Does anyone know if you can buy more than one (nonregulated) firearm in maryland within 30 days? I know without paperwork and licenses you can't buy more than one regulated (Class III, NFA, Handguns) firearm but the best I can find is that long gun and shotgun purchases aren't regulated, so that sounds like that means it's legal?

If Maryland is like the rest of (most of) the US, you can walk into a gunshop and walk out with a dozen AR's if you wanted to, so long as you pass a backround check. If theres a waiting period, you might have to wait a few days to pick up your firearms.

nah, fortunately for long guns as long as it's not regulated it's cash and carry, no waiting period. It was fun walking down the street to my car in Essex with my Mosin (in a box) and getting nervous glances from people

I didn't really want to politicize it by adding the NRA, but I'll add the SAF and Iraqveteran
So I got one of the older Surefire incan weapon light systems for my Colt. Incans do a lot better than LEDs with filters, and I like to run a red filter on my rifle. Anyway, was not expecting much out of it because it's a halogen bulb. Once I got some fresh batteries in it, I "tested it out". I'm still seeing a big bright green spot...

Thanks for reminding me that I was to buy an AR-15 that looked like Snake's but my state just banned AR-15s completely.
The interesting thing is a lot of people I've chatted with aren't going to register their guns at all so I wonder how effective these new laws are really going to be.

A lot of people say that. I had to look it up online because it's been almost five years since I last played that game. A good majority of the parts are the same as the one in the game, but a lot of them are common parts anyway. I think it's the color scheme that grabs the most attention though, because that's pretty much exact.

I tossed SAF in there, but I'll leave the NRA out since they lobby more for conservatism now-a-days. NRA lost my last bit of respect for them when they said to vote for Romney, even though he was pro AWB.

To sum it up:
Having any of the following on a semiautomatic rifle that can use external mags:
Pistol grip
Scope
Folding stock
Adjustable length stock
Foregrip (vertical and angled)
Are now illegal completely and need to be sold out of state in a year.
In addition:
All mags must be 7 rounds or less
10 rounders owned before 1/15/2013 can be pinned within a year to 7 rounds without penalty
Any >10 round mags must be handed in, sold or destroyed. No grandfathering at all.
Any AR-15 variants and Saiga/AK variants are now considered Assault weapons in any config and must be sold or handed in to police within a year.
