Does anyone know if you can buy more than one (nonregulated) firearm in maryland within 30 days? I know without paperwork and licenses you can't buy more than one regulated (Class III, NFA, Handguns) firearm but the best I can find is that long gun and shotgun purchases aren't regulated, so that sounds like that means it's legal?

If theres a waiting period, you might have to wait a few days to pick up your firearms.
Man, the New Orleans Police Department is about to be facing a shit storm before long. There was a recent incident at a Whole Foods Market where a person open carrying his pistol was grabbed behind the neck, and his gun taken from his holster by a police officer, without being informed of what was happening. He was then forced to the back of the store and detained. Open carrying, and carrying in a store is perfectly legal in Louisiana. What the officer did however was very illegal. The Whole Fords Market did have a no firearms policy, but there were no signs posted. Even so, with signs posted, they are not enforced by law. The only time anything can be enforced is if he would have been asked to leave, and then he refused to leave. However, none of that occurred. The officer had no legal right in the state of Louisiana to disarm him, or detain him. Basically, the charges are assault and illegal detainment. The guy it happened to has pictures of the store entrances showing no signs posted, has the security footage of the incident from the store, and he had the encounter in the back of the store recorded on his phone. Multiple lawyers were jumping at the chance to take the case, and he has already chosen one. He is suing the police department, as well as the store because the store hired the officer to represent them.

Anytime a police officer or security guard is paid for security detail, they are representing that establishment. In the case of police officers, their department does not pay them for security detail, the actual place they do the detail at pays them. Security details are also done on an officer's day off. It's basically extra pay for them, if they choose to do it. If they choose to do it, they are representing the establishment as well as their department.
They're having him instead of a lawyer on the case though. That's what I meant.
I remember a bit back someone had an informative post about the Tiers of M1 Carbines. Just out of curiosity sake, what were they? Something like, best ones, average ones, and shitty ones.

It was fun walking down the street to my car in Essex with my Mosin (in a box) and getting nervous glances from people

[editline]29th January 2013[/editline] This threads going to end soon, so I'll make the next thread if theres no objections. We don't have a banner, so if someone wants to make one and PM it to me or post here, that'd be pretty rad. I'm gonna try and make a new OP that lists some good youtube names and decent places to buy from. sound decent?

With all the firearms related fb posts I made recently, I wonder who's gonna start freaking out first :v
Iraqveteran would be another good channel. Maybe a link to the NRA, or SAF? Just my thoughts.
I didn't really want to politicize it by adding the NRA, but I'll add the SAF and Iraqveteran
So I got one of the older Surefire incan weapon light systems for my Colt. Incans do a lot better than LEDs with filters, and I like to run a red filter on my rifle. Anyway, was not expecting much out of it because it's a halogen bulb. Once I got some fresh batteries in it, I "tested it out". I'm still seeing a big bright green spot... stop i want an ar now i dont have enough guns ;_;
After Obama got reelected, I can't recommend IV8888 to anyone anymore. So we might as well allow our members who wish to "get involved" the access to the right resources.
Reminds me of the M4A1 that Snake uses in MGS4
Thanks for reminding me that I was to buy an AR-15 that looked like Snake's but my state just banned AR-15s completely. The interesting thing is a lot of people I've chatted with aren't going to register their guns at all so I wonder how effective these new laws are really going to be.
Reminds me of the M4A1 that Snake uses in MGS4
A lot of people say that. I had to look it up online because it's been almost five years since I last played that game. A good majority of the parts are the same as the one in the game, but a lot of them are common parts anyway. I think it's the color scheme that grabs the most attention though, because that's pretty much exact. NRA lost my last bit of respect for them when they said to vote for Romney, even though he was pro AWB.

I've actually heard alot of people from NY are planning to not register their guns. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. You know, civil disobedience and all that.
