It's this kind of thing that baffles me. She has to know just how flawed the appeal to emotion argument is, yet she constantly uses it. What is her real motivation in that case? The only thing I can think of is making it easier to control the population or that she has some kind of irrational fear of weapons.
Well she does have a CPL because she claims terrorists are out to get her...

That sure did a lot to stop the north hollywood shootout didn't it?
North hollywood is a great example as to why an AWB doesn't work, and why it only works against legitimate gun owners.
The cops had pistols and shotguns, the bad guys had full auto assault rifles, an m16, few AKs, and a HK-91. They had to go get AR-15's from a gun shop to do jack because the guys had full body armor.
Cops couldn't do anything till they got the AR's.

I'm not the type of person that thinks the gubment is out to get my guns, but Feinstein makes me feel overly paranoid. Her bills are so illogical and statistics from a dozen different government agencies and 3rd party groups suggest that her AWB's won't work, but she still pushes them. Theres no way she thinks that these will work. Again, I hate this mindset and I don't buy into it, but it's almost like she actually is trying to eventually disband the 2nd amm.

The one and only reason I got the .22 barrel first is because it is cheap to shoot. That is it.
Eventually I plan on getting a .45lc/.410 barrel and a .223 barrel.

I'm expecting to get around 580 back on my tax return, but I'm not sure what to do with it.
My only gun is a Mosin, and I'd like a smaller caliber rifle or maybe a shotgun. Well, plus a cleaning kit and a decent amount of ammo.
Anyone know of a decent semi-auto .22-250? We live in coyote country so I'm thinking of getting a decent varminter that I can also plink with.
Maybe I'll just get a 10/22 or a Marlin XT-17. Only problem with that is the impossibly hard to find ammo right now.

Don't go .22-250 unless you plan on reloading cause it might be cheaper than .223 or .22lr right now, but it won't be for long. Also if coyote hunting is your reason then I'd get a .223 or other, I would say a bolt action .223 would be ideal with your budget. Something from Savage or possibly CZ... I think Mossberg makes a .223 bolt gun that even accepts AR mags, so bam. I am sure someone else here has an idea for a gun beside what I suggested. Ruger 10/22, Marlin 795's, Savages' model, Remingtons' model, tones of options out there if a .22 is what you want.

So I've got a small crack on the stock of my Mosin, to the left side of the receiver right at the end above the tang. It's an M38 so stocks seem hard to come by (no bubba ATI stock for me) would some nice wood glue be enough to hold it or should I reinforce it with a sanded down brass screw or something?
If only the British had them. The mad minute on steroids.

Cool, I snagged a hangnail on it while shooting it last (when I noticed the crack) and slowly bled out of my fingernail for about ten minutes. Fortunately the range went cold right then so I fashioned a Stalingrad bandage out of some duct tape and a tissue.

First I'd try epoxy (the liquid kind that comes in 2 parts and you mix)
If it cracks again, then add the brass screw
