You ever have anything nice to say, ever?
Any thoughts on the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle? Wondering if it's any good.
My buddy picked one up from Cabela's as soon as they hit the market. It's got a great bolt pull and the detachable mags are wonderful, plus it's heavy enough to soak up a lot of recoil. The AR-style sights are also pretty nice and easy to use.

Hmm figured I was catching more shit for buying a full sized PAP still. I guess you're over that. I retract my statement.

i never cared? why would i care what you do with your money?
no, faze, i don't care about your pap and i never did, i just thought it was hilarious how you told us about your new great rifle when it really was pretty mundane and contained a lot of proprietary parts + a shitty dust cover rail that you refused to accept was bad
getting a plastic ar lower is a pretty bad idea though, this is coming from someone loving the idea of polymer framed pistols.
mmmm dat zastava ak pistol mmmmm
must pick one up when i get the dosh
Dunno why this post was rated dumb, those M92 Yugo AK pistols are fucking sexy:

Not only are they Yugoslavian, and thus awesome, they're also really cheap starting points for an M92 SBR.
Are lancaster AK's any good? http://www.lancasterarms.com/NEW%20STAMPED%20AK47%20%20PAGE.htm
I really just want a classic AK47 with wood furniture that isn't junk and won't eat my wallet like an AR10 with .308 ammo and the fact a good AR10 is probably $1100 or more. This AK will probably be just to dick around with target practice and hog hunting.
Lancasters are nice. They used to set up a table at the local gun show. Smoothest AK action I've ever felt. No catching or dragging at all. Like a straight pull bolt action rifle.
I know this is completely late for the top of the page, but I've fired both the polymer lower and metal lower ar15s, honestly the polymer feels disgusting.
Yeah Lancasters are great AK's. Go for that.
Yeah Lancasters are great AK's. Go for that.
Alright then, I'll probably report back in about 6 months when I get another job.
Bushmaster has always been reliable...
Those lowers work, and I know of plenty of people who run them and have run them for a while without many problems. The problem is they are weaker than aluminum or steel and can break easier.
The only way I'd ever consider a polymer AR lower is if I had a 3D printer and could just print out a new receiver whenever the last one breaks.
Shit, that'd be fucking awesome.
Does anyone think it would be difficult to make a SVD rear end style stock for a .22? I very much like the look of them. Thinking I might do it when I get my first rifle in a month or so

Also, I'm thinking I'll go with a CZ, good choice?

Why stop at AR lowers... think of the possibilities with some schematics and a 3-D printer.

AR's, Glocks, most pistol lower receivers, Tec-9's, pretty much an entire Steyr AUG.
The possibilities are endless!
Fixed my SKS's gas tube rattling problem.

If you find a Lancaster AK off the shelf, it will be a good one. BUT NEVER EVER ORDER ONE FROM THEM.

It matches the wood and metal of the SKS wonderfully.

If you have a mill it shouldn't be any problem if you make a laminated piece of wood then cut it out to your liking.
Just glue a bunch of thin plates together, apply pressure for a day or two then it should be okay
Cz rifles are excellent. Which are you thinking of? Cz 455s have better vanilla triggers than both 452s and 453s. Also, they feature barrel change (.17HMR,.22LR,.22WMR)

The cheapest one I can get. My local gunshop has a CZ452 on special for $650 with a scope. Not bad for Australian gun prices. I'll have a look out for a 455 though
Brno series 2, 3, 4 and 5 are identical except just older and stamped BRNO instead of Cz. Guessing those would be cheaper if you find one.
My Winchester Wildcat (Basically a Toz 78) is a nice little .22
Small, light, and cheap. Got it for only $450, and it came with 4 mags. One 5 round magazine and three 10 round magazines.
It is brilliant.
I'll keep an eye out for them
