I live in Canada, would have been the same shit, I still wouldn't have let it go.
Everybody at my school is autistic about guns and are 100% positive there would be no crime ever without guns. It's infuriating.

One of the associate deans at my uni is the leader of the Coalition for Gun Control. I've wanted to start a pro-gun club at the school, but I know she'd probably do something to stop it.

Why the G11 mag?

I don't really think a pro-gun club would fly in most schools really, regardless of your Dean being part of that group.
Certainly wouldn't happen in my school, what with there being a shooting just a few years back. They're still really sensitive about it, a security guard once told off a friend of mine for playing a FPS in the atrium

Analog for my 30rd Glock mag :P
So I may be turning my Arisaka into a Mosin. Not the Nagant Revolver I was hoping for, but this is just the first offer, and hey, it's about damn time I got myself a Mosin McNugget. It'll just be more motivation for me to get the other half of that equation, the revolver.
In 8th Grade we had a mini debate project and the topic I was given was gun control. I used facts and really solid information (pro gun obviously) and I was super proud of my side. My partner was an dipshit and didn't do anything to help. The other team was two girls and they said "we dnt need gnus bcuz guns kill ppl and thats what cops r 4" and other BS about how guns cause crime and guns are bad etc. End result: I LOST
I cried
Also I hate when people talking about guns say "Bushmaster AR-15" or some shit like saying the mfg. makes a difference about what kind of gun it is. EX: "Kalashnikov AK47" I also hate when they just say the mfg. and the caliber like that actually describes the gun. EX:"Beretta 9mm" or "Smith & Wesson .45" Can you tell I don't like gun idiots? I think people who are trying to ban a certain type of weapon should be an expert on that type of weapon so they actually know about the gun, other than its full auto and accepts 30 round magazines.
ehehe, when I was in school in Georgia, I had to write and present a speech of my choosing for a leadership elective. I of course did it on gun control and why certain provisions were really silly, like engraved firing pins/bullets. I had my Leadership and Chemistry teacher come up to me afterwards and asked me to help them find surplus ammunition online for their SKS'. <3 Georgia.
So I just found out that getting a AOW tax stamp isn't just 5bux, its 5bux plus whatever the dealer decides to charge you (usually 200$).
So much for a .410 flare gun ;-;

A transfer on an AOW is only $5, regardless. Sounds like the dealer you visited wants to rip you a new one.

I didn't go to any dealers yet, just some Google results told me that.
If its on the internet it must be true.
Looks like .22lr inserts arent an NFA item due to rifled barrel. Shame I would have a better chance of finding 26.5mm flares than .22lr.

where are you that .22LR isn't the most common and cheap round available?

It's $5, the dealer can charge what they want and you can go to any dealer you want

At the moment all the stores around me that sell ammo only have shorts and shotshell left. People are even charging damn near 60$ for a box of 525 federal. I got lucky and found a box of federal target grade .22lr and still have a half box of 333.
M4s are useful for more than just shooting taliban.

I said that would happen a billion times and everyone was just like NO WAY THE POLICE WILL JUST SHOO AWAY THE COLLECTORS
That's how it should be done. All firearms are being purchased by legitimate collectors, and the entire 'gun buyback' is being monitored by Police Officers to prevent underage sellers.
Ready to get mad?

This is the most idiotic anti-gun group I have ever seen.

When I got my LAW tube, the same day a woman pulled over with steam pouring out of her engine on her old Volvo. The gas struts on the hood were shot, so while I tried to troubleshoot her car (turned out to be a cracked radiator), I held the hood up with the LAW. Was a perfect fit :v:

Are you sure they aren't talking about the cost of the tax stamp itself? The tax stamp costs $200 no matter what.

A Jap, a Nazi and an Italian walk into a BAR
Speaking of the bar and WW2.
Handled a thompson M1928A1 for the first time yesterday.
And fucking wow.
I was not expecting that thing to be so heavy.
Wasn't expecting it to be heavier than a loaded m4.
Hell, it's even heavier than an AK47.
and an Italian walk into a BAR
I wish I could, dammit. I'd buy that thing immediately.

I got to handle one at the local gunshow, sturdy as all hell, but like you said... Heavy motherfucker.
Must have been fun running around Europe with that thing.
Plus all the ammo and other gear you had to tote around.

My grandfather lugged one of those through the Pacific, he and his squad always complained about it's weight, they all traded out for M1 carbines first chance they got.
when i was in the war i would use my rifle to work out because it wasn't no namby-pamby space-age lightweight polymer bullshit
