dyslexic, I had to sit there and count it like 6 times.
unless that money is able to sling bullets at lethal velocities i think you've made a horrible decision
I've still got plenty of those...
Im having a problem with my AK's stock http://i.imgur.com/CnOSG0X.jpg Anyone know how to fix this?
Well yeah, replace the shitty slide stock with something nicer :v:
Im having a problem with my AK's stock http://i.imgur.com/CnOSG0X.jpg Anyone know how to fix this?
VLTOR stock tube? You need to use the shims that came with it. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline]
Well yeah, replace the shitty slide stock with something nicer :v:
I saw a couple A1 AR-15s today. Triangle handguards, smoothside receivers, etc.
VLTOR stock tube? You need to use the shims that came with it.
I used the shims. Do I need to loosen/tighten the screws?
I used the shims. Do I need to loosen/tighten the screws?
I honestly can't be sure. I bought mine from a shop, and the gunsmith installed it immediately for me.
Went down to the range today and ran into a group of mossy oak dinguses with AK-47s and no trigger discipline / muzzle control. Damnit, Maryland. This is why we can't have nice things. I also realized that I am a little rusty on my marksmanship and couldn't get a tight grouping for shit. Going to have to get more practice in. Oh, and the king of the dinguses (he had bakelite magazines and a mossy oak bag of tacticool accessories, as well as an inability to pay attention to where he was pointing his muzzle [The guy who was next to me noticed it first and politely told him to quit being a dipshit]) decided to rock out in full auto right under the "No automatic weapons, 1 round per second on everything else" sign.

My project has begun.
AKM's* dinguses don't own glorious AK-47's, ya dingus. FOR YOUR HEALTH
Another interesting anecdote: King Dingus was putting on his tacticool basspro reflex sight and in the process managed to sweep over literally every single person on the firing line. His ass was promptly chewed. During his automatic funtime he also shot through the leg of one of the target stands.
