I've not seen any mention of such, so I doubt it.
Do they make reproductions in higher calibers?
only ones I've seen are in .22lr.

Damn, I don't see why they don't.
Realistically speaking, how hard would it be to convert one of these .22 versions into say a 5.56? or 303? or any major rifle caliber
Donno why you would want it in 303, but a 308 STG-44 replica would be pretty damn cool.

Well mabye not a 303, im just in a 303 thinking kinda mood, due to th fact that I just bought a Lee enfield, But a 308 would be awesome, but its kinda large, what mass produced caliber is closes to the original MP44/STG44 caliber?
My troop is getting custom engraved AR-10s made for about 800 dollars. Shit is awesome.

Closest would probably be 7.62x39, but the originals fired 7.92x33.

L-R
7.92 Kurz (STG-44 boolet), 7.62x39(AK-47), 5.56x45(AR-15).
.308 would be a bit much, something like 7.62x39 would probably fit better, but I've always liked .308.
Do they make reproductions in higher calibers?
I'd love to have one in 7.62x39. Ballisticly superior but in the same operating principal.

Few pages late, but what upper/lower are you running?
I just bought an LMT 10.5 upper, and having it sent to my dad's house (because you know, constructive intent and all). This is going to be my first NFA. I'm going to type up my own trust, and I have a lawyer that is going to go over it for me. Going to have my Colt lower engraved as well, and just use that.
what caliber do you run through your ar platform
[sp]something about me hates the term "run" and "platform" in regards to guns. i prefer "shoot" and "pattern"[/sp]

Me and my dad use 5.56 62 grains when we are hunting hogs and cheap little .223 55 grains when we are target practicing.

The lower is a Wilson Combat. I have a matching upper running a 16" midlength. The upper is a Palmetto State Armory 10.5". I ended up selling the upper with a Spike's lower in pistol configuration when I got the M1A.
Got me some ammo for the very first time today. Got a 100 rounds of 22lr and 100 rounds of 22lr hollow points.
Come at me zombies

I've got thousands of rounds of various calibers.

There's a company that makes reproductions of both the FG-42 (first and second model) and the STG-44 in their original calibers, but they cost upwards of $4,000.
I have uh... 8 shells of .410 birdshot. so... come at me squirrels...
I've decided to take the Nugg out for a quick clean.
There was enough grease to cook flapjacks.

If only they would make an FG-42 in either 5.56 or 7.62 NATO caliber.

I would normally be against such a thing, but imagine having a battle rifle version of the above.

but the fg42 is a battle rifle
but the fg42 is a battle rifle
I meant a modern battle rifle, fulfilling a role like the M14 did.
it was technically a battle rifle but it was used more in the same role as a BAR or similar

I'm fairly certain you just posted a picture of a 7.62 NATO FG-42.
The gun in the picture is a modification of the FG-42 reproductions I speak of.
They're also sexy as shit, for a modernized version of a 70 year old gun. I usually hate modern guns with rails out the ass, but I would actually love to own one of those.
I meant a modern battle rifle, fulfilling a role like the M14 did.
yeah it...did.
m14 did roughly the same thing in its short service life, saw use as a LMG/SAW, service rifle, etc.

are you sure it's a 552 and not a 522 because 522s go for anywhere between 450 and 500
I think my dad has about, 1000.22lr, 300 9mm, 150 .223 Remington, 100 7.62x54mmR, and about 5kgs of powder

its probably the .22 version. Saw one at walmart the other day when I was picking up some 7.62x39mm.
